One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 47
The palace complex of the Prince Kingdom is situated deep within the royal city, nestled at the base of a mountain approximately 500 meters high. The gleaming white buildings stretch out from the mountain’s foot, creating onion-shaped domes.
The central onion dome is the largest and most prominent, marking the location of the royal palace hall. An ancient stone bridge slopes upward, leading directly to this massive castle suspended in mid-air. The only way to enter the palace hall is by crossing this single-stone bridge.
Two guards, clad in iron armor and holding long swords, stand at the entrance of the hall. They stand vigilantly, dutifully guarding the palace.
Suddenly, a black whip extends from beneath the right side of the stone bridge, like a pure black snake’s tongue. With a light crack, the whip’s end lightly touches the exposed neck of the guard on the right.
The sound is so faint that the guard’s colleague standing opposite doesn’t hear it. The struck guard’s eyes glaze over, a satisfied smile slowly spreading across his face as he mutters, “Hehehe, master, please whip me more~”
His fellow guard is stunned. “What did you say?”
“I said…”
The struck guard steps forward, still smiling blissfully, and thrusts his spear into his colleague’s neck.
“Any order from my master, I will obey without hesitation.”
The right-side guard pushes his dead-eyed colleague off the stone bridge, sending the body plummeting tens of meters. Still smiling foolishly, he turns to see several sneaky figures climbing up from below the bridge.
Leading them is the graceful Peacock. She rises slowly from her crouched position, extending a white finger to smooth down her skirt, which is covered in a flash of dazzling white.
Behind Peacock, a white bear in clothes blushes, blood streaming from his nose. Beside the bear, Law’s subordinates, Penguin and Shachi, are red-faced, breathing heavily through their noses.
The two men and the bear stare intently at Peacock’s graceful back, muttering, “We want to be whipped too…”
Penguin and Shachi snap out of it, looking at the bear in confusion. “Aren’t you a bear? Shouldn’t you be interested in female bears?”
“Ah? Sorry,” Bepo lowers his furry head, his entire bear form slumping dejectedly.
“Pathetic. Losing composure over mere beauty, typical pirates.”
“Exactly. They need more training to strengthen their minds.”
The Marine officers following them, casually wiping away nosebleeds, nonchalantly slip into the hall.
“Master~.”
The guard who killed his colleague kneels, smiling foolishly, looking up at Peacock.
“Tell me, where is Prince Glus imprisoned? Where is Prince Ilya now?” Peacock asks, coiling her black whip.
The guard murmurs dreamily, “Prince Glus is held in the King’s bedchamber. Prince Ilya just headed that way.”
“Good, where is the King’s bedchamber?” Peacock smiles sweetly, making the guard drool.
“It’s in the attic at the top of this hall. From there, you can overlook the entire Prince Kingdom.”
“Thank you very much.”
Peacock bends slightly, brushing her white fingers against the guard’s cheek.
The guard’s face fills with bliss.
Crack.
She snaps his neck, then throws the body off the stone bridge.
“You, stay hidden at the hall entrance and keep watch. Understood?”
Peacock stands gracefully, smiling seductively at Bepo and the others, patting Bepo’s furry head.
“Yes, master~.”
Bepo blushes, sitting down like a drunk, grinning foolishly.
Peacock’s figure flickers as she disappears from the hall entrance, heading in the direction the guard indicated.
Behind her, Penguin and Shachi’s frustrated voices echo.
“Argh, why is it always like this? Why are we less attractive than a bear? We want a beautiful woman to pat our heads too!”
At the top of the royal palace, in the giant onion-shaped bedchamber, the floor is covered with a red carpet edged with gold thread, and the fireplace on the wall crackles with flames.
Prince Ilya sits relaxed on a soft bearskin sofa, pouring a glass of red wine for his brother.
Across from him sits a tall, slim young man with curly hair, and a white feather cloak draped over his shoulders. His curls cover the young man’s eyes, and heavy Sea-Prism Stone handcuffs weigh down his wrists.
These handcuffs sap his strength, making him slump in the sofa.
“Brother, are you sure about this? I have no interest in the throne Father left me. You know I was never suited to be king,” Glus speaks weakly.
Prince Ilya says nothing, swirling the amber wine in his glass.
Glus sighs, struggling to place his chained wrists on the table, leaning back in the sofa.
“I’ve always known you were the most capable in the Prince Kingdom. You’ve always been better than me, ever since we were children.”
“Whether it was the culture, history, language, customs, and etiquette the nobles had to learn, or the swordsmanship and physical training of the guards, you mastered everything faster than I did.”
“I’ve always envied your talent, admired your eloquence and courage.”
“I know that even without resorting to dirty tactics, with your talent, you could lead the Prince Kingdom to prosperity and revival anytime you wanted.”
Rattling his chains, Glus leans forward, his hidden eyes facing his brother.
“So, brother, stop this.”
“There’s no need for this. Establishing a pirate nation will only lead to ruin. The Prince Kingdom’s centuries-old legacy will be destroyed, and countless citizens will die by pirate blades.”
“Before the World Government’s authorization arrives, you still have time to save everything!”
“Brother! I don’t know what changed you, but in my heart, you’ve never been this cruel. What are you really after?”
Glus’s voice trembles with sincerity.
Ilya sips his amber wine, glancing at the ancient mural on the bedchamber ceiling.
“Glus…”
“I’m seeking an answer.”
