One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 57
Blood seeped from Rosha’s cracked muscles and skin as he clenched his fist, pressing Trebol’s shattered face deeper into the ground, almost burying his head and upper body in the pit.
The overuse of Life Return had taken a severe toll on him, leaving Rosha on the brink of exhaustion.
“Pant… pant…”
Breathing heavily, Rosha looked at Trebol, whose left arm was severed at the elbow and whose left side was covered in burns.
“Damn it, I should’ve realized this sooner.”
In the massive explosion earlier, the fate of the clay fruit user, Prince Gladius, remained unknown. Such a powerful blast could have easily overwhelmed anyone, even those with Armament Haki.
Baby 5 and Gladius, who could turn their bodies into human bombs, naturally wouldn’t be harmed by the explosion. But Trebol was different.
His body could secrete a combustible, explosive mucus, but he wasn’t a special Paramecia like Katakuri; his body couldn’t turn into mucus.
Thus, in the high-intensity explosion, Trebol lost his left forearm and sustained burns from the high temperatures.
That’s why he had only used his right hand against Rosha and hadn’t attacked too aggressively. Rosha had initially thought Trebol was toying with him like a cat with a mouse.
Now he understood that Trebol had been stalling, waiting for Gladius to defeat Peacock and come to his aid.
If Rosha had realized this sooner and sped up his attacks, maybe things would have turned out differently…
Crash.
Not far away, Gladius shook his dizzy head and stood up with a grim expression.
Rosha glared at him coldly, raising his right fist high and smashing it down on Trebol’s face again.
With a crisp crack, Trebol’s grotesque face shattered like porcelain.
Rosha’s mind reeled.
“Wait, this sensation!”
Buried halfway in the ground, Trebol’s shattered face revealed another face beneath, one with a collapsed nose bridge but much less damaged.
“Beh-heh-heh, Mucus Shell.”
Trebol spat blood, smiling smugly.
Rosha opened his right fist, his fingers clawing at Trebol’s eyes.
Boom!
A burst of intense fire erupted from Gladius, who rocketed forward with his explosively expanding legs, punching Rosha in the chest.
Rosha’s body was launched, smashing into a broken building tens of meters away.
“These little pests, one after another, have added so many variables to this otherwise perfect play,” Gladius snarled, tearing off his tattered metal accessories. He glanced at Trebol’s severed left arm, his teeth grinding, glaring murderously at Ilia atop the palace.
“Prince Ilia! You’ll have to explain this to the Young Master when he arrives!”
With that, Gladius’s legs expanded again, blowing up the ground beneath him as he shot towards the ruined building where Rosha had fallen.
Suddenly, a black whip lashed out, aiming at his airborne body.
“Get lost! Don’t get in my way, you wretched woman! Lead Bomb!”
Without looking back, Gladius flung several small lead balls.
The lead balls expanded mid-air, exploding upon hitting the bloodied Peacock, showering her with countless tiny metal fragments and blood droplets.
Peacock staggered forward a few steps before collapsing.
“Beh-heh-heh, crazy woman,” Trebol sneered at the fallen Peacock.
Peacock bit her lip, looking at him coldly.
Then she said something that made both Trebol and the approaching Gladius go pale.
“Baby 5… I need you to ignite the mucus.”
Trebol’s eyes filled with terror.
“No!”
“Get away, Trebol!” Gladius roared, trying to turn back.
The house behind him exploded as Rosha lunged out like a demon, grappling Gladius and crashing into another building.
In Trebol’s terrified gaze, Baby 5, covered in mucus, shed tears.
“I’m needed again. Mother said that only those who are needed deserve to live, only those who are needed deserve happiness. I’m so… happy.”
Her body slowly transformed into a black cannonball.
Then…
Boom!
The black cannonball exploded within the sticky mucus, igniting the combustible liquid in a more terrifying secondary explosion.
Boom!
The entire ground exploded, and a massive mushroom cloud rose from the inland sea edge.
“Room.”
Amid the expanding fireball, a transparent dome flickered, relocating Peacock from her prone position.
“Look at what you’ve done!” Gladius roared, punching Rosha off him. His expanding arm caused a powerful shockwave, sending Rosha flying, blood spilling from his mouth. His clothes were torn to shreds, and his body was covered in burns.
“As a Marine, do you know what it means to attack the Seven Warlords?”
His hair grew wildly, each strand swelling and turning into small steel needles aimed at the staggering Rosha.
Rosha’s eyes were bloodshot; he stood his ground, letting the steel needles rain down on him, piercing his skin, muscles, and chest.
The Life Return state had long ended, his strength depleted, his body reaching a critical point. His eyelids felt heavy as if giants were pulling them down.
Only pain kept him awake.
He looked up, seeing a small black dot in the sky.
Gladius’s body was expanding, a terrifying aura spreading. His eyes were filled with killing intent.
“It means… even without our intervention, the World Government will clean house!”
“Full-body Explosion!”
“Law!!”
Rosha suddenly roared, his voice echoing like thunder over the capital.
On a distant rooftop, Law held Drake’s sword.
“Ba! Fa! Lo!”
Three words, filled with anger and determination, echoed over the capital.
Law’s heart trembled as he looked up, exhausting his remaining strength.
“ROOM! Slaughterhouse!”
Buzz!
A massive transparent dome over a hundred meters in diameter instantly covered a large part of the capital, including Buffalo in the sky.
Law gripped the sword with both hands, slashing at Buffalo, who had lowered his altitude out of concern for Trebol and Gladius.
Slash!
The air split and Buffalo’s body was bisected.
The two golden chests strapped to his back were also cut, revealing two strange fruits with spiral patterns.
Seeing the fruits, Law’s mind reeled.
“So this is the turning point Hawkins mentioned!”
With his last bit of strength, he flicked his fingers.
“Command Stick!”
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The two fruits vanished mid-air.
One appeared in Hawkins’s hand as he regained consciousness.
The other appeared in Rosha’s outstretched right hand!
Rosha bit down.
Crunch!
Boom!
