Yes, it’s confirmed. They’re brothers. Not just Uchiha but the entire Konoha only has one pair of Uchihas who lost their eyes at the same time. Looking at these two, Kurenai always feels like laughing. Hurry up and get your eyes back; otherwise, she’ll have to suppress her laughter every time they appear together.

“Hey, Oni-san, you’re here too!” Itsuki said with a grin. “How did Itachi speak nonsense? Do you think what I said is wrong? Point out where and I’ll correct it!”

Shisui ‘glared’ at him. Given the intense battle in the hospital room, how could he not know, living just next door? The Root ninjas underestimated him; they encircled him while setting up the barrier. Shisui didn’t trust Itsuki, so he kept an eye on the other side and immediately rushed in when he noticed the barrier. Watching the fight, he wanted to intervene several times but was shocked by Itsuki’s strength. Comparing their strengths, he realised Itsuki had surpassed him without his notice. At least, facing twelve Root ninjas, Shisui would likely be seriously injured or even killed unless he used Susanoo.

While Shisui was contemplating, the fight ended, and Itsuki said he would sleep. Didn’t he realise how dangerous the situation was? With no other option, Shisui followed him secretly to ensure his safety and overheard Itsuki’s conversation with Itachi. Unlike the bewildered Itachi, Shisui was horrified. Itsuki was shaking their beliefs and even their faith!

“Itsuki, stop talking nonsense. The Hokage has his considerations. We are just lower-level ninjas. We don’t understand the Hokage’s thoughts and don’t need to. Our duty is to follow orders.”

“Wrong!” Itsuki suddenly shouted, startling Shisui. The imposing aura he had gathered vanished.

“Bang!” Itsuki kicked the table, sending it flying. With a serious expression, he clenched his fist and righteously declared, “Konoha is my home; everyone loves and protects it. Protecting Konoha is everyone’s responsibility! The Hokage is everyone’s Hokage, not just for one person or one clan. Don’t narrow your vision to just one clan. We are first and foremost Konoha ninjas. Shisui, hasn’t the Hokage ever said this to you? Do you understand what the Will of Fire is?”

Damn! Shisui was dumbfounded. Suddenly, he remembered something Itsuki had said: Use magic to defeat magic. At that time, he didn’t understand what it meant. Itsuki explained: think of it as using ninjutsu to defeat ninjutsu. He still felt confused back then. But now, he understood. Itsuki used the Hokage’s words to refute him. Didn’t the Hokage say that at seven years old, Itachi could think from the Hokage’s perspective? Doesn’t that mean he recognizes him? All things considered, can you still say Itachi is a lower-level ninja?”

Shisui’s lips trembled, “I… I…”

“So…” Itsuki raised a finger, “Both we and the Will of Fire need Itachi to become Hokage. Whoever stands in the way is betraying Konoha.”

“You… you…”

“Alright, I get it!” Itachi suddenly spoke. “Itsuki-nii, Shisui-nii, I understand now.”

“Good that you understand!” Itsuki said with relief, looking at Itachi. “Remember, once an Uchiha becomes Hokage, all problems will be solved!” In his mind, he added two words: “No way!” An Uchiha becoming Hokage is impossible. Hiruzen Sarutobi would disagree! Danzo Shimura would disagree! Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado wouldn’t agree either. As long as these four disagree, making a Uchiha Hokage would be as difficult as preventing the Uchiha massacre.

The Sarutobi, Shimura, Utatane, and Mitokado clans. Originally small clans, they grew into significant clans under Hiruzen Sarutobi’s leadership. The Sarutobi clan is a top-notch noble family with a private army of three thousand!

What do they eat? What do they drink? What resources do they use to train?

“Yes!” Itachi’s gaze was unwavering. “I want to become the clan leader, the head of the Uchiha!”

“Crack!” Shisui’s jaw dropped. What did Itachi just say? Did he hear wrong? The current head of the Uchiha is Itachi’s father, Fugaku Uchiha. He’s been the leader for a long time. Though his tenure hasn’t seen remarkable achievements, he hasn’t made significant mistakes. Overall, the Uchiha are relatively satisfied with him. The key is that his strength is sufficient! And he’s only forty. To be precise, not even forty yet, just thirty-nine. For a ninja, this is their prime. Leading for another five or six years is a given. And now, Itachi says this? Does he intend to rebel against his father?
