One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 43
A thunderous roar echoed, like a primordial beast howling at the sky.
In fact, it was indeed a beast from ancient times!
Hughton’s eyes widened in terror as he saw Drake disappear. In his place was a massive green beast, seven to eight meters tall, baring teeth like guillotines in a savage grin.
“A dinosaur?”
Boom!
A colossal green tail swung, striking Hughton and sending his heavy steel body flying like a baseball.
Boom! Boom!
Buildings along the street were smashed, walls crumbling, and dust rising everywhere.
The green beast stomped its thick hind legs, shaking the ground with each step, crashing through any obstacles as it pursued the airborne cyborg.
“A dinosaur? That guy is an Ancient Zoan user? Who are these people?” Xis clenched his twin swords tightly.
In front, the blond Hawkins gripped his sword hilt.
“Iai—”
“A troublesome guy, let me cut off your head!” Xis shot forward, leaping high and slashing down with his twin swords.
“Law, get ready! Our mission is the hardest. That giant insect won’t be easy to deal with,” Ross focused intensely on Mig Jons, who was devouring his own subordinates, fully alert.
“Law?”
Not hearing a response, Ross turned to see Law staring intently at the Allosaurus form of Drake, eyes gleaming.
Ross couldn’t help but twitch his mouth. “Hey! Stop gawking. If you’re interested in dinosaurs, I’ll have Drake transform for you later. Focus on the mission now.”
Ross patted Law on the shoulder.
“Uh, right,” Law blushed slightly. “I was analyzing the tactical situation.”
“Are you done analyzing?” Ross drew the steel sword at his waist.
It was a standard Marine-issued weapon, its only advantage being its sturdiness. Although Ross hadn’t systematically learned swordsmanship, his daily training on Thousand Rocks Island included serious practice with sword swings.
“Yes, I’m done.” Law rubbed his nose and drew his long sword.
Ross noticed the sword in Law’s hand, raising an eyebrow. It was Kikoku, a famous blade from the manga. Law had good luck to get such a renowned sword so quickly.
“Let’s go!”
“ROOM!”
The translucent dome descended, and the two vanished, reappearing among the pirates surrounding Jons.
Using the pirates as cover, they stealthily approached Jons, gripping their swords tightly.
Originally, at least forty to fifty pirates were attacking Jons. But within seconds, many were dead or maimed, with several being devoured by Jons.
The remaining pirates trembled, their fear overwhelming them. They would have fled long ago if not for Peacock’s bizarre ability.
Swoosh!
The ten-meter-long neck snaked through the air, the dark red maw descending toward a petrified pirate.
“Opportunity!”
Ross erupted from behind the pirate, both hands gripping his steel sword, slashing at the gaping maw. His strength exploded, the steel sword cutting through the air with a sharp whistle. Under the immense force, the blade deformed slightly.
The sword struck the descending maw solidly.
Splat!
Blood sprayed, drenching Ross. The giant worm’s mouth was slashed open, the blade cutting two feet deep before hitting the hard teeth and stopping.
“Roar!”
The giant worm recoiled in pain, its long neck flailing and lifting Ross ten meters into the air.
Hearing the roars and wind around him, Ross shouted, “Law!”
“On it.”
On the ground, Law gripped Kikoku with both hands, silently approaching Jons from behind. The blade crackled with electric sparks as he thrust it toward Jons’ back.
“Gamma Knife!”
The sharp blade pierced Jons’ back with a flash of light.
“Die, monster!”
Law’s eyes gleamed.
Clang!
The blade struck something metallic, making a harsh sound that shocked Law.
“What? Is he a cyborg too?”
Law stared in disbelief. The spot where Kikoku struck showed a dark color, like spreading ink.
“Armament Haki!”
“Roar!”
The giant worm roared, its thick arm swinging and hitting Law in the abdomen.
“Gah!”
Law spat blood, his body hit like a thunderbolt, sent flying by Jons’ massive blow.
In the air, Ross couldn’t pull the embedded sword from the worm’s mouth. He released the sword, ducking the swinging neck, and kicked off the air, punching the worm’s wrinkled neck.
Boom!
The punch sent the worm’s head reeling. Ross saw the sword being pushed out by the worm’s teeth. As the sword fell, the gaping wound healed rapidly.
“This guy’s defense and recovery are way stronger than that giant bear. This is the power of a Zoan user,” Ross frowned. Even with his strength, he couldn’t break Jons’ defense. Moreover, Jons exhibited Haki!
Though Haki was common in the manga’s later stages, even New World grunts had it. But in the Four Blues, a Haki user with a bounty of over 100 million Berries was nearly invincible.
Boom!
Kicking the air, Ross used Moonwalk to dodge the worm’s bite, rushing towards the fallen Law.
Suddenly, Jons’ ten-meter neck compressed and shot towards Ross’ back like a spring.
“What?”
Ross felt a chill, his scalp tingling. The compressed neck shot like a blur, too fast for Ross to evade with Moonwalk.
In desperation, he used the Six Powers’ defense move.
“Tekkai!”
His muscles tensed like steel, but the terrifying force smashed into his back.
Boom!
Air rippled, and Ross grunted, smashed to the ground like hit by a speeding Sea Train.
Boom!
The street shook, stones flying as a massive crater formed.
