Naruto World Through Tenseigan - Chapter 64
After Kakashi lost consciousness, Hyuga Kyo effectively took over as the leader of Team 11. Gai, without further delay, carried the unconscious Kakashi and began breaking out of the valley.
Several squads of Kumogakure ninjas quickly split off to pursue them.
At this moment, the leading Kumogakure elite Jonin glanced at Hyuga Kyo and Shisui, who were standing their ground, and suddenly smiled. “Such outstanding young talents!”
Hyuga Kyo coldly replied, “Thanks for the compliment.”
“My name is Furukado, and I am the commander of this garrison.” Furukado paused before continuing, “I admire your skills, but unfortunately, you’ll all die here today, including those two who tried to escape.”
Hyuga Kyo didn’t respond verbally but instead scanned the surroundings, his expression dark.
Even excluding the teams that had just pursued Gai, over a hundred Kumogakure ninjas surrounded him and Shisui. Among them, more than ten had chakra levels equivalent to Jonin.
Moreover, the signal for the warehouse attack had already been sent out by the Kumogakure ninjas. Reinforcements from all directions were likely on their way.
Seeing Hyuga Kyo and Shisui in such a desperate situation without giving up hope, Furukado, while admiring their resolve, chuckled. “Taking down such excellent Konoha talents might just save me from the Raikage’s wrath for failing my duty.”
Hyuga Kyo silently observed Furukado, waiting for the right moment.
As his strength steadily increased, the maximum range of his Rotational Push and Pull (Rinnegan technique) expanded to about 22 meters. By overexerting his chakra, he could further extend it to 25 meters.
Furukado was currently about 21 meters away from Hyuga Kyo, within the effective range of his Rotational Push and Pull.
However, considering Furukado’s status as an elite Jonin of Kumogakure, his strength was undoubtedly formidable. To ensure success, it was best to close the distance to around 15 meters.
While mentally calculating the distances, Hyuga Kyo retrieved a vial of poison from his pouch.
In the previous battle, most of the paralyzing poison on Grass S-Maru had been used up, so he needed to reapply it to maintain the blade’s potency.
Having rushed over earlier, he had forgotten to do this, leaving him no choice but to hurriedly reapply the poison in front of the enemies.
Seeing Hyuga Kyo reapplying poison to his short sword in plain view, the Kumogakure ninjas had varied expressions.
Furukado slightly furrowed his brows, thinking to himself, “Where is Kurapa?”
The Kumogakure ninjas hadn’t attacked immediately because they were waiting for their interrogation ninja, Kurapa. In Furukado’s eyes, Hyuga Kyo and the others were already dead.
However, he wanted to extract as much information from them as possible before they died. Since Kumogakure hadn’t yet developed a technique to extract information from corpses’ brains, they needed Kurapa to arrive first. Even if they severely injured Hyuga Kyo and Shisui, Kurapa could still interrogate them on the spot.
Noticing the unusual behavior of the Kumogakure ninjas, Shisui whispered to Hyuga Kyo, “Senpai, something seems off. It’s like they’re waiting for something.”
Hyuga Kyo had also sensed this and knew he couldn’t delay any longer. “When I start, activate your Susanoo immediately.”
Shisui didn’t ask why; he just nodded seriously.
After instructing Shisui, Hyuga Kyo slowly walked toward Furukado.
Furukado’s face tensed, and he quickly ordered his men, “No need to wait. Attack!”
Before he finished speaking, Furukado suddenly felt an immense, indescribable pulling force drawing him towards Hyuga Kyo. Not just him, but everyone within a 21-meter radius, including Shisui, was being pulled toward Hyuga Kyo.
At this moment, with Grass S-Maru in hand, Hyuga Kyo shouted, “Rotational Heaven Sword Technique!”
The ‘Rotational Heaven Sword Technique’ was an improvised idea Hyuga Kyo came up with after acquiring Grass S-Maru.
In his concept, he would use Rotational Push and Pull to draw all nearby enemies towards him, then wield Grass S-Maru while forcefully using the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven technique.
The sword blade would serve as the attack while Revolving Heaven would provide defense, achieving a combination of offense and defense.
Although this idea hadn’t been practiced, he had no choice but to try it in this life-or-death situation.
The immense pulling force from Rotational Push and Pull drew everyone, including Furukado and Shisui, to Hyuga Kyo. Shisui, despite having seen the technique before, was shocked to experience it firsthand.
Even though Shisui had seen Hyuga Kyo use Rotational Push and Pull before, experiencing it personally was a different matter.
However, Hyuga Kyo’s prior instructions prevented Shisui from panicking. He promptly activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and summoned his Susanoo.
The sound of the sword cutting through the air was timely.
All the ninjas pulled towards Hyuga Kyo were struck by Grass S-Maru to varying degrees. Apart from Shisui, who was protected by Susanoo, everyone else was hit.
After stopping the Rotational Heaven Sword Technique, Hyuga Kyo, panting, assessed the outcome.
Using Rotational Push and Pull on such a large scale and with such intensity had drained his already limited chakra. He needed to ensure that Furukado, the Kumogakure commander, had been hit by Grass S-Maru.
However, to his dismay, the Jonin-level ninjas struck by his sword turned into flashes of lightning and dissipated with a ‘poof.’
“Lightning Clones!?”
Hyuga Kyo was stunned.
Advanced clone techniques could deceive even dojutsu users. Hyuga Kyo remembered how Kakashi had used a Lightning Clone to fool Pain, who possessed the Rinnegan.
But experiencing it himself in such a dire situation was a bitter pill to swallow.
Hyuga Kyo had faintly sensed that Furukado seemed off, but having never encountered a Lightning Clone, he couldn’t identify it as such. Thus, he didn’t realize that all the Jonin, including Furukado, were merely Lightning Clones.
At this point, Furukado and several other Jonin emerged from the shadows, having lost their clones.
Furukado, glancing with interest at Shisui’s Susanoo, smiled. “Heh, it seems I underestimated you. Ninjas sent on a suicide mission like this certainly have some tricks up their sleeves.”
