Chapter 114: Spraying Feces
Danzo felt he had done everything in his power.
He had deployed all his tactics and reasoning, yet he could only delay Hanzo for a day. What was supposed to be a diplomatic meeting turned sour when Hanzo’s vigilance proved impenetrable.
Gradually, Hanzo caught on to Danzo’s intentions, realizing that Danzo’s visit was likely an attempt to stall him.
And so, Danzo’s ordeal began.
“Danzo, come along!”
Hanzo’s voice cut through the air under his special mask, as he effortlessly hoisted Danzo, as though he were handling a mere chick.
Danzo struggled futilely, limbs flailing in mid-air, but he couldn’t break free from Hanzo’s grasp.
“This is humiliating! I’ll make you pay twice over for this indignity in the future,” Danzo seethed, his voice tinged with bitterness.
Why was Hanzo so arrogant and unreasonable? Danzo pondered, his frustration mounting.
Without delay, Hanzo led the Rain Shinobi troops forward. Meanwhile, Danzo trailed behind, now reduced to a prisoner, hands bound and mouth gagged.
“Pick up the pace!”
A Rain Shinobi urged, delivering a kick to Danzo’s side.
Thud!
Danzo tumbled to the ground, tasting the bitterness of defeat.
The esteemed Hokage’s assistant, reduced to such humiliation! Anger, resentment, and cold determination brewed within Danzo’s heart, hidden yet palpable.
He had to endure. He had to hold on until Hokage Chiba arrived, heralding a turning point in his fortunes.
“Must wait for him!” Danzo’s voice rose in a desperate plea.
Silently, he rose to his feet, pressing on despite the taunts, kicks, and jeers from the Rain Shinobi.
For the sake of Konoha!
With unwavering resolve, Danzo finally reached the border.
“Hasn’t he arrived yet?”
Scanning the horizon, Danzo’s eyes searched in vain for the figure he anticipated. Instead, he witnessed the brutal slaughter of the few Konoha defenders by the Rain Shinobi.
Step by step, Hanzo approached, a smirk playing across his lips.
“Danzo, it seems you managed to delay me for a day, but you inadvertently helped me,” Hanzo remarked, his tone laced with triumph.
Danzo remained silent, his gaze unwavering.
“One day has passed, and Konoha Village still hasn’t sent ninja troops to the border. Does this mean they’re preoccupied with the Mist Ninja?” Hanzo’s voice carried a mocking tone.
Despite his special mask, Hanzo’s laughter echoed loudly, a stark reminder of his victory.
Konoha’s forces were tied up at the Uzumaki Village, leaving Hanzo free to dispatch Rain Shinobi into the Land of Fire without opposition.
In the field, Danzo remained composed, his demeanor unwavering.
“Hanzo, are you not concerned about the consequences for the Rain Shinobi Village?” Danzo countered.
Hanzo’s laughter rang out once more, his confidence unshakeable.
“And do you truly believe your Fourth Hokage still lives?” Hanzo taunted, his words laced with derision.
Suddenly, a series of thuds echoed through the air, Rain Shinobi falling to the ground, their chests pierced by unseen forces.
The sight sent a chill down Hanzo’s spine as he beheld a figure hovering in the air—a young man donning Hokage attire.
“F-fourth Hokage?”
Hanzo stammered, his expression a mix of shock and fear.
In stark contrast, Danzo’s eyes sparkled with hope and admiration as he gazed at Chiba, his savior.
“Danzo, you’ve done well!” Chiba’s voice resounded, reaching Danzo’s ears.
With a flick of his wrist, Chiba activated his ability—Reincarnation of Grains—targeting Hanzo’s mouth.
Before Hanzo could react, he found himself choking on a torrent of excrement, his mouth covered by his mask.
The humiliating spectacle unfolded before Danzo’s eyes—a powerful reminder of Chiba’s newfound abilities.
Danzo watched, stunned, as Chiba unleashed a barrage of dung balls, decimating the Rain Shinobi ranks.
“I’ve incapacitated him for you, Danzo,” Chiba announced calmly, his voice cutting through the chaos.
As Danzo descended to the ground, his heart swelled with a sense of triumph and vindication.
Then, with resolve burning in his eyes, he adorned himself with his masks.
“Hanzo, your reckoning is here,” Danzo declared, his voice ringing with conviction.
