One Piece Admiral Silver Fox - Chapter 20
On the navy ship, Foxy’s heart was in his throat as he watched Crane narrowly escape death through his binoculars.
Although he knew Crane would survive for at least a few more decades, the recent situation had genuinely scared him. If Crane had died, it wouldn’t have benefited him at all.
His recent adventures and efforts might have been in vain.
Fortunately, Karp appeared at the crucial moment.
Karp was incredibly fierce, possibly due to his hurried arrival. He was covered in Armament Haki and looked like a dark blue humanoid tyrannosaurus.
Foxy didn’t even catch Karp’s movements before he suddenly appeared, sending the Red Count flying and rescuing Crane.
Karp’s hair was still black, and he looked as fierce as ever at his peak.
Truly a naval hero, still formidable even 20 years later.
But Karp seemed very concerned about Crane. Could there be something between them?
Some fans speculated that Crane might be Karp’s wife or lover, but Foxy found it unlikely.
If Crane were Karp’s wife, Dragon might not have established the Revolutionary Army, and most importantly, Luffy wouldn’t have been raised by the bandit Dadan.
A mother’s love is irreplaceable in a family.
Moreover, Crane didn’t seem particularly worried about Luffy during the Summit War, leading Foxy to believe there wasn’t a significant connection between them. The most likely relationship was that Crane was a close friend of Karp, and Luffy might call her “aunt” out of respect.
No, considering their status, “grandma” or “Granny Crane” would be more appropriate.
Foxy’s thoughts were just random speculations. Who knows how long One Piece will continue? Perhaps even Oda wouldn’t finish it before entering his grave.
Even if it ended soon, Foxy wouldn’t be around to see it.
Wait, was that the Lecherous Monkey?
As these thoughts flashed through his mind, Foxy noticed the battlefield, where the Lecherous Monkey, Borsalino, made a flashy entrance.
Despite his stylish entrance, Borsalino looked more haggard than Foxy.
No, Foxy needed plastic surgery.
Watching Borsalino, Foxy felt more determined to get plastic surgery. Otherwise, he felt like a thorn was stuck in his heart, unable to be pulled out and causing immense pain.
By his calculations, Borsalino should be in his thirties now, probably already a vice admiral. He seemed even more passionate in his youth.
Foxy couldn’t remember the exact timeline, but he could guess. Borsalino must be very strong now.
The Pika Pika no Mi was flashy. Foxy wished he had it.
With the appearance of Karp and the Lecherous Monkey, Foxy knew Crane wouldn’t die, and the Red Count was headed for a 20-year imprisonment in Impel Down, though he would eventually escape.
While Foxy was lost in thought, a dog-headed navy ship approached, and many powerful marines boarded his ship. One person, in particular, caught Foxy’s attention.
The future admiral, Aokiji, was originally known as Kuzan.
Wearing a white suit vest and a dark blue shirt, tall and lean, he looked like he had just woken up.
He looked very young, probably between 25 and 30, and must be a vice admiral by now.
Scanning the area, Foxy hoped to see another familiar face.
The most controversial figure in One Piece.
Yes, Sakazuki, the future admiral Akainu, would become a fleet admiral.
Foxy didn’t have strong feelings about Akainu. He never idolized anyone, especially not anime characters.
Standing at the edge, Foxy watched Ya Fei and the others talking with Kuzan, who rubbed his eyes and yawned, nodding occasionally without much enthusiasm.
Foxy remained calm, knowing this was the benefit of strength: the ability to act as one pleased.
If it were anyone else, acting calm despite being weak would have resulted in a harsh lesson.
One day, Foxy would stand in the center, admired by all, instead of being on the periphery, barely noticeable.
He is a small fry with no status and is relegated to the sidelines. But he had many opportunities ahead.
Taking a deep breath, Foxy didn’t feel discouraged. He returned his gaze to Shaitan Island through the binoculars.
The battle had ended. Karp appeared, carrying the unconscious Red Count, while Crane found Kong and used her ability to heal his injuries. Kong was no longer in mortal danger.
Kong said something to Borsalino, who vanished and reappeared on the deck in a flash of golden light, almost blinding Foxy’s 24K pure gold eye.
Up close, Borsalino looked even more lecherous. How could someone look like this?
The navy ship then headed towards Shaitan Island, with Borsalino disappearing again, attacking the pirate ships trying to flee.
Watching through his binoculars, Foxy’s face grew darker.
Borsalino simply pointed a finger, firing a golden laser that made the pirate ships explode like they had been hit by missiles, killing everyone aboard.
It was effortless, casual, and elegant. A mere finger movement and the enemy had no chance to escape.
Compared to himself, Borsalino was like a VIP diamond deluxe edition with special effects, speed, attack power, defense, and unmatched flair.
And himself?
Just a scrap collector.
Foxy’s face grew longer and darker, like a horse, as he became more frustrated.
Feeling his mood worsen, Foxy turned his gaze from Borsalino to Kuzan, who fell asleep within seconds, bubbles forming on his nose.
This guy was also a VIP, freezing the sea and creating ice ages effortlessly.
Damn, these people are truly disgusting.
Spitting into the sea, Foxy felt frustrated and annoyed.
Explosions echoed around him as the navy ship approached Shaitan Island.
“Fleet Admiral Kong.”
Many marines saluted when they saw Crane supporting Kong, including Foxy.
Several rear admirals flew up, cuffing the unconscious Red Count with sea stone handcuffs.
“Karp, Kuzan, Dobit, keep an eye on Baroric. We’re heading back to Marineford.”
Even with Crane’s healing, Kong looked exhausted and needed rest.
“Yes, sir.”
With his booming voice, Dobit and the others saluted while Karp asked, “Ya Fei, got any food?”
Karp seemed familiar with Crane’s three rear admirals, showing no formalities.
“Vice Admiral Karp, our ship is destroyed. This is Vice Admiral Dobit’s ship.”
You Fei wasn’t surprised and smiled.
“Go prepare some food.”
Dobit ordered his officers.
“Yes, sir.”
The group then entered the cabin, not waiting for Borsalino’s ship, and began to change direction.
Standing by the railing, Foxy looked deep in thought at the remnants of Shaitan Island.
This battle had broadened his horizons.
In the year 1520 of the Sea Circle Calendar, Kizaru is 56 years old, so 20 years ago, he was 36. Aokiji is 47 years old, so 20 years ago, he was 27. Akainu is 53 years old, so 20 years ago, he was 33.
