“One down!” Itsuki cheered like a child.

“Die!” Unable to contain their rage, the other ninjas launched various jutsus, including a shadow technique from a Nara clan member.

Unfortunately, Itsuki turned the Body Flicker Technique into an art. He didn’t need substitution or shadow-clone judsu, just the body-flicker technique, which he seemingly teleported around the barrier.

The Root ninjas’ frantic attacks, one jutsu after another, had no effect. When they paused, it was Itsuki’s turn to strike.

“Wind Style: Vacuum Bullet!” Itsuki inhaled, releasing wind chakra like bullets and tearing a ninja.

“Two!” Itsuki held up two fingers in a victory sign.

Itsuki looked up, smiling, “The barrier is breaking? Alright, let’s finish this!”

He turned to the remaining two ninjas. They trembled in fear. Root ninjas were said to be emotionless, mere tools of Danzo. Itsuki proved that even Root ninjas could feel fear.

“Lightning Style: Lightning Fang!” A lightning spear pierced a ninja’s chest, sending his body flying backward.

“Boom!”
“Crack!”
The lightning spear smashed into the barrier, tearing it apart. Outside, many people had already gathered.

The scene that greeted them was a Root ninja, impaled by a lightning spear, pinned before them. Behind him, a blindfolded boy with a gentle smile stood in the sunlight, exuding a warm feeling. Yet, the surrounding corpses stained the sunlight blood-red.

For a moment, the world stood still.
