Naruto's Strongest Force - Chapter 93
In the forest of the Land of Hot Water.
“What… is a casting delay?” Yoruba, having just been slapped, was left confused.
At that moment, Hidan, lying on the ground, opened his eyes and began screaming hysterically, “Aaaah! It hurts so much! You bastard, how dare you interrupt Lord Jashin’s ritual!”
“You deserve to die a thousand times over!”
“You’re still not dead?” Uchiha Yoruya jumped in fright. It was eerie to see a severed head speaking.
“Hahaha, this is all thanks to Lord Jashin’s blessings! I’m immortal! Immortal!”
“Even with just a head, I’ll crawl over and bite your throat off!!”
Natsuki remained expressionless. He took out a kunai and threw it forcefully.
The kunai pierced directly into Hidan’s mouth, shredding his tongue. Hidan could only make muffled sounds now.
Turning to Yoruya, Natsuki explained, “Look at the symbol under his feet. His scythe collected your blood, and if he licked that blood while standing in the circle, your life would be linked to his.”
“If he then stabs his own heart, you would die here.”
Yoruya was shocked, realizing how close he had been to death’s door.
“You saw him drawing that symbol on the ground and yet, even though he let your shuriken hit him, he refused to leave the circle. Why didn’t you stop him?”
Natsuki was furious—this clumsy Uchiha had almost lost his life.
Yoruya bowed his head. “I’m sorry, Lord Natsuki.”
“Forget it,” Natsuki said, letting it go. After all, as a seer, he knew Hidan’s methods, but others didn’t. It was understandable that Yoruya had been cautious and didn’t rush in.
“Did you come here for the mission involving the Jashin cult?”
Yoruya nodded. “Yes, Lord Natsuki. Recently, the Jashin cult suddenly appeared in the Land of Hot Water. Some of the cult members are impossible to kill, so the country sought help from the Hidden Sound Village, and we were sent.”
“How many of you came? Who’s leading the team?”
“There are six of us, led by Shisui. He’s already wiped out three cult strongholds. I encountered this one while scouting,” Yoruya respectfully replied.
In smaller countries like this, the ninja abilities were often uneven, with many without formal training. Some were weaker than the Leaf’s lowest-ranking ninjas, let alone the Uchiha elite.
So, sending six people, with Shisui leading, was already giving these cultists plenty of respect.
Natsuki glanced down at Hidan, who was still muttering incomprehensible sounds with his ruined mouth. Natsuki despised Hidan the most out of the entire Akatsuki organization, not because Hidan was foolish, but because he killed solely to please his evil god, constantly preaching and trying to convert others.
Though Hidan was the only successful immortal cult member for now, there was no telling if another Hidan might emerge.
Such a murderous cult had to be destroyed!
Natsuki initially considered taking Hidan’s head back to Orochimaru for research, but the thought disgusted him. Instead, he decided to dig a hole and bury him—out of sight, out of mind.
Natsuki’s Sharingan spun rapidly, transforming into the Mangekyo Sharingan. Instantly, a towering Susanoo appeared around him.
Yoruya watched in awe at the massive Susanoo, towering tens of meters high. This was the divine power of Lord Natsuki.
Shisui and his team noticed the gigantic Susanoo in the forest from afar.
“It’s Natsuki-senpai! Let’s go!”
Shisui was ecstatic, having not seen Natsuki in many years and never expecting to encounter him here.
Further away, when they saw it, Kisame Hoshigaki and his companions started heading toward the Susanoo.
…
With a thunderous roar, Natsuki’s Susanoo smashed Hidan’s head and the ground into a deep crater.
Natsuki peered into the pit, where a mess of flesh and blood lay with no sound coming from it.
Natsuki was curious. Now that I’ve turned you into Hidan-chan, can you still come back to life?
Natsuki’s Susanoo pulled its arm back and swept the remains of Hidan-chan into the ground, burying him.
With another loud crash, Natsuki pulverized Hidan’s body into mush as well, then dug another hole to bury it.
Yoruya stood nearby, slack-jawed. Lord Natsuki was brutal!
The sound of footsteps approached. Shisui’s group arrived first, followed by Kisame’s group.
Natsuki finished burying both parts of Hidan’s body and dispelled his Susanoo.
Shisui tensed up when he saw Kisame and the others, as their Mist Village attire made them appear as enemies.
But Natsuki quickly landed in front of Shisui.
“No need to worry, they’re on our side.”
With Natsuki’s reassurance, Shisui and the others relaxed.
“Why are you out on a mission? Is your issue resolved?” Natsuki asked.
Shisui nodded. “Lord Orochimaru has already made us a stabilizing agent. Light usage won’t be a problem.”
Natsuki nodded, satisfied, but didn’t say much more. He figured he’d speak with Orochimaru about it later.
After briefly introducing everyone, Natsuki didn’t say much else.
However, Uchiha Shisui’s name was well-known in the Mist, and Kisame’s shark-like eyes occasionally flickered toward him.
Natsuki noticed this and smiled inwardly. Ever since Kisame obtained the Samehada, his strength had been growing daily. But because they had been traveling for so long, and most of the enemies along the way were small-time crooks, Kisame hadn’t had a chance to fight.
He was now, seeing Shisui had ignited his fighting spirit.
“Let’s finish the mission first, then head back to the Hidden Sound Village.”
Natsuki ignored Kisame’s eagerness for now, focusing on completing the task.
Shisui reported they had already destroyed three of the Jashin cult’s strongholds. Some cult members had modified their bodies to increase their strength and numb their pain. Though this caused some initial trouble, there had been no significant resistance afterward.
They had already located the headquarters of the Jashin cult, which was in a cave to the northwest.
It seemed Hidan was the only successful experiment, as none of the others could perform his death-curse technique.
To save time, as they headed toward the headquarters, Natsuki explained, “This cult has a curse technique that uses your blood to kill you. So, be careful not to get injured.”
“If you see someone drawing a magic circle on the ground, you must destroy the circle or push them out of its range.”
“There might be other immortals like Hidan, who can still move even after losing limbs.”
The group of Uchiha listened intently, their expressions solemn. They had only encountered simple body modifications when clearing out the other bases and hadn’t realized the cult had such dangerous abilities.
With their high attack but low defense, Ninjas could easily fall victim to an unexpected ambush. Natsuki’s information was crucial.
Soon, they arrived at the cave entrance, where two guards stood watch.
Shisui jumped down, his eyes narrowing, and the two guards fell unconscious.
The group quietly entered the cave in a single file.
Natsuki glanced at the eager Kisame.
“You can help them out, Kisame.”
Kisame laughed heartily. “As you command, boss.”
He followed Shisui and the others into the cave.
“You guys wait outside. This will be over soon.”
The remaining group, including Bai and Kurita Anko, who disliked combat, and Kimimaro, who Natsuki had forbidden from fighting, stayed outside.
Natsuki, curious to see Kisame’s current level of strength, leisurely followed them into the cave.
