Naruto: This Uchiha is too Evil - Chapter 32
Setsuna was the quickest to respond, remarking, “Danzo learned that Itsuki’s eyes were taken, and it made him uneasy. So, he came.”
“He sacrificed his Root ninjas and offered his own face to make Itsuki happy.”
“He diverted everyone’s attention and bore the village’s dissatisfaction.”
“He paid a large sum of money to us as compensation.”
“He burned himself to illuminate us!”
“And we’re here mocking him, worse than beasts, aren’t we?”
Itsuki’s tone changed, “You even accepted his money? How could you do that? It’s too much.”
Fugaku and Zongyi remained silent, watching the exchange.
Enough is enough!
“I propose!” Itsuki said with a stern face, “We should go together to thank Danzo for his sacrifices.”
“Itsuki, stop messing around!” Fugaku was exasperated.
The initial intention was to calm Itsuki and warn Setsuna. Now, everything had gone sideways. At this rate, Danzo might end up in a grave next.
“I am serious about my decisions!” Itsuki declared, “I swear I will thank Danzo.”
“Spare him already!” Fugaku pleaded.
Itsuki’s statement reminded everyone of past events. They were all terrified.
If a similar incident happened again, Danzo would go all out against Itsuki, and not even the Third Hokage could stop him.
Shisui stepped forward, grabbing Itsuki’s shoulder, “You better not do anything crazy, understood?”
“No way!”
“I’m your brother!”
“Even if you dig up our grandfather, I won’t!”
“I…”
Shisui was almost at his wit’s end. What kind of nonsense is this? And besides, I still need to find out where my grandfather is buried!
“Itsuki!” A stern voice broke the tension. It was Uchiha Zongyi.
He stared intently at Itsuki, “Do you think my approach is wrong?”
“Your way of enduring is your ninja path, but I strongly disagree,” Itsuki shrugged. It’s not just me; the facts prove it, too. After all these years, the clan has made no progress.”
“Of course!” Itsuki smirked, “You can always find a scapegoat, like the Third Hokage found Danzo.”
Setsuna’s face darkened.
Why are you looking at me?
“Right!” Itsuki seemed to have an epiphany, smiling, “The clan, huh? I bet many Uchiha can’t suppress their anger anymore. You three must be having a hard time.”
Fugaku and the others frowned. The Uchiha were indeed furious about the attack on Itsuki. If not for Fugaku and Zongyi’s intervention and Setsuna’s decision to remain passive, who knows what those hot-headed Uchiha might have done?
“Zongyi, I’ve told you before, your method won’t work anymore!” Setsuna sneered, “Even if you and Fugaku suppress it this time, what about the next? Do you think Sarutobi Hiruzen will stop?”
“Not just them, you’re the same!” Itsuki, though blindfolded, exuded a dominant aura.
“You think a coup will save the Uchiha? Are you Uchiha Shisui, so naive?”
Shisui remained silent.
Why drag me into this again?
Setsuna declared, “We only want to reclaim what’s rightfully ours.”
Six people were present: three Uchiha leaders and three of the most promising young Uchiha. Since most of them knew what was at stake, it was better to lay everything out in the open. Meanwhile, Kurenai, being innovative, stayed inside, avoiding the confrontation.
Itsuki laughed, “I can only say your idea is good.”
Setsuna retorted, “We will make the most comprehensive plan to ensure success.”
“So, you considered everything?” Itsuki smirked, “Including the three thousand Sarutobi troops?”
Three thousand Sarutobi troops?
Everyone was stunned.
“What is that?”
“The Sarutobi clan!” Itsuki grinned, “The Sarutobi clan has over three thousand ninja now, known as the Sarutobi troops. Your plan must include them, right?”
Everyone fell silent, processing the information.
“You’re joking, right?”
Shisui erupted, grabbing Itsuki’s shoulder and shaking him violently, his body trembling. Blood seeped through the bandages on his face.
Three thousand Sarutobi ninja—Shisui understood the implications all too well. Feeding and equipping such a large force required immense resources. He refused to believe it.
He couldn’t believe it!
His respected Hokage couldn’t have done such a thing.
Itsuki’s voice wavered from being shaken, “Do you have Parkinson’s, spreading to your whole body? Trying to infect me? You’re despicable.”
Shisui seemed oblivious, “Answer my question, Itsuki!”
“If you keep shaking me, even if you call me Uncle, I won’t tell you.”
“Calm down, Shisui!” Setsuna barked, “We know what kind of person Sarutobi Hiruzen is. We’ve considered the Sarutobi clan’s ninja, but…”
“Three thousand!?” Setsuna frowned at Itsuki, “Are you sure?”
Shisui, still agitated, shouted, “Elder, do you understand what you’re saying? Do you believe this nonsense? Three thousand ninja! Do you know what that means? You…”
“Calm down, Shisui!” Fugaku’s commanding voice was laced with killing intent, freezing Shisui in his tracks.
Fugaku’s icy tone added, “We had our suspicions about the Sarutobi clan, but three thousand…”
His expression was also sceptical.
“Itsuki, are you sure?”
“How would I know!” Itsuki said, bewildered, “I’m not the clan head or an elder. I’m just an ordinary family genius. Though handsome, talented, kind-hearted, and always helpful…”
“Mu-jin!”
Fugaku cut him off. “Mujin and Yuto both trust you. Itsuki, would such a person be just an ordinary family genius?”
Mujin, a young but notable Jonin in the clan, and Yuto, too. Fugaku’s words made Itsuki ponder.
This was his only flaw. Itsuki had been cultivating his power ever since he became a Jonin. Although discreet, a few years were enough for anyone to notice that several Uchiha had made remarkable progress quickly.
During the recent incident with the loss of his Mangekyo Sharingan, Mujin’s sudden emergence magnified this fact, pointing directly to Itsuki.
