Hyuga Kyo stood with one hand on his hip, imitating Orochimaru’s mannerisms, and chuckled, “Being praised by someone as weak as you doesn’t bring me any joy.”
Hearing this, Guy, who was lying on the ground, immediately lowered his head.
Seeing Guy’s dejection, Hyuga Kyo thought to himself, “Uh, did I overdo the act?”
Just as Hyuga Kyo was about to indirectly comfort Guy, Guy suddenly lifted his head, his dejection gone, and shouted, “I am Konoha’s proud Blue Beast, and one day, I will catch up to you!”
“Looks like I was worried for nothing,” Hyuga Kyo thought with a silent laugh. He then said, “Hey, that wasn’t your full strength, was it?”
Guy immediately jumped up, “Of course not! I have a special move!”
Hyuga Kyo, hiding his slightly swollen and numb arms behind his back, said disdainfully, “A special move, huh? Then show it to me.”
After a moment of hesitation, Guy shook his head.
Hyuga Kyo was trying to force Guy to use the Eight Gates Released Formation, so he deliberately provoked him, “Why not? Do you look down on me?”
Guy quickly waved his hands and explained, “My father said that this is a forbidden technique that should never be used against comrades!”
“Although your father is a respectable ninja, I don’t think any of your forbidden techniques can harm me,” Hyuga Kyo paused before continuing, “You don’t seem to understand the gap between us. You don’t have the right to hold back against me.”
Guy was still hesitant, “But… but this is really a powerful forbidden technique. I haven’t fully mastered it yet!”
Hyuga Kyo took a step forward, exuding a commanding presence, “Is it your talent that surpasses mine? Or your lineage? If you don’t give it your all, what makes you think you can beat me?”
“I… I…”
Seeing Guy stammer, Hyuga Kyo pressed further, “Or maybe you’ve never thought about defeating me. If that’s the case, you can leave. I have no interest in sparring with someone weak at heart!”
The guy was stunned as if struck by lightning. Slowly, he clenched his fists.
“Interesting…” Hyuga Kyo observed that Guy’s demeanor had changed.
Guy then looked at Hyuga Kyo and shouted, “Kyo, you’re right. When sparring with a talented heir like you, I should give it my all. Only then can I live up to my youth!”
Hyuga Kyo was puzzled, thinking, “Talented heir? When did I become a talent? Did my act really work that well, making him think I’m a genius?”
While Hyuga Kyo was still in doubt, Guy’s aura suddenly surged!
“First Gate, Gate of Opening, open!”
A flow of energy surrounded Guy.
“Second Gate, Gate of Healing, open!”
The energy flow turned into a turbulent stream.
“Third Gate, Gate of Life, open!”
Chakra began to emanate visibly from Guy’s body.
Hyuga Kyo’s face remained stoic, but internally he was shocked, “Whoa, he’s really going all out! That’s enough, any more and it’ll be dangerous!”
Guy, of course, couldn’t hear Hyuga Kyo’s thoughts and showed no signs of stopping.
“Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain, open!”
The chakra enveloping Guy grew denser, forming a tangible wave of energy around him, akin to a tailed beast’s chakra cloak.
Maybe Guy could only open up to the fourth gate at the moment, or perhaps he knew this was just a sparring match among comrades. So, he stopped after opening the Gate of Pain.
“Kyo, here I come!”
Without waiting for a response, Guy transformed into a green flash, circling Hyuga Kyo as if searching for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Tracking Guy’s movements, Hyuga Kyo’s Tenseigan rapidly shifted within their sockets.
While the Tenseigan could easily keep up with Guy’s movements, it didn’t mean Hyuga Kyo could match his speed.
With a sinking heart, Hyuga Kyo thought, “Damn, he’s too fast!”
Hyuga Kyo’s experience in taijutsu combat was still at the Chunin level. Despite his private practice after obtaining the Tenseigan, he lacked real combat experience beyond the Chunin level. So, as Guy opened the Gate of Pain, elevating the battle to Jonin level, Hyuga Kyo quickly sensed that his body was struggling to keep up.
Watching Guy continue to circle him at high speed, searching for an opening, Hyuga Kyo anxiously contemplated his options.
Granted, without using the Revolving Heaven or the Third Kazekage puppet, Hyuga Kyo couldn’t reach Jonin level. However, his chakra reserves now exceeded that of an ordinary Jonin, which was his advantage. So, he quickly decided not to compete in techniques or speed but to rely on chakra consumption.
He had to win this fight!
Even if he had to fake it, he had to win!
After obtaining the Tenseigan, he couldn’t allow himself to have any defeats in the village, not even in a simple sparring match!
Suddenly, Guy made his move.

Hyuga Kyo’s expression became serious, and he immediately reacted.

As the sound of rapid steps grew more intense, Guy struck again. This time, he used the Leaf Whirlwind from above, creating a windstorm that swept through the entire forest before his figure even reached.
