Naruto's Strongest Force - Chapter 94
In the Land of Hot Water, inside the Jashin cult’s cave.
The cave was dimly lit, with only a few torches.
However, Natsuki’s keen eyes allowed him to see everything.
He strolled through the cave.
Along the way, many Jashin cult members lay scattered across the ground.
The cult members were easy to identify, as they dressed very stylishly. Hidan, for example, wore a down jacket on his upper body, jeans on his lower body, and Martin boots on his feet.
The other members weren’t far behind in fashion, sporting high-top boots, tight pants, loose tops, and metal accessories hanging from multiple places on their bodies.
It all seemed quite trendy, making Natsuki feel like he was back in a fashion-forward city.
The only problem was their lack of strength. As Natsuki walked, he noticed few signs of battle, and most cultists were already lying on the ground.
If they had sword wounds, they were cut down by the Uchiha. If they were smashed into a bloody mess, they would have fallen to Kisame’s blade, Samehada.
Some bodies bore black or silver modifications, hinting at body alterations.
The passage wasn’t long, and Natsuki could hear the sounds of fighting ahead. He saw a high platform as he walked into a large pit area.
The platform was stained dark brown with blood littered with severed limbs, causing Natsuki to frown in disgust.
This seemed to be the gathering or sacrificial area for the cult.
In the middle of the scene, Shisui was using his famous technique, the Phantom Body Flicker Jutsu, leaving multiple afterimages of himself, slaughtering the cult members and pushing them back.
The Jashin cult members behaved like madmen, shouting “Hail Jashin!” even as they were cut down, then rushing forward to embrace their attackers, willingly allowing their comrades’ blades to pierce them.
Fortunately, Shisui was a master of the Body Flicker, and the cultists were weak. Their suicidal tactics were ineffective, as they only managed to grab Shisui’s clones.
Meanwhile, Kisame had unwrapped Samehada and was using its Chain Strike technique. The blade’s handle extended like a chain, and Kisame swung it like a meteor hammer.
Anyone it hit died instantly, and those it grazed were incapacitated.
In the Land of Hot Water, where high-level ninjas were rare, the so-called elites of the Jashin cult were few and far between. Most were just cannon fodder.
Once Shisui and Kisame cleared the weaker members, only four cultists remained, slightly more capable than the others.
The leader in the center shouted, “You blasphemers! Lord Jashin will never forgive you!”
Natsuki stepped forward. “Oh? We’re standing right here. What can your Jashin do to us?”
The leader faltered, realizing the people before him were Uchiha and his subordinates had been utterly helpless. To make matters worse, their most perfect modified member, Hidan, was not there.
“Just wait! When Hidan returns, he’ll kill all of you!”
Yoruya spoke up, “It’s useless. Give up. Hidan’s already been killed by Lord Natsuki.”
“What!?”
“That’s impossible! I don’t believe it!” Seeing the group approach, the leader turned to his remaining followers. “It’s time to show our loyalty to Lord Jashin!”
The cult members appeared possessed, shouting in unison, “Loyalty to Lord Jashin!”
They all leaped onto the platform, drew their blades, and stabbed their necks. Although they didn’t die instantly, they twisted the knives for good measure.
Blood sprayed into the air.
Standing at the highest point, the leader exclaimed, “Lord Jashin, this is the gift of your most devoted followers.”
The blood on the ground seemed alive, glowing with an eerie light.
“Hahahaha! Hahahahaha…” The leader laughed maniacally, believing the ritual was complete. Soon, he would possess immortality, impervious to decapitation or heart removal.
Natsuki frowned and jumped into the air.
From above, he noticed the blood forming a triangle and a circle, the same symbol Hidan had drawn.
A force seemed to cross over from another dimension, gathering in the leader’s body.
Natsuki snorted coldly.
“Kisame! Clean up all this blood!”
Kisame grinned. “Leave it to me, boss!”
He sheathed Samehada and quickly formed hand seals.
“Water Style: Giant Water Shockwave!”
Whoosh! A massive surge of water erupted from Kisame’s mouth.
Like a dam bursting, the sound was deafening as the water rushed over the ground.
The water washed away the blood, along with the cultists’ bodies, pushing them out of the passageway.
The Uchiha members were stunned. Such a powerful Water Style!
They jumped to avoid the rising water.
However, something awkward happened. Kisame had summoned too much water, and it had nowhere to go.
The passage became clogged with the bodies of the cultists, and the water level in the hall began to rise rapidly.
Natsuki was speechless. Kisame was itching for a fight after going so long without one.
The water wasn’t enough to drown anyone, but it made things messy.
Susanoo!
Natsuki’s Mangekyo Sharingan activated, summoning his colossal Susanoo.
With a crash, it broke through the cave wall.
…
Kurita Anko heard the rushing water and immediately knew that it must be Kisame unleashing his Water Style again.
Only Kisame’s Water Style could be this powerful.
But wasn’t that the cave?
Kurita Anko looked confused, instinctively grabbing onto Bai’s clothes.
Boom! The slanted mountain wall suddenly burst open.
Water gushed out from the hole.
Kurita Anko jumped onto the water, lifting Bai with her.
Kimimaro nimbly leaped onto a nearby tree.
A gigantic Susanoo emerged from the cave.
Moments later, several Uchiha clan members jumped out, with Shisui carrying an unconscious man.
Kisame, dripping wet and holding Samehada, followed.
He grinned, “Sorry, boss. Forgot the space was a bit too small.”
Though he apologized, there was no sign of regret in his tone.
Natsuki didn’t mind. He knew Kisame’s carefree nature and realized it was partly his fault for not planning.
The water receded as quickly as it had come, and soon, everyone was standing on the now-calm surface.
Natsuki scolded the Uchiha, “You saw him preparing a big attack, and none of you thought to stop him? What were you all doing?”
Shisui rubbed his nose sheepishly. “Natsuki-senpai, don’t be mad. I told them not to intervene.”
Natsuki snorted. Shisui was always like this, preferring to act cautiously and often missing crucial opportunities.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Shisui quickly changed the topic. “Natsuki-senpai, what should we do with this guy?”
Shisui dropped the cult leader onto the muddy ground. The man coughed up mud and water but couldn’t stop ranting, “You interrupted Lord Jashin’s ritual! Jashin will curse you all!”
With a glance from Natsuki, Shisui decapitated the man with a swift strike.
Amazingly, just like Hidan, the man didn’t die, even with his head severed.
“Hahahaha! I am immortal! Lord Jashin has blessed me! I have succeeded! I am undying…”
Natsuki stared at the cult leader, thinking he must have lost his mind. He had no interest in studying how to undo the man’s immortality.
Summoning his Susanoo again, Natsuki delivered a powerful punch.
Boom! Mud and water splattered everywhere. If the others hadn’t dodged quickly, they would have been drenched.
The talking head was reduced to a pulp, and a bottomless pit formed in the ground.
Natsuki frowned and delivered another punch, reducing the leader’s body to a bloody mess as well.
His Susanoo then swept the area, filling in the two pits.
Natsuki dispelled his Susanoo and ordered Shisui, “Go inside and blow up the hall’s floor. Leave no trace.”
Shisui nodded and carried out the order.
The other Uchiha members gazed at the Susanoo in awe, yearning for its power.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A series of explosion tags went off, and Shisui leaped out of the cave.
“Natsuki-senpai, I’ve flattened the floor.”
Natsuki clapped his hands. “Alright, mission complete. Let’s head back.”
