Naruto: This Uchiha is too Evil - Chapter 39
Both Kisuke and Minato called out to Itsuki, “Boss?”
“Yes, that’s right!” Itsuki said with a smile. “These two are my shop employees. I pay them fairly, and we don’t engage in shady business.”
Itachi and Shisui were once again rendered speechless. Were they using Jonin as an employees? The Uchiha clan only had around thirty Jonin, and Konoha had just over three hundred. Which shop in Konoha employs Jonin? They were meant for A-rank and even S-rank missions, the village’s elite. Without realizing it, Itsuki had pulled off quite a boast.
“Where is the clan head?” Itsuki asked.
“At home!” Minato replied. “Elder Setsuna is also there. They seem to be discussing something.”
“Oh!” Itsuki nodded. “Since they’re both there, I’ll pay them a visit too.”
“Itsuki bro!” Itachi’s expression tightened upon hearing that Fugaku and Setsuna were together.
“Itachi, you stay here and watch the shop. If any customers come, just ask how they want to be cremated,” Itsuki said, letting slip a bit of his true thoughts. Seeing the others’ speechless faces, he quickly corrected himself, “I’ll go and get your deputy clan leader position settled. Don’t worry, I have it under control. But Itachi, I hope you’ll agree to one thing.”
Itsuki’s expression became serious.
Itachi, slightly tense, said, “What is it?”
“Since you’re determined to change the relationship between the village and the clan, when you become the deputy clan leader, I hope you’ll be impartial,” Itsuki said earnestly, looking at Itachi. “When dealing with people and issues, don’t let preconceived notions cloud your judgment. Treat everything with fairness and justice.”
Itachi smiled slightly, ready to respond, but Itsuki continued.
“For example, your father. He might look fierce and not seem like a good person, but he’s not that bad. So, you mustn’t judge people by their appearance. Otherwise, your father would have been killed multiple times already.”
Shisui rolled his eyes, barely restraining the urge to smack Itsuki. If Itsuki could be serious for three sentences in a row, Shisui would admit defeat.
“What?” Itsuki asked, annoyed. “Did I say something wrong?”
Itachi paused momentarily and said, “I’ll do my best.”
“Good!” Itsuki nodded in satisfaction. Just as he was about to leave, the bell at the door rang.
“Welcome!”
Without turning his head, Itsuki said, “Are you here to cremate a friend or relative, yourself, or an enemy? The price varies depending on the person. We have five levels of service, from commoners to Hokage level, ensuring you receive the treatment of a Hokage and die with a smile. So, would you like to…?”
Itsuki trailed off, seeing Hiruzen Sarutobi’s dark expression. “Would you like to try it yourself?”
Hiruzen’s face twitched as he took a deep breath, trying to keep his voice gentle. “Itsuki, you’re fooling around again, opening a crematorium? If your grandfather Kagami knew, who knows how angry he’d be?”
His words implied, “Can’t you be a normal ninja for a few days?”
“He’d definitely be angry!” Itsuki nodded repeatedly. “He didn’t even have a body left when he died. If he knew his grandson opened a crematorium, he’d be mad he didn’t get to experience it.”
Hiruzen was speechless.
Itsuki looked at Hiruzen and asked, “Hokage-sama, are you here to make a reservation for Danzo? Cremating Danzo would cost me money. No? Then is it for Elder Koharu or Elder Homura? For them, I can only give a discount. Still no? Don’t tell me it’s for yourself? Have you had enough of life?”
Hiruzen said quietly, “Is it possible that I just wanted to see the grandson of an old friend?”
Itsuki quietly responded, “Given the state Shisui and I are in, have you thought about what you’ll say to my grandfather when you meet him?”
Hiruzen looked at Itsuki’s bandaged face and then at Shisui emerging from the back room, falling silent.
“Hokage-sama!” Shisui and Itachi greeted respectfully.
“Mhm,” Hiruzen nodded lightly, feeling a sense of authority only when looking at them. Being Hokage around Itsuki made him feel invisible. Thinking of how Itsuki had tormented Danzo, how could he fare better?
Itsuki’s pranks were far worse than Naruto’s. Naruto’s antics were annoying, but Itsuki’s were deadly. You couldn’t use lethal force on a child for a prank, and Itsuki’s status was sensitive. Recently, Itsuki had fought Danzo, killing over a dozen Root ninjas, which made Hiruzen wary of his strength.
“What are you two doing here?”
Shisui was about to speak, but Itachi spoke first. “Hokage-sama, Itsuki opened this… shop, so we came to check it out.”
His expression was somewhat indescribable.
Hiruzen didn’t doubt him. Itachi’s expression explained a lot. Hearing that Itsuki had opened such a place made Hiruzen’s jaw drop. Have they had the kid been pushed too far? They even called Danzo out of his confinement to discuss it. Danzo had ranted about the evil Uchiha, insisting Itsuki had some scheme.
In the end, Hiruzen decided to come personally. Who knew Itsuki would offer to cremate him as soon as he entered? Even the shrewd Hiruzen nearly lost his composure.
“Sigh!” Hiruzen sighed. “Itsuki, you’re an excellent ninja with the potential to become Hokage. I hope you can focus more, even if it’s for your deceased grandfather, Kagami!”
“Sigh, my grandfather died so tragically, not even a body left,” Itsuki sighed. “If only I had his body for the shop’s grand opening, it would’ve been meaningful.”
“And my grandfather would surely bless my business to flourish, burning across the ninja world!”
Hiruzen was speechless. What a filial grandson!
Itachi also thought, Itsuki bro, you’re putting in much effort for your shop! Your ambition is quite grand.
Shisui felt an urge to hit Itsuki.
While Itsuki lamented being unable to cremate Kagami, Kurenai entered with tea, elegantly serving Hiruzen. Watching Kurenai, Hiruzen’s forehead twitched. She was supposed to be his future daughter-in-law, but Itsuki had snatched her up. The kid moved fast. It was rumored that Itsuki had been staying at Kurenai’s place, meaning their relationship had advanced.
Otherwise, Hiruzen wouldn’t have agreed to their union. Kurenai’s late father had many connections, and Kurenai herself was an outstanding kunoichi destined to become a Jonin. But now, she belonged to Itsuki.
Feeling increasingly heartbroken, Hiruzen drank his tea and left. Itsuki hurried to find Fugaku and Setsuna, pleased they were together so he wouldn’t have to meet them separately. As he approached Fugaku’s home, he saw Setsuna leaving. Without a word, Itsuki dragged Setsuna back inside, then shouted:
“Clan leader, I have news! Your son wants to kill you. Watch your back!”
