One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 38
“Come here, I need to talk to you.”
Drake grabbed Rosha by the neck, dragging him outside the inn.
Law glanced at them but said nothing, merely extending his right hand to release a hemispherical barrier.
With a swish, a simple hand-drawn map appeared on the table before him.
“Hey, come over and discuss our plan, woman.”
Law called to Peacock as she slowly stood up.
Peacock smiled, “I was just thinking the same, little brother.”
Outside the inn.
Drake, keeping his voice low, spoke to Rosha, “Hey, are you serious about this? This guy is a pirate, and he got here before us. He might be one of Ilia’s invited pirate captains to help establish this pirate kingdom.”
“If we trust him so easily and he betrays us, selling us out to Miggs Jones or Trebol, we’re done for.”
“And why do you trust him so much? Who exactly is he?”
Drake’s grip was strong, given his expertise in physical strength as a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user.
Rosha, struggling under the pressure, pried Drake’s hand off and wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
The two huddled close, whispering.
Whatever Rosha said made Drake’s eyes bulge and his mouth gape like a crazed hippo.
“What did you say? He…he…he’s the Fleet Admiral Sengoku’s grandson?!”
Rosha quickly covered Drake’s mouth.
“Shh, keep it down. If you let that slip, you know what could happen.”
Drake instantly shut up, shaking his head vigorously.
“I didn’t hear anything. What did you just say? Why are we here? Let’s go back inside.”
He adjusted his collar, plastering a fake smile on his face as he led the way back into the inn.
“Wow, you even have a simple map of the royal city ready? That’s amazing! With such thorough preparation, this operation is sure to be a smooth success.”
Law’s eye twitched, and a vein bulged on his forehead.
“Shut up.”
“Yes, sir.”
They gathered around the table, examining the hand-drawn map.
The map detailed the main streets and buildings of the royal city. Key locations were marked with cartoonish little heads.
Near the pagoda-like structure representing the palace were drawings of a snot-nosed old man, a bucktoothed kid, a masked guy with a big afro, and a cute girl.
“Did Law draw this? No wonder he’s a medical student; he’s also an excellent artist.”
Law, uncomfortable under Rosha’s scrutiny, cleared his throat and pointed to the palace on the map.
“This is the palace, less than a kilometer from here. According to my information, the Donquixote family members here include top executive Trebol, senior officer Gladius, members Buffalo and Baby 5.”
“In this royal city, the strongest individuals are these four, plus the captain of the Giant Bug Pirates, Miggs Jones, his first mate, Cease, and second mate, Hewton. The third mate, you already killed.”
Law glanced at Rosha.
The display of power, when Rosha killed Trawler with two punches, had left a deep impression on him.
“Can you describe their abilities and power levels?” Drake asked seriously.
This mission was crucial for the peace of the North Blue; he had to approach it with caution.
“I’m not too familiar with the Giant Bug Pirates.”
Law pointed to the Donquixote family members and explained:
“Trebol, a Paramecia-type Sticky-Sticky Fruit user, can secrete a strong adhesive from his body. It’s extremely sticky; once it touches you, it’s hard to escape. This adhesive can also be ignited, causing violent explosions.”
“Gladius, a Paramecia-type Pop-Pop Fruit user, can make parts of his body explode or cause non-living materials he touches to explode.”
“Buffalo, a Paramecia-type Spin-Spin Fruit user, can spin his body to fly.”
“Baby 5…”
Law hesitated briefly before continuing, “A Paramecia-type Arms-Arms Fruit user, she can turn her body into any weapon, attacking with both long-range cannons and missiles or close-range swords.”
Drake broke into a cold sweat.
“All Devil Fruit users. They sound incredibly tough.”
“Of course, they’re subordinates of a Warlord. They couldn’t be weak.”
Peacock pulled out a pack of cigarettes, took one, and lit it with a lighter she extracted from her thigh, inhaling deeply.
The smoke partially obscured her alluring face, making her appear even more enigmatic.
Drake, Law, and Rosha all turned their heads slightly, each touching their noses.
Peacock chuckled softly, seemingly oblivious to their discomfort.
“I’ll share the intel on the Giant Bug Pirates.”
“First, their captain, Miggs Jones.”
“A Zoan-type Bug-Bug Fruit, Sandworm form user, with a bounty of 130 million berries. Known abilities include transforming into a giant sandworm to burrow underground, launching attacks from below, and using his large mouth to devour enemies.”
“He can also turn into a swarm of smaller bugs, dispersing to attack multiple targets.”
“Then there’s Cease, the first mate, a dual-sword user nicknamed the North Blue Slayer. He can cut through iron, with a bounty of 95 million berries.”
“Finally, the second mate, Hewton, a cyborg with numerous powerful weapons implanted in his body, with a bounty of 65 million berries.”
Drake sighed heavily.
“More troublesome foes. This mission is really tough.”
He glanced around the room.
“Can just the four of us handle these powerful enemies?”
“Eyepatch guy, are you underestimating us? We’re strong too.”
Hearing Drake’s words, Bepo and his companions straightened their backs, looking at their captain.
“This mission is my personal business. You three stay at the inn and wait for my return.”
“Captain, don’t leave us behind.” Bepo’s eyes welled up.
Law’s cheek twitched, but he steeled himself, “This is my private matter. Just wait here.”
Rosha tapped the table, drawing their attention.
“Besides us four, are there any other potential allies in the royal city?”
He glanced at Drake, “Though what Drake said might be discouraging, it’s true. With just the four of us, facing these seven individuals plus the city’s pirates, the difficulty is akin to facing a Warlord head-on. If we can’t find other allies, we’ll have to resort to a risky surprise attack on the palace.”
“Prince Groose seems to have some power, an unknown ability. If we find him first, he could be an additional ally.”
Peacock exhaled a puff of smoke, tapping the palace on the map.
Law frowned, deep in thought, before seeming to recall something.
“It seems there is indeed another potential force in this city.”
