One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 51
“Hey! Are you guys trying to get yourselves killed? Get out of here now!”
Rosha shouted at the growing crowd of Prince Kingdom residents gathered along the city streets. However, what struck him as odd was that these residents seemed utterly unresponsive to his yelling.
Under the eaves of the houses on either side of the street, there were little girls holding teddy bears, elderly women with walking sticks, mothers holding children’s hands, and men carrying luggage. At this moment, all of them stood motionless, with wooden expressions, like statues.
Their dull and lifeless eyes uniformly focused on Rosha and his companions, sending chills down their spines.
“Is this mind control? I’ve never heard of a Zoan-type user developing such mental powers!”
The three of them sprinted down the long street, trying to lure the rolling giant white worm towards a deserted area.
Booming sounds echoed as the massive spherical worm, larger than a house, rolled through the city, causing everything to tremble. Buildings in its path were crushed into rubble.
“We’re going to get caught! We need to stop it! Law, send me to its side!”
Rosha shouted.
“ROOM!”
Law spread his fingers, creating a rotating transparent wave.
Swish!
Rosha’s running figure vanished.
Midair beside the rolling worm, Rosha reappeared.
Boom!
He stepped on the air with his left foot, muscles in his right leg coiling, cutting through the air with a sweeping kick toward the giant worm.
“Rankyaku!”
His leg movement created a powerful air slash, slicing through the air like a sword strike, brimming with a fierce aura.
The air slash struck the rolling white worm, its layered skin folds rippling like a breathing belly. However, the slash rebounded with a boom, dispersing in a burst of air.
“This monster’s skin is too thick. Without a weapon, how do we break its defense?”
Law, looking at his empty hands, couldn’t think of a solution.
In midair, seeing that the Rankyaku attack failed, Rosha gritted his teeth and once again made his muscular body expand.
“Life Return!”
His right leg moved again, generating an air current with a sweeping kick.
“Rankyaku – Wind Cut!”
Boom!
The air below his foot exploded, creating a powerful shockwave.
A much more significant and more dazzling slash shot out from his right leg.
Slash!
This time, the rolling worm’s resilient skin couldn’t withstand it, and a long gash appeared.
The immense force of the kick even caused the worm to pause its rolling.
“It worked!”
Law’s eyes lit up.
Hawkins, however, shook his head slightly, “Its size is too big. The effect is minimal. Also, he’s clearly exhausted.”
As Hawkins spoke, Rosha fell from the air, deflating like a balloon.
At that moment, something unexpected happened!
Bam!
Just as Rosha landed, something hit his head.
Instinctively, he caught it and found it was an apple.
“An apple? Who’s being so kind?”
Rosha was initially puzzled but then delighted, wiping the dust off the apple and stuffing it into his mouth.
Crunch, crunch.
He chewed happily.
But when he looked in the direction the apple came from, the scene before him made him freeze.
Along the broken street, dozens to hundreds of residents swarmed towards him like a tide, throwing various objects.
Their faces were veined and swollen, eyes bloodshot, expressions terrifyingly grotesque.
Rosha was so stunned he forgot to chew.
“Zombies!”
From above, a barrage of random items rained down, hitting the ground around him with loud thuds. Some even hit him directly. Among the items were stale bread, kitchen knives, rolling pins, slippers, and short-barreled flintlock pistols.
“Get lost! Are you all crazy?”
Drake, who had been caught by the crowd, had to deactivate his Allosaurus transformation and used Geppo to ascend into the air, avoiding harming the fragile residents.
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out from the crowd.
Drake, just reaching the air, had his chest explode with a splash of blood.
He cried out in pain and fell.
The dense crowd immediately swarmed over him, engulfing him like a horde of zombies.
“Damn it! There are pirates hidden among them!”
Rosha’s face turned grim.
Seeing the residents’ strange behavior, it was clear some bizarre power was controlling them.
Grabbing a piece of hard bread flying towards him, Rosha stuffed it into his mouth and kept running, pushing through the mob of residents.
He jumped into the air to avoid the frail elderly and women and knocked down anyone blocking his way.
Rosha pushed through and reached Drake, grabbing him by the leg and dragging him away.
Drake’s clothes were torn to shreds by the zombie-like residents, his body covered in scratches and bites.
Rosha grimaced upon seeing a lipstick mark on Drake’s face.
Drake blushed, his face reddening.
“Why are you blushing? Do you understand the situation, you idiot!”
Rosha grumbled, dragging Drake by the leg, and running towards Law and Hawkins.
At that moment, Law and Hawkins also approached, followed by a swarm of people.
“Damn it! These people are being controlled by that worm! Run towards the palace!”
Law pointed towards the towering palace.
“How do you know it’s the worm controlling them?”
Rosha shouted.
“Is this the time to ask that?!”
Law, irritated, used his ability to teleport a crazed teenager away.
His hand enveloped in a spherical aura, Law plunged it into the teenager’s head, fishing out a white worm.
Law pinched the worm and crushed it.
The teenager then collapsed.
“That’s how I know!”
The four regrouped and dashed towards the central street, heading for the palace.
At that moment, the giant white worm came rolling towards them again!
