Chapter 101: Preparations For Sarutobi Hiruzen

Upon learning of the failed second attack, Danzo began transferring the clan and important information. After completing all the preparations, he hurried to the Sarutobi residence without delay.

“Hiruzen, what are you doing?”
Looking at Sarutobi Hiruzen sitting calmly in the gazebo, Danzo had many questions.
“Is the evacuation complete?”
Sarutobi Hiruzen looked up at him and spoke calmly. Danzo sat down, waiting for an explanation.
“Don’t worry, I have a plan for dealing with Chiba.”
As if sensing Danzo’s anxiety, Sarutobi Hiruzen reassured him.
“Protection?” Danzo sneered.
“You claimed that the two assassination attempts were flawless strategies, but they both failed.”
“This time, I will take care of it personally.”
Sarutobi Hiruzen’s expression turned serious, and his tone became solemn. Danzo didn’t believe it. It’s not that he doubted Hiruzen’s ability to take action, but he doubted that Chiba could be killed.
“Then let me ask you, how do you counter Chiba’s ability to make people lose control?” Danzo inquired.
“I cut a hole in my trousers,” Hiruzen replied.
Hearing Hiruzen’s answer, Danzo was dumbfounded. Holes in his pants? Crotch pants? But how does that help?
“Do you think wearing crotch pants can stop diarrhea?” Danzo asked incredulously.
“I skipped lunch,” Hiruzen responded casually.
To be honest, Danzo didn’t know what to say. If Chiba’s ability could be countered so easily, he wouldn’t believe it even if he were to be killed.
“Hiruzen, don’t tell me you’ve been fooled by the First Hokage,” Danzo questioned.
“Think about it, the Third Kazekage rushed to the front lines, did he eat? But he still experienced diarrhea.”
Danzo kept questioning, wondering if Hiruzen had lost his mind. Mocked by Danzo, Sarutobi Hiruzen remained unfazed. He slowly opened his mouth and uttered two words.
“It’s an illusion!” Danzo froze.
After a moment of contemplation, Danzo nodded.
“Anything else?”
“One hundred thousand exploding tags!”
Sarutobi Hiruzen’s eyes gleamed as he revealed the second method. One hundred thousand exploding tags. That number was enough to kill Chiba hundreds of times over.
However, when Danzo heard the number, he was shocked. Detonate 100,000 exploding tags in the village? Wouldn’t that destroy the entire village? How is this plan supposed to kill Chiba? It would obliterate the whole village!
“The village will be spared?”
“No, I will arrange them outside the village and wait for him there.”
“That’s not bad.” Danzo breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, it wouldn’t take place within the village. Otherwise, it would have caused a major problem.
“Then how many people will accompany you?”
“Just me.”
“What? Only yourself? Are you insane?”
Hearing that Hiruzen intended to go alone, Danzo almost jumped up. As the Hokage, he planned to go alone.

However, Danzo disagreed.
“Why? If you don’t explain clearly, I will send Gen Mo to accompany you.”
Under pressure from Danzo, Sarutobi Hiruzen chuckled. He realized that, despite being the esteemed Hokage, only Danzo truly trusted him.
“The Aburame clan, the Hyuga clan, and even the Uchiha clan are aware of Chiba’s ability to create gold,” Sarutobi Hiruzen explained with a grave tone. “Furthermore, I suspect that these three clans have leaked this information to other clans.”
Danzo understood.
No wonder Hiruzen had to go alone.
If he brought subordinates, there would be no guarantee that the information wouldn’t be leaked to other clans. In that case, once a clan informed Chiba, they would be defeated.

“I can’t come back carrying a bag of dung in my pants, can I?” Sarutobi Hiruzen’s tone was relaxed as if he had already determined that he would win this battle.
Danzo still looked worried. He was concerned that Hiruzen might return as a lifeless corpse. Others would see a lifeless body wearing crotch pants.

Approaching Danzo, Sarutobi Hiruzen patted him on the shoulder and gave him a reassuring look.
“Remember, I am the strongest Hokage of all time!”
Saying this, Sarutobi Hiruzen exuded an invincible aura. Danzo remained silent. He watched Hiruzen’s back and wanted to offer a reminder, but Hiruzen had already walked away.
