Naruto: This Uchiha is too Evil - Chapter 61
The Masked Man stood beside him as a figure emerged from the ground as if breaking out of a cocoon.
Zetsu.
“Obito… no, Tobi, this Uchiha is very strong!”
Zetsu only had half his body out of the ground, the other half still buried. He stared at the departing back of Uchiha Itsuki, his eyes filled with shock.
“Pain was defeated. I never thought such a thing could happen.”
As members of Akatsuki, they understood each other well. As the masterminds behind the scenes, they were even more aware of the power of the Rinnegan. It was a force capable of destroying the world. Nagato sometimes prided himself as a god; they didn’t say it out loud, but they agreed inwardly. Because that power was truly god-like.
And now, the Six Paths of Pain had been taken down by a Uchiha. Unbelievable!
Obito, however, was calm, his eyes indifferent. “Indeed, very strong, but not worth fearing.”
“Oh?”
“The other side knows Nagato well; his information has been leaked.”
Obito’s words were cold. “If you understand Pain’s abilities, you can target and counter them. As a ninja, the most important thing is information.”
Despite saying this, this Uchiha should not be underestimated. At least, Obito himself didn’t have a high chance of winning against Nagato.
Zetsu was surprised, “How could Nagato’s information leak?”
Nagato had taken action only a handful of times, and many of his abilities had never been used. Who could have such detailed information on him?
Obito glanced at him, his voice cold. “You’re asking me? Have you forgotten your duties?”
Zetsu’s expression turned awkward. Right. He was the one most adept at scouting and gathering intelligence.
“I will investigate immediately and gather all the information I can.”
“Mm!”
Obito gave a slight nod, not holding much hope. Uchiha Itsuki was very strong. Moreover, he knew a lot about them. Zetsu’s abilities might have already been compromised. In such a situation, investigating the other party would be difficult!
“Uchiha Itsuki is now a member of Akatsuki. I will find an appropriate opportunity to talk to him. If he agrees to join us, it will greatly benefit our plans.”
Zetsu was curious, “What if he refuses?”
“Then we eliminate him! There are plenty who want him dead.”
After saying this, space distorted around Obito, and he disappeared. Zetsu also slowly sank back into the ground.
At the same time, Itsuki, who was walking with Konan, paused his steps. A strange smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. Very good! Excellent!
…
Under Nagato’s blood-red Rinnegan gaze, Itsuki waved his hand.
“Clang!”
The six scattered Pains were thrown in front of Nagato. All of them were disassembled.
“I accidentally used too much force!”
Itsuki looked apologetically at Nagato. “But, you can just reforge them and bring them back to life.”
“Huff, huff!”
Nagato panted heavily. His once purple eyes were now redder than Itsuki’s Sharingan.
To hell with bringing them back to life. I’m a guy, and besides!
“Konan, step aside!”
Nagato gritted his teeth, his expression ferocious, killing intent spreading wildly.
“Nagato!”
Konan stood in front of Nagato, helplessly saying, “Itsuki is now a member of Akatsuki; he is our comrade.”
“Konan! Have you lost your mind?”
Nagato roared angrily, “Look at him! Look at what he did to me… to Yahiko! Someone like that can never be our comrade.”
Looking at the fragmented Deva Path on the ground, Nagato almost cried. Yahiko! I’m sorry! You got dismantled!
These scattered parts, mixed, were hard to even sort out. Nagato sat among the pieces, trembling with anger. How was he supposed to reassemble this?
All six Pains were controlled by his chakra. The larger or smaller ones were easy to identify. But Yahiko was quite ordinary; several Pains had similar builds. What if he mixed Yahiko’s parts with others? That wouldn’t be Yahiko anymore. My Yahiko would be tainted!
The more Nagato thought, the angrier he got.
Konan continued to stand in front of him, trying to calm him down. Kotoamatsukami’s effects were spreading. Soon, Konan would be completely influenced!
Moreover, on the surface, Itsuki seemed more reliable than the Masked Man. As for Yahiko’s body… Konan was also furious at first. But since it had come to this, they had to accept it. What else could they do?
“I will never accept this! Never!”
Nagato roared, “Someone like him can never be our comrade. Konan, step aside; I will kill him.”
“Enough already!”
Itsuki pouted, bored. “Do you think you can beat me? If it weren’t for Konan, I would have sent you back to the furnace.”
Nagato sneered, “Don’t underestimate me. The Six Paths of Pain are not my full strength.”
“Oh, are you that great? How about we run three kilometres and see who’s faster?”
Nagato’s face darkened instantly, as if water could drip from it. Itsuki was almost blunt: I’m bullying you because you’re crippled. You have Bansho Ten’in and Shinra Tensei, but in a real fight, how many times can you use them? Even if you’re from the Uzumaki clan, I’ll outlast you.
Of course, Nagato had other attack methods—missiles, puppet mechanisms, and more. However his limited mobility was still a major drawback. To a top-tier ninja, this flaw was magnified infinitely. Kite him, and you’re done.
“Nagato!”
Konan’s voice was firm, “Calm down, please.”
“Hmph!”
Nagato snorted heavily, leaving with a pile of parts.
Konan sighed helplessly, looking at Itsuki. “Can’t you… forget it. Do you want to see Orochimaru? His lab isn’t far from here.”
“No need.”
Itsuki shook his head. His relationship with Orochimaru was complicated. Orochimaru appreciated his talent in ninjutsu and later took him as a disciple to spite the Third Hokage. This wasn’t out of goodwill but as a form of revenge. However, Itsuki did learn a lot from Orochimaru, including forbidden jutsu. Orochimaru didn’t hold back in teaching, eager to stuff every forbidden jutsu into Itsuki’s head. So, Itsuki was grateful and respected Orochimaru, but there wasn’t much affection between master and apprentice.
“Alright, we’ll stay in touch.”
Konan gazed quietly at Itsuki. Itsuki spread his arms, “Konan, how about a hug?”
“Get lost!”
Konan threw a word over her shoulder as she walked away. Midway, she turned back, “Be careful in Konoha. Danzo is dangerous.”
“Trust me, in Konoha, the person Danzo fears most is me!”
Itsuki smiled oddly. Kotoamatsukami was truly useful. His eyes shone with the Mangekyo Sharingan. The ouroboros within seemed to move. As his chakra dispersed, a new Itsuki appeared in front of his original body. The Mangekyo ability: Time-Space Clone!
“I’ll leave this to you,” the original said to the clone.
“No problem!” The clone gave a thumbs up, flashing a bright smile. His teeth sparkled. “Ding!”
