Naruto: This Uchiha is too Evil - Chapter 64
Right after his angry outburst, Itsuki noticed the ANBU member and narrowed his eyes dangerously, “Root member?”
“No, no!” the ANBU’s voice was peculiar, “I’m from the ANBU.”
“You two cousins, still distinguishing between each other?”
“Of course, we are. We are miles apart in our relationship!”
If we don’t distinguish, you’ll send me off. Do you think I don’t know that Root and Uchiha are almost at each other’s throats?
The ANBU showed a remarkable will to survive. No emotions? Go to hell with that.
Itsuki suspiciously eyed him, “Why does your voice sound off?”
“…I got winded just now!”
The ANBU’s words carried profound helplessness. The atmosphere was taut to the limit, and someone jumped out of a coffin. It’s good enough he didn’t see the Second Hokage.
But just now, he didn’t know where that breath went.
“What does the ANBU want with me?”
Itsuki didn’t strike immediately. This one had no killing intent. Itsuki indeed rigged the crematorium. If anyone entered with murderous intent, Itsuki would make sure they learned why the flowers were so red!
Moreover, the two represent different things. One represents Danzo; the other represents the Third Hokage.
“The Hokage has something to discuss with you!”
“What is it?”
The ANBU was more speechless. How would I know? I’m just a regular messenger, not the squad leader.
“Geez, you’re useless!” Itsuki didn’t mind, waved his hand, and said, “I get it, I’ll go soon!”
“Yes!” The ANBU replied and quickly left the crematorium, needing a quiet place to find where that breath went. It felt like, that breath would send him away if not handled well.
As soon as he left, Shisui came in.
“Oh, isn’t it Shisui of the Body Flicker? What brings you to my humble abode?”
Itsuki teased.
“Enough! I have serious matters!” Shisui’s face was heavy, “Itsuki, the Hokage just called me.”
“Oh! What did he want? To have you kill me?”
Shisui replied angrily, “Stop joking. He gave me a pair of Sharingan, and said it was taken from Danzo.”
“Oh!” Itsuki stretched out his hand, “Let me see.”
Shisui handed over a glass container with a pair of three-tomoe Sharingan inside. Itsuki revealed his three-tomoe Sharingan and looked at the pair, immediately noticing their extraordinary nature. Just like how there are strengths and weaknesses among Jonin, there are levels within three-tomoe Sharingan as well. This pair was very close to Mangekyo.
“Come with me!” Itsuki led Shisui into the inner room of the crematorium, took out a scroll, and unrolled it, revealing various instruments. He had studied under Orochimaru, the most outstanding scientist in the shinobi world. Itsuki understood bottles and jars well enough. He believed the Third Hokage understood this point, too. The truth proved him right.
These were Kagami’s eyes! Uchiha Kagami! The Third Hokage didn’t give him a fake. Itsuki’s lips curled into a cold smile. Kagami’s death was indeed related to Danzo. Or it was related to the Third Hokage. Excellent, the hatred value just doubled!
Shisui sensed Itsuki’s intent on killing and couldn’t help but call out, “Itsuki! What’s wrong? Whose eyes are these?”
Itsuki said flatly, “Kagami’s eyes.”
Shisui was initially stunned, then exclaimed, “Kagami? Grandpa?!”
“Yes,” Itsuki said calmly, “These will become your eyes.” He looked to the side, where there was another glass container with a pair of dark, lifeless Sharingan. Those were Itsuki’s eyes! His former four-tomoe!
Itsuki had once considered exploiting a bug. He would transplant Shisui’s eyes, and Shisui would transplant his. Wouldn’t that make two pairs of Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan? The result was a failure. After he successfully transplanted them, his original eyes went completely dark and could no longer be used.
Itsuki even thought about them swapping one eye each. But now it seemed better not to try. Otherwise, they’d end up as two one-eyed dragons. Shisui had used Susanoo with a single eye, but the difference between ordinary Mangekyo and Eternal Mangekyo was a qualitative leap. If neither could activate it, the whole plan would go to hell!
What would become of the Uchiha clan? Would they be swept away by the storyline, becoming mere expendables? Who knows? Better to play it safe!
“Me? Transplant Grandpa’s eyes?” Shisui hesitated.
Itsuki said calmly, “Grandpa’s bloodline is linked to ours. His eyes are undoubtedly most suitable for you. With them, you might awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan again.”
“I’m not concerned about that!” Shisui suddenly roared quietly, “Why? Why were Grandpa’s eyes with Danzo?”
Itsuki calmly replied, “Maybe he entrusted them to Danzo before he died. You know, their relationship was as close as one person. Danzo happened to need an eye, and Grandpa generously gave him one!”
“Do you think I’m a child?”
“You overestimate yourself!” Itsuki didn’t even look at Shisui, saying casually, “You’re not even as good as a child.”
Shisui: “…”
Silence! The already quiet crematorium became even more peaceful. Ultimately, Shisui broke the silence.
“Itsuki, do you look down on me?”
Itsuki exaggeratedly exclaimed, “How could I? You’re my beloved older brother!”
Shisui sighed, “Could your words be any less sincere?”
“Whether I dare or not is a profound question, haha!” Itsuki couldn’t help but laugh, “Alright, stop overthinking. Get the transplant done, then you can do whatever you want.”
Shisui paused, “Itsuki, I’ll prove it to you.”
Itsuki blinked, saying nothing. What’s going on? Did Grandpa Kagami’s eyes stimulate Shisui? Was it necessary?
“You want to prove that at seven years old, you can think like the Hokage?”
“Itsuki!!!”
“Alright, alright, Shisui!”
“What?”
“Sometimes, being a bit naive isn’t a bad thing. Many things don’t need to be delved into deeply. Because you don’t know what the end point is.”
Itsuki had already taken away Kotoamatsukami so Shisui wouldn’t be deliberately targeted. After transplanting Kagami’s eyes, Shisui’s strength wouldn’t decrease much; at least he’d be Kage-level. No matter who he faced, this strength would be sufficient for self-protection. That was Itsuki’s purpose, his maximum protection for his older brother.
However, he seemed to have forgotten that in the original story, it was precisely Danzo’s betrayal that led Shisui to despair and eventually take his own life.
“Haha!” Shisui laughed bitterly, “You are the younger brother!”
“Can’t help it!” Itsuki sighed, “Who let the older brother be so unreliable, even losing his eyes.”
“…Thank you!”
