One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 31
“Captain Drake, are you sure we can get into the city dressed like this? Isn’t this a bit too risky?”
On the wide road leading to the gates of Prince City, Drake walked at the front, followed by a dozen people, openly heading towards the city gate.
The one speaking was a Marine Captain walking behind Drake. At the moment, this Captain was wearing an open-chested white sailor outfit with a rough cloth belt tied haphazardly around his waist. A flashy, thick gold chain hung from his neck, swaying with each step he took. He had a shiny flintlock pistol and a sheathed short sword at his waist. No one would associate him with the honorable Marines.
“Keep it together. We’re pirates now. Act wild and fierce,” Drake muttered under his breath, his expression unchanged.
Walking at the front, he hadn’t changed his attire at all. He had a black eye patch, a scarred face, a sword at his waist, captain’s hat on his head, striding with confidence. His slightly upturned chin displayed a touch of arrogance.
According to Rosha, Drake’s look was the epitome of a pirate captain. If the Marines encountered him at sea, he’d undoubtedly be greeted with a barrage of cannonballs.
The other dozen Marine officers were also dressed as typical pirates. Among them, Peacock and Rosha, walking just behind Drake, stood out the most.
Like Drake, Peacock hadn’t changed her attire. She still wore her tight, short floral dress. Her curvaceous figure seemed confined by the thin fabric. Her long, fair legs, clad in black high heels, swayed seductively, attracting countless greedy glances from the passersby.
Under her light pink hat, her captivating face was revealed. The black whip at her waist added a touch of mystery to her allure.
Beside her, Rosha was dressed in blue cropped pants, a white shirt with an open chest revealing his bronzed muscles and leather sandals. His silver hair was tied back into a single ponytail, and his cheeks had two teardrop-shaped purple tattoos near his eyes.
His right hand rested on the hilt of a long sword at his waist. What caught my attention the most were his light blue eyes, tinged with a hint of red. His grinning mouth carried a touch of recklessness.
“You don’t look like a pirate at all. You look more like a noble young man from some kingdom here to have fun in Prince City,” Drake said with a hint of sarcasm, glancing back at Rosha.
177 Branch’s boy was perhaps a bit too good-looking.
They had dressed as pirates based on Rosha’s suggestion. He reasoned that since Ilia intended to turn the Kingdom of Prince into a pirate nation, there would undoubtedly be many pirate crews gathered there. This was their opportunity. They could disguise themselves as a pirate crew coming to participate in the city’s events, entering through the main gate without the need for a stealthy approach.
Disguising as pirates had other advantages, too. They could infiltrate the enemy ranks and even approach the palace to gather information about the royal family’s situation.
Peacock approached closer, looking up at Rosha with a smile. “No, I think he looks perfect. Who says there can’t be a nobleman among pirates?”
“A nobleman among pirates? Hmph, if there were pirates like him, they’d be targeted by slavers in no time. I’ve heard that some older noblewomen are particularly fond of his type,” Drake retorted, his tone tinged with jealousy.
“Oh? Are you jealous, Captain Drake~?” Peacock teased, stepping forward and reaching out with her right index finger towards Drake’s face.
“Who’s jealous? I don’t have time for that,” Drake turned his head to avoid her touch, a slight blush on his stern face.
Soon, they arrived at the tall city gate. “So, entry is restricted,” Rosha noted, his blue eyes with a hint of red scanning the closed gate.
Prince Ilia was in this city, right?
“Hey! Who are you? Can’t you see the gate is closed? What are you doing here?”
A few burly men in armor stood guard outside the closed gate. Despite their soldier attire, their casual postures and the wine bottles and skewers in their hands made it clear they were imposters. No proper soldiers would drink and eat while on duty.
Drake’s group tensed up, looking at Drake for guidance. Drake coughed, adjusted his expression, and stepped forward with a smile. “We’re pirates invited to the city’s event.”
“Pirates? More newcomers. Which pirate crew are you from?” The guard seemed unsurprised, having seen many pirates arrive recently.
“SWORD Pirates. I’m the captain, De… Decker,” Drake said, rolling his eyes.
“SWORD Pirates?” The guards exchanged confused glances.
The bearded pirate inquired further. “Never heard of them! You’re just here to get some spoils, aren’t you? You scoundrels should go back to bullying villagers in your hometowns. You’re not worth our time.”
“Scoundrels? Are you talking about me?” Drake pointed at himself, incredulous. “I’m the renowned pirate captain Decker, and you call me a scoundrel?”
“Renowned? What’s your bounty?” the bearded pirate sneered.
“Bounty?” Drake glanced at Rosha and scratched his face.
“Ha! No bounty? Renowned my foot! Get lost before I lose my patience!” The bearded pirate spat.
He then noticed Peacock, his eyes widening with lust.
“Hey, De-something, if you let this woman keep me company for a few days, I’ll let you in. Deal?”
The bearded pirate reached for Peacock’s arm, assuming Drake and his crew were pushovers.
Drake was still stunned, unsure of what to do.
Rosha stepped forward, grabbed the bearded pirate’s wrist, and twisted it downwards with a sharp snap.
With a pained expression, the bearded pirate opened his mouth, but before he could scream, Rosha grabbed his face and flung him towards the gate.
The pirate’s armored body hit the gate with a resounding crash.
“Happy Dragon Boat Festival!”
