One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 40
Splurt!
Blood sprayed like a fountain as the scar-faced pirate’s gruesome head shot up, crashing onto the table with a thud.
Blood splattered everywhere, drenching Jimmy’s face and hair. The boy stood frozen, staring at the headless body still clutching him tightly, his mouth trembling like a leaf in the wind.
“What?”
After a brief moment of stunned silence, the tavern erupted with the sound of chairs and tables clattering.
The pirates leaped to their feet, horrified by the bloody and brutal scene.
“Who is that guy? He killed Pete with one strike!”
“Pete might have been a braggart, but he had a bounty of 9 million berries. How did he get killed so easily?”
“No warning at all! That guy is dangerous. Find out which pirate crew he’s from!”
Some pirates followed Hawkins outside. The tavern owner, meanwhile, scrambled up from the floor, prying his terrified son from the headless corpse and hugging him tightly, staring blankly at the tall, blond figure walking out of the tavern.
“When did the Prince’s Kingdom get a swordsman this skilled? Hey, young man, who are you?”
Hawkins stepped out of the tavern, only to find the street outside packed with hundreds of armed pirates.
The three leaders in front radiated a brutal and powerful aura, drawing everyone’s attention.
The speaker was a middle-aged man with two broad swords hanging at his waist.
Hawkins glanced at him, ignoring the four-meter-tall giant next to the man.
“I have no obligation to tell you. We’re not on the same path.”
With that, he started walking down the street in the opposite direction.
The middle-aged man, Xis, was taken aback, and then a cruel smile spread across his face as he slowly gripped the hilts of his swords.
“Well then, let me ask you something…”
He bent slightly, then sprang forward, disappearing from his spot and reappearing behind Hawkins in mid-air, his crossed swords reflecting the glaring sunlight as they slashed toward Hawkins’ neck.
“Did you kill Trull?”
Clang!
Sparks flew as a long, narrow sword suddenly appeared, blocking the strike from the two broad swords.
Hawkins turned, gripping his sword with a cold, indifferent gaze. “I don’t know anyone named Trull.”
“Is that so? But I still don’t trust you. Hehehe, since I can’t trust you, I’ll just kill you.”
Xis, gripping his swords, was deflected by Hawkins’ block and landed on the ground, his cruel smile growing wider.
At this moment, the pirates from the tavern emerged. Seeing the crowded street, they were initially surprised.
When they recognized Mig Jons, Xis, and Hughton, they became extremely nervous and backed away.
“It’s Mig Jons!”
“What are they planning? Even Xis the Slasher and Hughton the Cyborg are here.”
Standing three meters tall, with metal pipes covering his body and metallic shields on his shoulders and elbows, Hughton bared his blackened teeth and shouted at the panicked tavern pirates.
“You useless scum, listen up! We’ve got a mission for you. There are troublemakers in this city. I want you to spread out and find them.”
The pirates exchanged nervous glances, hesitating.
They weren’t part of the Giant Bug Pirates and had no reason to help.
A short, fat pirate muttered softly, “We’re from the Giant Hammer Pirates. Why should we help you Giant Bugs…”
Boom!
Hughton raised an arm, revealing a cannon hidden in his shoulder shield, which fired a fist-sized projectile that hit the fat pirate in the face.
The explosion was instant, turning the fat pirate’s head into a mist of blood and gore.
Terrified, the remaining pirates nodded frantically.
“No problem! We’ll find those troublemakers!”
“Hmph! Get moving!”
Hughton growled, waving his hand. The pirates scattered like a tide.
Meanwhile, Xis was already wildly slashing at Hawkins with his dual swords.
Three swords clashed in mid-air, sparks flying, producing a symphony of clanging metal.
“Dual Sword Style! Tempest!”
Xis grew more excited, leaping high and frantically thrusting his swords at Hawkins below.
The sword tips flashed repeatedly, creating a storm of cold points over Hawkins, covering all his escape routes.
Hawkins’ expression remained unchanged. Facing the tempest of thrusts, he sheathed his sword and bent low, gripping the scabbard with his left hand and the hilt with his right.
Seeing his actions, Xis’ eyes narrowed.
“Iai!”
Hawkins drew his sword in a flash, swinging it in a brilliant arc.
“Iai—Shadow Slash!”
The bright sword light cut through the storm, striking Xis’ dual swords.
Clang!
With a loud crash, Xis grunted and was sent flying back ten meters before landing heavily.
He shook his hands, his expression darkening.
“You know Iai swordsmanship. You…”
“Enough! I don’t have time to play with him. I’m in a bad mood!”
The four-meter-tall, one-eyed giant strode forward, stepping over Xis, and charged at Hawkins with a clenched right fist.
Boom!
The giant fist tore through the air, creating a powerful gust as it aimed at Hawkins’ face.
Hawkins sheathed his sword again, bent down, and drew his sword once more.
“Iai—Shadow Slash!”
Whoosh!
The long sword swung in a bright arc, hitting its target.
“Your speed is decent, but…”
Jons grinned, revealing a slight black tint on his fist.
This tint blocked Hawkins’ powerful slash, leaving his skin unscathed.
“Your strength is too weak!”
Jons’ fist crashed down, pressing against the sword and slamming into Hawkins’ chest with lightning speed.
Bang!
Hawkins was sent flying, blood spurting from his clenched teeth.
“Armament Haki!”
“Not bad. You even know about Haki? Mi-hahahaha! How about joining me? I’ll spare your life.”
Jons laughed loudly.
“He can’t join you. If he does, this mission will become a living hell.”
As Jons finished speaking, a faint voice echoed in his ear.
Suddenly, a transparent dome descended from the sky!
“ROOM!”
