“What’s the meaning of this, Nakamura Kazuya?!” Hy?ga Y?jin shouted angrily. His sister had been peeped on, and as a member of the Police Force, he had let the perpetrator escape. It was a great humiliation!
The person before him was Nakamura Kazuya, whom Danzo had once tried to place in the Police Force to seize power. However, Uchiha Fugaku had only assigned them to patrol duties, and even when Hy?ga Hiashi took over, he didn’t give them any absolute authority.
They were kept in patrol positions and unable to do much, and Danzo often reprimanded them. Now, causing trouble for the Hy?ga clan was something Nakamura found enjoyable.
“Hy?ga Y?jin, this is our Root patrol area now! Anything happening here is under our jurisdiction!”
“The Root division has been disbanded by Lord Hokage! What are you talking about, ‘Root’?” Hy?ga Y?jin retorted.
The three Root members, hearing this, surrounded him with cold expressions.
Hy?ga Y?jin glared. “You let the peeping tom escape on purpose! I’ll report you to Lord Hizashi!”
Nakamura Kazuya sneered, “Go ahead, report all you want. Do you even know who you were chasing?”
Hy?ga Y?jin frowned. “No one should be a peeping tom!”
Nakamura Kazuya laughed heartily. “That man is one of the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya! What do you think your Hy?ga clan can do about him?”
Hy?ga Y?jin was stunned and full of disbelief. “What did you say? That was Lord Jiraiya!”
His worldview shattered. He had only known Jiraiya as a hero of Konoha, one of the legendary Sannin. He had no idea Jiraiya’s conduct was so deplorable that he was a peeping tom!
Nakamura Kazuya and his companions laughed, enjoying Hy?ga’s discomfiture.
The Hy?ga members were furious but dared not speak out. Even Hy?ga Aiko had to swallow her anger.
At that moment, a figure appeared behind Nakamura Kazuya, kicking him off the roof. Grabbing the remaining two Root members, he slammed their heads together.
With a cold look at the last Root member, the person also knocked him out.
“Law enforcement falls under the Police Force’s jurisdiction. Anyone who commits a crime is treated equally.”
Yamaki glared at Nakamura Kazuya. “As for you, your position is over. Root has been disbanded by Lord Hokage, yet you act so arrogantly.”
“It’s Lord Yamaki!” The Hy?ga group was delighted. Uchiha Yamaki was fearless.
Nakamura Kazuya rolled on the ground, coughing up blood. “Uchiha Yamaki, you’re not even part of the Police Force! This isn’t your business!”
Yamaki chuckled. “I anticipated this, so I got this.”
He produced a scroll, unrolling it to reveal clear writing: “Appointing Uchiha Yamaki as Patrol Captain of the Police Force.”
Nakamura Kazuya panted heavily. “Even as Patrol Captain, you can’t do anything. The other party is one of the Sannin, Jiraiya.”
The Hy?ga members felt disheartened and angry. It was true; how could they fight Jiraiya?
Yamaki grinned. “I specialize in dealing with defiance. Let’s see.”
He gestured to Hy?ga Y?jin and the others. “Which way did Jiraiya go?”
The Hy?ga members were taken aback. Yamaki was fearless. Could it be!?
If it was Uchiha Yamaki…
They quickly responded, “Jiraiya went that way.”
They pointed, and Yamaki saw that it was another hot spring inn.
“The scoundrel can’t change his ways, can he? Even while escaping, he picks the next peeping spot.”
“Alright, I got it. Do you want to follow or return to your area?”
Hy?ga Aiko and Y?jin exchanged glances. “Lord, we want to follow.”
Yamaki nodded, dismissing the other Hy?ga members to resume their duties.
He took Aiko and Y?jin along, seemingly knowing the destination.
The Hy?ga siblings were puzzled but followed without question.
Within minutes, Yamaki stopped, spotting a perverted white-haired man peeking through a wall at the women’s bathhouse.
