One Piece Admiral Seirin - Chapter 65
At the inland sea beneath the cliff.
“The seawater has frozen! This is… Admiral Aokiji’s ability! Great! The admiral is here! Break the ice and get Grus up here; he needs immediate treatment!”
On the ice, officers broke through the ice layer and climbed out of the cold water.
In the distance, Hawkins clutched his chest, walking on the ice towards them.
On the long street, Kuzan glanced coldly at Ilya, then walked over to Rosha and the others.
“Are you guys okay?”
Kuzan crouched down, looking at the three youths much younger than him.
Their injuries were shocking.
Drake’s skull was cracked, with dried blood mixed with dust, staining his upper body black and red.
Law’s right arm was severed, but he was still breathing, helping Drake bandage Rosha’s countless wounds with torn cloth.
Rosha’s life force was weak, lying against the rubble, his pupils starting to dilate.
“Get some ice to stimulate his nerves, don’t let him go into shock,” Law said to Kuzan.
“Oh.”
Kuzan quickly conjured a palm-sized ice block with his right hand, handing it over.
Without looking up, Law continued, “Where’s your Navy backup? Contact a doctor immediately; they all need urgent treatment.”
Kuzan tapped his head, “Sorry, I wasn’t thorough. I’ll contact the branch now; they’re on standby off the coast of the Prince’s Kingdom.”
He took out a Transponder Snail.
“Buru buru…”
The Transponder Snail rang twice before being answered.
“Is this Jennifer? Send people to the island immediately and start dealing with the disaster in the Prince’s castle. Also, Drake and the others are severely injured and need immediate treatment; send medics quickly.”
At this time, several large straw ropes extended from the cliff edge leading to the inland sea, and dozens of Navy officers climbed up.
Seeing the group, the officers quickly brought Grus over.
In the distance, Bepo and his team woke up from the cold ice and returned to their hiding place, carrying out the unconscious Pez.
Seeing Law with a severed arm, Bepo and his team were tearful.
Seeing Pez covered in blood and burns, Kuzan’s expression darkened further.
He instructed the officers to split up, some to check the situation in the castle and others to bring the medics from Branch 177.
He then stood up and walked towards Doflamingo and Ilya, who were about to start fighting again.
As Kuzan approached, the air temperature plummeted, as if they were in the Arctic.
Doflamingo lowered his raised hand, looking sideways at the approaching Kuzan.
Kuzan ignored him, focusing on Ilya.
“Are you the mastermind of the Prince’s Kingdom coup, Prince Ilya?”
Ilya wiped the blood from Doflamingo’s attack and smiled at Kuzan.
“Yes, I’ve seen you before, Admiral Aokiji.”
“Why did you do this?” Kuzan asked, expressionless.
“Because I wanted to find the answer!”
“What is truly driving this world?”
Ilya’s face, similar to Hawkins’, showed a manic expression.
He pointed to his unconscious brother, Grus, “Look, Grus represents bloodline. Our father would rather give the throne to him, someone inferior to me in every way, just because he’s of royal blood. He can take over the kingdom without any effort.”
Ilya then pointed to the grim-faced Doflamingo.
“The powerful Warlords of the Sea represent strength. Their involvement brought new twists to the bloodline succession.”
“You Navy also represent legitimacy, coming to defend this country’s peace and drive out the pirates in the name of justice.”
“Is justice destined to triumph over evil as it has for thousands of years?”
“And I alone represent wisdom.”
Ilya pointed to himself, “At fifteen, I could manipulate the North Sea nations, inciting wars over trivial matters, letting the Prince’s Kingdom profit immensely. I promised pirates small benefits, and they flocked like sharks smelling blood, working for me.”
“I traded food stolen by pirates for the Revolutionary Army’s strategic Mythical Zoan fruit.”
“I used the Mythical Zoan fruit to lure the Donquixote family into the game.”
“Now, in this small kingdom, we have gathered bloodline, destiny, strength, and wisdom, the four factors I believe drive the world. But…”
Ilya laughed, pointing at the expressionless Kuzan.
“I now see that wisdom is the least useful factor.”
“Royalty without strength is meaningless.”
“Destiny wins in the end, but it stands on the foundation of strength. Without your intervention as the Navy’s top power, the answer to this play would have been strength!”
“So, is the ultimate answer the combination of destiny and strength? Is that the key factor driving the world? Hahaha.”
Ilya laughed wildly, “Have I seen through the essence of the world? Hahaha!”
Doflamingo looked at him coldly as if seeing a dead man.
“Rosha!”
Drake’s shout came from behind Kuzan.
Kuzan turned to see the blood-soaked Rosha, struggling to walk, approaching.
He opened his blue eyes, looking at the manic Ilya.
“So, for such a trivial question and answer, you destroyed your country, causing thousands of innocent deaths, turning neighboring islands and villages into rivers of blood?”
“How is it trivial? It’s extremely meaningful! Using a few thousand lives to glimpse the world’s essence is a great achievement!”
Ilya spread his arms, his smile growing brighter.
Rosha’s face twitched, feeling an indescribable frustration and anger filling his chest.
He pointed to the cracked-skull Drake, the severed-arm Law, the unconscious Pez and Grus.
“Let me tell you what drives this world!”
“It’s not bloodlines, not wisdom, not strength, and definitely not destiny!”
“It’s the basic conscience and kindness inherent in humanity!”
“It’s the courage to challenge the unknown, to break tyranny, to face life and death!”
“The greatness of humanity is the greatness of courage. The song of humanity is the song of courage!”
“With a heart of kindness and conscience, and the courage and conviction to move forward, we can change this flawed world!”
Rosha looked at the disappearing smile of Ilya, the grim-faced Doflamingo.
“Such things, people like you who disregard human life will never understand.”
With that, he seemed to exhaust his last strength, collapsing.
Kuzan caught him, his pupils trembling.
“With a heart of kindness and conscience, and the courage and conviction to move forward, we can change this flawed world?”
Kuzan’s heart felt warm.
“This is what the Navy should be, what justice should be!”
Doflamingo’s face remained expressionless for a while, then he slowly revealed a wild smile.
“Fufufu, fufufufu, does being human inherently grant kindness and conscience? What arrogance! Brat! How much real darkness and cruelty have you seen? Go out to the sea, see this flawed world, and see if your childish beliefs can change it! Fufufufu!”
He rose into the sky, carrying Trebol and the others, flying into the distance.
Not far away, Drake, Hawkins, Law, Bepo, and the officers silently watched the silver-haired boy, their emotions stirring.
Boom!
Boom!
Outside the Prince’s castle, Navy warriors from North Sea branches were besieging dozens of pirate crews gathered at the Prince’s Kingdom.
Cannons roared on the sea, playing the final curtain call.
