Itsuki walked forward with a smile, waving his hand in greeting. His demeanor was like that of a parade.
Fugaku looked around, lingering briefly on the masked corpses before slowly speaking, “Itsuki, what is this…”
The masked ninjas were clearly from Root. Was Itsuki fighting with Root? Had they wholly torn each other apart? This thought spread through the minds of many.
“I’m playing hide and seek. If I catch you, it’s a ninjutsu.” Itsuki chirped. “How about it, Fugaku? Want to join in? It’s more fun with everyone.”
He walked out bathed in blood. The surrounding ninjas died gruesomely, yet Itsuki’s outstanding appearance, bathed in sunlight, created a beautiful yet bloody scene. Like… a demonic savior.
A suffocating sense of oppression hung in the air. Everyone held their breath, their eyes filled with horror.
Yamanaka Inoichi murmured, “Strong, very strong, extremely strong.” His voice was low enough for the two people beside him to hear.
Nara Shikaku looked at his old comrade, his eyes deep. The first he had ever heard was such an evaluation from Yamanaka Inoichi, one of Konoha’s top sensory ninjas.
No matter how one looked at him, Uchiha Itsuki was extremely dangerous.
Suddenly, Yamanaka Inoichi spoke again, “Someone’s coming, it’s Danzo!”
“Uchiha Itsuki!” A roar echoed.
Danzo, surrounded by several Root ninjas, arrived. Seeing the corpses and blood, veins bulged on his forehead. These were his Root ninjas! His elite forces! He had sent twelve Root members to capture Itsuki—four Jonin and eight Special Jonin, representing a third of his high-end forces! And they were all dead. His heart ached.
Danzo trembled all over, his eyes filled with hatred. He glared at Itsuki as if he wanted to tear him apart. Simultaneously, there was a flicker of fear deep in his eyes. Uchiha Itsuki, despite losing his Mangekyo Sharingan and even becoming blind, was this strong? He had hidden his strength well.
Itsuki smiled at Danzo, “Danzo-sama, you’re here. Wait a moment, I’m almost done, just a bit more.”
He turned his gaze to the last remaining Root ninja.
“One minute, no, just a moment!”
The Root ninja shivered and rushed towards Danzo, “Danzo-sama, save me!”
“Clap!”
Itsuki clasped his hands together. The seal was simple. One breath was enough!
“Uchiha Itsuki, stop!” Danzo roared in fury, “Attack, kill him!”
“Hmm?” Danzo’s words made the Uchiha ninjas’ eyebrows raise in anger. The other Konoha ninjas were stunned.
Wow! Publicly declaring to kill the Uchiha clan’s genius? Especially when Uchiha Itsuki was already under the spotlight. Danzo-sama, you’re pretty brave. Are you sure about this? There were a lot of Uchiha ninjas here because of Itsuki and Shisui’s injuries. Enough to overpower Danzo and his Root. Danzo openly issued a kill order, showing no regard for the Uchiha.
Even the usually stern Uchiha Fugaku was filled with anger. The Uchiha were ready to fight at any moment. But they didn’t get the chance.
“Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Flame!”
Itsuki used his fire jutsu on the last Root ninja. Itsuki’s massive chakra caused even the sensory ninjas to feel suffocated momentarily. An endless sea of flames spread out, raising the temperature around them. The extreme heat caused nearby trees to catch fire. Even the Uchiha, who specialized in fire jutsu, kept retreating. They stared in shock at the fierce flames.
Uchiha Sougi murmured, “Fugaku, can your Majestic Destroyer Flame do that?”
Fugaku’s face was grim, remaining silent. Silence was the best answer. As everyone was in shock, someone suddenly exclaimed.
“Where’s Danzo?”
Someone had a strange expression. Just now, Itsuki’s fire jutsu had targeted the Root ninja, but the ninja had run towards Danzo. In the end, Danzo took it all!
Fugaku’s face was dark, reluctantly gritting his teeth, “Save him!”
“No need!” Yamanaka Inoichi said with a strange look, “They’re out.”
With that, “Boom!” Two figures burst from the flames. The crowd saw it was Danzo. But Danzo was in a miserable state. His body had extensive burns, his face was blackened with soot, his cane was missing, and his bandages were still on fire. In front of everyone, his hair caught fire.
The Root ninja beside him was in even worse shape, emitting the smell of roasted meat. Look, even the Akimichi clan’s big guy was swallowing his saliva.
“Pant, pant!” Danzo panted heavily, his expression twisted, his eyes filled with resentment as he stared at the flames. A figure loomed within the fire—Uchiha Itsuki!
It wouldn’t have made Danzo and his Root so miserable if it was just a Majestic Destroyer Flame. The key was that Danzo and Itsuki briefly clashed in the flames. Danzo tried to use the fire as cover to kill Itsuki. But instead, several of his Root members died. Was that the Body Flicker Technique? No! It was almost like… the Yellow Flash!
“Tap, tap, tap!” Footsteps echoed. From the flames, Itsuki walked out slowly. With each step, the fire seemed to make way for him.
Finally, he emerged from the flames, standing before Danzo, smiling.
“Yo!”
Yo, your ass. Danzo’s teeth almost shattered from clenching, “Uchiha Itsuki, you attacked a Konoha high-ranking official, the Hokage’s advisor. Do you want to betray the village?”
“Think whatever you want.” Itsuki stretched, murmuring, “How long has it been since I had a proper exercise? Ah, it feels so good. Life is indeed about movement, the ancients did not lie!”
He turned to leave.
“Itsuki, where are you going?” Fugaku asked instinctively.
“Going home to sleep!”
Going home… to sleep? Danzo was dumbfounded. So was everyone else. The hospital was blown up! Root ninjas were dead! Danzo was injured! You caused all this, and you’re just going home to sleep?
“Uchiha Itsuki!!!” Danzo roared. Itsuki’s indifference made him feel humiliated.
“Shh!” Itsuki turned, smiling at Danzo, making a shushing gesture, “Stop yelling, or I’ll have to kill you.”
Danzo sneered, “Do you want to betray the village?”
“Think whatever you want.” Itsuki repeated casually. Then he turned and left.