“Ah… hehehe…”
Jiraiya chuckled lecherously, taking notes in a small book.
Yamaki threw a shuriken, startling Jiraiya.
“Ninja Art: Needle Jiz?!”
Jiraiya’s white hair rapidly lengthened and hardened, forming a protective cocoon around him.
Clang, clang!
The shuriken bounced off.
Jiraiya was furious. Was this an attempt on his life!?
“You bastard, what are you doing!?”
Yamaki shouted, “Bold scoundrel, peeping at the women’s bathhouse in broad daylight! You’re asking for death!”
His voice thundered through Konoha’s commercial district, attracting many people. The women’s bathhouse was in chaos.
“Not good!” Jiraiya, seeing the growing crowd, panicked and tried to escape.
But Yamaki blocked every path.
Jiraiya fumed. How many people would see this!?
He engaged Yamaki in combat.
Jiraiya’s punches and kicks were powerful, and after initially holding back, he realised he couldn’t subdue Yamaki without going all out.
Yamaki only defended, holding Jiraiya in place.
As the Police Force and villagers gathered, Jiraiya was overwhelmed.
He even noticed the Hokage’s ANBU hiding, recognising his identity but not intervening.
Frustrated, Jiraiya halted and addressed Yamaki. “Hey, kid, let me go. I’m Jiraiya.”
Yamaki was unmoved. As the crowd grew, he shouted,
“Everyone, look! This man is a peeping tom, and he’s none other than the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya!”
“What!? Lord Jiraiya is a peeping tom?”
“Is that really Lord Jiraiya?”
“Ew, Jiraiya is this kind of person?”
Jiraiya’s face turned pale. This Uchiha knew him and had planned this!
“As a high-ranking Konoha figure, a student of the Third Hokage, he engages in filthy behavior.”
“As the Patrol Captain of the Police Force, I can’t arrest him because of his status.”
Yamaki feigned despair. “I can only warn everyone: beware when you bathe. If Jiraiya is around, avoid the area, or he’ll spy on your wives, daughters, and sisters.”
The crowd grew angrier.
“Disgusting. I’ll avoid Jiraiya.”
“Don’t bathe where Jiraiya is, or he’ll peep.”
“The Third Hokage’s student is such a disgrace.”
“The Police Force has it tough. They can’t arrest big shots and can only warn us.”
Jiraiya’s face turned red and white. Usually, if caught peeping, people chased him but couldn’t see him. Those who could recognise him refrained from exposing him.
But now, he was being publicly shamed. He suspected a conspiracy!
“Who are you, and why are you targeting me?” Jiraiya asked angrily.
“Me?” Yamaki held up the appointment scroll.
“I am Uchiha Yamaki, Patrol Captain of the Police Force, responsible for public order.”
“Since you’re the Third Hokage’s student, I can’t arrest you. I can only warn the public to avoid you.”
“You’re Uchiha Yamaki!”
Jiraiya was shocked. No wonder the Third Hokage said this person was troublesome.
He couldn’t handle this. He couldn’t fight, couldn’t escape.
Yamaki continued to criticize him.
“What do you mean, targeting? Isn’t peeping a fact?”
“Hy?ga Aiko! Testify!”
Hy?ga Aiko felt a surge of courage.
“Yes! I testify! While we were bathing, Jiraiya was peeping outside!”
After speaking, Aiko felt nervous. Could she afford to offend Jiraiya?
“You! I!” Jiraiya was speechless.
Yamaki seized the moment. “Everyone, this is Hy?ga Aiko, our victim, who bravely testified against a high-ranking figure.”
“If anything happens to her, it’s Jiraiya’s doing!”
“Aiko, don’t be afraid! The villagers see everything! Your safety is guaranteed by the Police Force!”
“Even if the Third Hokage punishes us, we will stand by you!”
The villagers were furious. The legendary Sannin was a pervert abusing his status.
