Ninja School Teacher, I Can Become Stronger by Teaching - Chapter 63
On Sunday evening, while preparing dinner, Mokutsuki casually mentioned that he had mastered the One-Finger Sealing Technique.
“You’ve already mastered it? Let me see, that’s exactly seven days,” Kushina Uzumaki said, counting on her fingers and realising that Mokutsuki had learned it in just seven days.
“To learn it in seven days means you have quite a talent for sealing techniques,” Kushina said with a smile, feeling happy for Mokutsuki.
With such talent in sealing techniques, it wouldn’t be difficult for Mokutsuki to advance to a special j?nin through sealing techniques.
“I think learning it so quickly is mainly because Kushina-sensei and Minato-sensei taught me well,” Mokutsuki said with a smile as he brought the dishes to the table.
This was a bit of a payback since Minato and Kushina had jokingly called him “Teacher Mokutsuki” before.
“Hehe, of course, Minato learned all his sealing techniques from me,” Kushina said proudly.
After getting close to Minato, Kushina wanted to make him stronger, so she often dragged him to train in sealing techniques.
Under her careful guidance, Minato had become an expert in sealing techniques, mastering many advanced ones.
“Maybe I’m quite suited to be a teacher,” Kushina mused, thinking she might have a talent for teaching.
She had only taught sealing techniques to two people, Minato and Mokutsuki. Minato had become an expert, and Mokutsuki had learned the One-Finger Sealing Technique in a week.
“Sensei Kushina, let’s eat,” Minato said playfully as he helped Kushina serve the food.
“Student Minato, who gave you permission to talk to the teacher like that? Your punishment is to serve the teacher,” Kushina said, mimicking the tone of their former teachers at the ninja academy.
“Alright, alright,” Minato said with a resigned smile, playing along and serving food to Kushina.
Mokutsuki felt a bit awkward. Despite it being his home, he felt like he should step outside to eat.
“If you two keep this up, I’ll end up eating everything,” Mokutsuki said, shifting into his eating mode and quickly devouring his meal.
He swiftly picked up the food and mixed it with rice, repeating the process.
“Hey!” Seeing the food rapidly disappear, Kushina and Minato stopped their role-playing and focused on eating.
In no time, the three of them had finished everything on the table. Kushina and Minato then went to wash the dishes.
Since they had been eating at Mokutsuki’s place so often, they usually helped with chores like washing vegetables and dishes. Mokutsuki also helped when he ate at their place.
After the dishes were done, Kushina suggested that Mokutsuki practice the One-Finger Sealing Technique and the sealing knowledge on the scroll, promising to teach him the Three-Finger Sealing Technique in a few days.
“The Three-Finger Sealing Technique is an advanced version of the One-Finger Sealing Technique. With your talent, you should be able to learn it within a month,” Kushina said.
“Is there a Four-Finger Sealing Technique and a Five-Finger Sealing Technique?” Mokutsuki asked, finding the names a bit simplistic.
“There isn’t a Four-Finger Sealing Technique, only a Five-Finger Sealing Technique,” Kushina replied.
There really was one.
“If you can master the Five-Finger Sealing Technique, learning most sealing techniques won’t be difficult. And the Five-Finger Sealing Technique itself is part of an advanced sealing technique,” Kushina explained.
With her explanation, Mokutsuki understood the significance of the One-Finger and Three-Finger Sealing Techniques.
“What do you want to eat tomorrow? I’ll prepare the ingredients in advance,” Mokutsuki asked.
Although they were already very close, since Kushina and Minato were teaching him sealing techniques, he felt he should show some appreciation.
“Pork belly,” Kushina replied immediately.
“Stir-fried mushrooms,” Minato said after some thought.
Kushina’s answer was expected. As for Minato, Mokutsuki felt he should remind him to cook the mushrooms thoroughly and maybe leave a Flying Thunder God mark at Konoha Hospital.
……
On Monday, Kotetsu Hagane arrived at school early.
He skillfully placed a novel on his desk and began reading. It was the last week before the final exams, which would start next Monday, last three days, and be followed by a break.
When it was almost time for Izumo Kamizuki to arrive, Kotetsu put the book away and pulled out the novel.
“Good morning, Kotetsu,” Izumo greeted him with a smile.
“Reading a novel again?” Izumo glanced at the book on Kotetsu’s desk and, seeing that it was indeed a novel, heaved a sigh of relief.
“Yeah, with only a week left until exams, studying now would just cause anxiety. It’s better to relax,” Kotetsu replied with a smile.
“By the way, Izumo, I recently discovered a great game. Come and see if you like it,” Kotetsu said, pulling out a square iron box from his bag.
He had learned that the game was very addictive, making players want to play over and over.
Izumo loved games, so he should play this one for a week.
“Backgammon! I played this at a relative’s house once. It’s really fun. Kotetsu, you’re so thoughtful,” Izumo said, touched.
He hadn’t expected his lie about playing games to avoid studying to be remembered by Kotetsu. This made him feel a bit guilty.
Kotetsu was so good to him, how could he…
“I recently bought a lot of good ninja novels. I can’t read them all. I’ll give you three,” Izumo said, handing over some novels to Kotetsu.
Though their brotherhood was strong, Izumo was more eager to win the heart of the neighbour’s girl.
Since Kotetsu liked reading novels, he should read them for a week. After all, he had said he wanted to relax.
“These are all bestsellers! Izumo, you…” Kotetsu was moved, seeing the novels Izumo handed over with a smile.
Izumo had believed his disguise and even used such a flimsy excuse to give him a gift.
No one ever felt they had too many good novels. The more you read, the more you wanted.
“I’ve collected various games. Here, take them,” Kotetsu said, handing a piece of paper to Izumo.
The paper listed over a dozen games, both indoor and outdoor, offering a full range of options.
“For Mei, sorry, Izumo,” Kotetsu apologised silently.
“Shisui, want to borrow a novel to relax? You seem tired from studying all the time. I can’t read them all at once anyway,” Kotetsu asked Shisui.
“I have lots of games to share too,” Izumo added quickly.
However, to their disappointment, Shisui shook his head and declined politely.
“What kind of brothers are you if you ask Shisui and not me?” Anko Mitarashi said, arms akimbo, glaring at them.
Kotetsu, Izumo: …
They were worried Anko might not score as high as last time.
“Uh, Anko, maybe you should study a bit,” Kotetsu suggested.
Anko wasn’t a threat to him. He was more worried she’d score too low.
“Study for what? Didn’t you say not studying would be better? Did you study?” Anko asked, puzzled.
Kotetsu didn’t dare admit it and shook his head.
“What about you, Izumo? Did you study?” Anko asked.
“No,” Izumo shook his head too.
“There you go,” Anko said, satisfied.
Kotetsu and Izumo exchanged glances then reluctantly shared the novels and games with Anko.
“That’s what good brothers should do,” Anko said with a smile, patting their shoulders.
