One Piece Admiral Silver Fox - Chapter 56
“Bang! Bang!”
Fists collided, and two figures moved in a blur, exchanging blows. To experts, their fighting might seem full of openings, but their skills were top-notch for Foxy and Shuzo’s age group. As the fight continued, both seemed more engrossed in the battle.
In terms of strength, Shuzo had the upper hand. However, Foxy balanced it out with his Observation Haki, matching the fight evenly. Both their Armament and Observation of Haki grew more refined with each strike.
Unbeknownst to them, someone had been observing since Berry Good and Shuuen started their match.
On the field, Foxy skidded across the ground after a loud crash, spitting blood. Shuzo, too, staggered back, blood at the corner of his mouth.
“Foxy, are you not using your ability?” Shuzo wiped the blood from his mouth and rubbed his chest.
“Are you sure?” Foxy stood up, dusting off his hands.
“Even if you use your ability, you won’t defeat me.” Shuzo exuded confidence.
“If that’s the case, don’t say it’s unfair later.”
Since Shuzo insisted on this challenge, Foxy had no reason to hold back. Many people have interests that make little sense.
Shuzo didn’t respond, instead beckoning Foxy with a taunting gesture.
With a sinister grin, Foxy used Soru to vanish. Shuzo, anticipating the attack, readied himself.
Their fists clashed again. Foxy refrained from using his ability initially, knowing that Shuzo’s Soru could easily dodge it. Close-range release was his best option.
During the clash, Shuzo stayed vigilant, but Foxy kept delaying, perhaps on purpose. Eventually, Foxy landed a solid kick, sending Shuzo flying due to his over-tension.
Foxy appeared mid-air, aiming a kick at Shuzo’s side. Shuzo blocked but was sent flying again, landing with a furious expression after several backflips.
Foxy smiled, his hand repeatedly forming and releasing a delicate pose.
“Foxy, are you going to use it or not?”
“Shuzo, your mindset is flawed. Would you hesitate like this against a real enemy?” Foxy frowned, offering a bit of advice.
“Enemies won’t give you any chances.”
Foxy vanished again, reappearing in front of Shuzo with a sweeping kick. At the exact moment, he formed a delicate hand gesture.
As Shuzo blocked Foxy’s kick, a pink aura hit him squarely.
Watching Shuzo slowly fly backward, Foxy stood before him, flashing a row of gleaming white teeth. Shuzo’s eyes were filled with despair. He knew once Foxy’s ability hit him, there was no recovery.
“Shuzo, blink if you don’t want to get hit. If you still want to fight, keep your eyes open.”
“Oh? It seems you still want to fight!” Foxy taunted, clenching his fist menacingly.
“I give up! Damn it, I give up!” Shuzo’s eyes showed fury, unable to blink due to Foxy’s slowing ability.
Feigning ignorance, Foxy landed a heavy punch on Shuzo’s stomach, then adjusted Shuzo’s position and faced him skyward. In slow time, attacks would burst with delayed impact, and Foxy could reposition targets.
Shuzo would be launched skyward as time resumed, face down, back up, and curled.
“Foxy, you bastard…” Shuzo cursed as he rocketed upward.
On the ground, Drake and the others looked up with strange expressions.
“He might die from that fall,” Berry Good remarked, looking at Foxy like a demon.
“Foxy, wasn’t that a bit much?” Drake pretended to wipe nonexistent sweat.
“Relax.” Foxy watched Shuzo plummet, noting his terrified expression.
Foxy formed his hand gesture again, slowing Shuzo’s descent. He grabbed Shuzo and placed him back on the ground, where Shuzo landed face-first with a loud thud.
“Foxy, I’m going to kill you,” Shuzo growled, grabbing Foxy’s collar, his eyes blazing.
“A bet’s a bet. You asked me to use my ability. Hina and the others can testify.”
“Shuzo, you lost,” Gasparde said, crossing his arms with a smirk.
“No backing out,” Hina added, stepping in to separate them.
“You didn’t see my look?” Shuzo spat on the ground, glaring at Foxy.
“What look? Looked like you had some eye crust.” Foxy played dumb.
“Eye crust?” Shuzo instinctively wiped his eyes, then huffed.
“No need to be so angry. I’ll cover this meal instead.”
“That’s what you said. I didn’t force you,” Shuzo’s anger vanished, replaced by a bright smile.
“You tricked me.” Foxy scowled, realizing Shuzo’s ploy.
“But Foxy, your ability is incredibly strong,” Shuuen and Berry Good remarked, envy evident.
“What’s there to envy? Your Devil Fruits are strong too. They just need proper development.”
“Are you just saying that?” Everyone looked doubtful.
“Alright, I’ll share my thoughts after Drake and Gasparde’s match.”
Given their close bond, Foxy didn’t mind offering advice on developing their abilities.
“Okay!” They didn’t have high hopes but appreciated the offer.
“Drake, you’d better surrender,” Gasparde suggested, stepping into the field.
“Drake, you sure you want to act so arrogant?” Gasparde’s eyes glinted with menace.
“I’ve figured out your Devil Fruit’s weakness.” Drake tilted his head back arrogantly.
Gasparde glared at Foxy, who pretended not to notice and chatted with Berry Good.
“Enough talk, let’s start,” Hina, as the referee, couldn’t stand Drake’s chatter. If left unchecked, he might babble until tomorrow.
The atmosphere grew tense. Drake and Gasparde squared off like two fierce tigers, ready to pounce.
