Naruto's Strongest Force - Chapter 106
In the Hidden Sound Village, under the intense daily battles, Natsuki’s control over his abilities had grown significantly. His experience and combat skills had improved remarkably, and he had finally developed his combat system.
Dream Space
“Itachi used the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique.”
Fireballs shot from Itachi’s mouth, igniting the shurikens he threw. The flaming shurikens scattered like flowers in the wind, landing on the ground and leaving holes wherever they struck.
Natsuki dodged with ease, moving fluidly from side to side. With a quick motion, he drew the Kusanagi sword.
Clang! Clang clang!
He deflected Itachi’s shurikens, and the two engaged in close combat. Itachi wielded a kunai in his left hand and a longsword in his right, moving with effortless grace.
Itachi spun, attempting to thrust his kunai at Natsuki’s head, but Natsuki parried with his Kusanagi sword. Itachi flipped backwards, slashing down with his longsword.
Natsuki formed a single-handed seal with his free left hand.
“Water Style: Water Wall!”
Boom! A massive surge of water erupted from the ground, deflecting Itachi’s weapon and obscuring his vision.
Before the water dissipated, Natsuki thrust his Kusanagi through the wall, aiming at Itachi’s side.
Susanoo!
A crimson skeletal structure formed around Itachi’s body.
Clang! The Kusanagi sword clanged against the Susanoo, and Natsuki smiled.
“Finally made you use your Susanoo,” Natsuki said with satisfaction.
Itachi retracted his Susanoo after blocking the attack. Taking advantage of Natsuki’s brief moment of relaxation, Itachi raised his head, his Mangekyo Sharingan spinning rapidly.
“Tsukuyomi!”
A surge of powerful chakra invaded Natsuki’s mind. However, Natsuki barely flinched. His own Mangekyo rotated, countering the Tsukuyomi effortlessly. Natsuki’s chakra was far superior to Itachi’s, rendering the illusion ineffective.
In the dream space, Itachi had no emotions or memories. With his Tsukuyomi failing, Itachi’s expression remained unchanged as he quickly performed hand seals at an almost invisible speed.
“Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!”
A giant fireball erupted from Itachi’s mouth, growing massive as it surged toward Natsuki.
Natsuki used a body flicker to dodge to the left.
Swish, swish, swish!
Shurikens flew out, clashing midair, making it impossible to predict where they would land.
Natsuki swung his Kusanagi, his Sharingan spinning to track each shuriken.
Clang, clang, clang!
He deflected each kunai with precision. While his right hand swung the sword, his left hand performed a one-handed seal simultaneously, using the Dual Focus technique.
“Water Style: Water Severing Wave!”
A high-pressure stream of water shot from Natsuki’s mouth, slicing toward Itachi with terrifying speed.
Swoosh! The water wave cut through Itachi’s body.
But instead of blood, Itachi’s body crumbled into a flock of crows.
“Substitution with crows?” Natsuki thought as Itachi disappeared from view.
Natsuki narrowed his eyes, his Mangekyo Sharingan spinning wildly.
“Susanoo Otsutsuki Eye!”
His gaze darted around, and in an instant, he locked onto one of the crows.
Body Flicker!
Natsuki rushed forward, his Kusanagi aimed straight at the crow.
Boom!
The crow transformed back into Itachi’s body.
Susanoo!
Clang! The Kusanagi was blocked once again by the crimson Susanoo.
Before Natsuki could pull his sword back, Itachi’s right eye flickered.
“Amaterasu!”
Black flames ignited around Natsuki.
“Susanoo!”
A golden Susanoo emerged from Natsuki, protecting him from the black flames as he slipped from their grasp.
“Tch, I was hoping to defeat Itachi without using Susanoo,” Natsuki muttered.
There was no avoiding Amaterasu. The flames ignited wherever Itachi focused his gaze, which explained why Itachi’s fight against Sasuke had seemed so drawn out.
With Amaterasu neutralised, Itachi paused for a moment, his exhaustion showing. Then, his Susanoo materialised fully.
In this dream space, Itachi’s abilities were closely tied to his real-world condition. Due to Orochimaru’s suppressive medication, Itachi’s crimson Susanoo had only reached its second stage, with no armour.
From the hand of Itachi’s Susanoo, the glowing red beads of the Yasaka Magatama were released, flying toward Natsuki at incredible speed.
Natsuki sidestepped, but his left sleeve was shredded, and his shoulder bled profusely.
He bit his left arm, activating his healing abilities, and the wound quickly began to close.
Itachi’s Susanoo reached out with its hand to grab Natsuki, but Natsuki shook his head.
“Susanoo!”
His golden Susanoo manifested instantly.
Boom!
The two Susanoo collided fiercely.
Natsuki’s golden Susanoo, now in its fleshy form, matched Itachi’s as they clashed.
As the Susanoo engaged, Natsuki formed a seal.
“Water Style: Water Severing Wave!”
Shhht!
Powered by his immense chakra, the high-pressure water sliced through Itachi’s Susanoo, leaving a deep gash. Itachi barely dodged the waterblade.
Natsuki’s Susanoo charged forward, slamming into Itachi’s with a powerful blow.
Itachi disengaged his Susanoo, narrowly avoiding Natsuki’s attack. But as Itachi reappeared, Natsuki reached out from his Susanoo, his left hand glowing with sealing techniques.
The sealing jutsu spread across Itachi’s body, temporarily locking his chakra.
Natsuki dispelled his Susanoo, drawing his Kusanagi as he closed in.
Although the seal wouldn’t last long, it was enough for Natsuki to win. He parried Itachi’s attacks, grabbed and slammed him into the ground, pinning him with the Kusanagi.
As Natsuki opened his eyes, he exhaled deeply.
The recent training refined his combat system, allowing him to defeat Itachi without relying solely on his Sharingan or Susanoo.
Natsuki had grown much more familiar with his newly acquired talents, and the most powerful by far was the Dual Focus ability from Sakon and Ukon.
Now, he could perform hand seals and jutsu while in close combat and use one hand for his Kusanagi and the other for sealing jutsu. This allowed him to seal summons during close-range encounters quickly.
Even while using Susanoo, Natsuki could supplement his attacks with Tobirama’s Water Severing Wave.
The Water Severing Wave was fast and had excellent cutting power, making it extremely effective in mid-range combat.
Additionally, Karin’s healing abilities had become invaluable. Natsuki could now maintain peak performance throughout a battle, healing his injuries almost instantly. It was as if he had become a perpetual motion machine.
As his combat system became more refined, Natsuki’s battles grew less reliant on brute force and more strategic.
With time, three months had passed in the blink of an eye…
