One Piece Admiral Silver Fox - Chapter 59
Cutting through the waves, the warship sailed smoothly under the clear blue sky, leaving Marineford far behind. Throughout most of the day, they had not encountered any pirates. Foxy had not stayed in his room but appeared on the deck, training.
The warship was well-equipped with various supplies, including training weights. Seeing some Marines training, Foxy couldn’t resist joining them, training his physical strength independently. No one bothered him, and Foxy was quite content with that.
In the morning, the sergeant had informed him that their mission was to patrol some islands under the navy’s protection. It was a routine mission, but it was Captain Gotadi’s turn this time. Of course, they wouldn’t pass up the chance to deal with any pirates they encountered, as that would earn them actual military merits.
Foxy spent the entire day training. Not a single pirate ship or island was in sight, making the day monotonous and lonely. However, Foxy, immersed in his training, found that time flew by.
He was so busy now, wishing to turn a day into two. Each day, he consistently trained his basics, practiced Soru, developed his Devil Fruit powers, and focused on mastering the semi-complete Moonwalk.
As the first day passed, on the second day, while Foxy was training, they finally encountered an unfortunate pirate crew.
A marine lowered his telescope on the lookout tower and sounded the alarm. The entire warship mobilized, and without exchanging words, both sides began to engage, unlike in the anime, where there was always some dialogue.
“Hahaha… Didn’t expect to encounter the navy here. Kill them all!” A man wearing a captain’s hat, standing on the rail of the pirate ship, commanded with a sinister smile, brandishing a longsword and with two pistols at his waist.
“Captain, the enemy is the Ferocious Spider Pirates. Their captain, Spider, has a bounty of 43 million,” a marine reported.
Hearing this, Foxy turned to see Gotadi wielding a large gear-shaped machete, significantly more extensive than Foxy. Gotadi was over four meters tall, making Foxy, who had grown to about 195 cm, look like a child in comparison.
“Forty-three million? That’s quite significant. Wipe them out!” Gotadi commanded without hesitation, holding his massive machete.
“Yes, sir!” The marines responded as cannon fire erupted. The surrounding sea churned with waves as the warship and the pirate ship shook violently.
Foxy stood by the rail, holding a longsword in one hand and a pistol at his waist, both found in the warship’s armory. As a cannonball the size of a head flew towards him, he drew his gun and fired. With a loud explosion, a gust of wind blew back his damp black hair.
At the bow, Gotadi swung his massive machete, intercepting several cannonballs in mid-air, causing them to explode with thunderous roars.
As the warship and pirate ship drew closer, bullets zipped through the air, mingling with the cries of battle and the splashes of blood, painting a vivid picture of the world’s brutality.
“Charge!”
“For justice!”
Finally, the ships were close enough for the pirates to board the warship and the marines to counterattack. Both ships became battlefields, with marines and pirates clashing fiercely.
Gotadi was already in a fierce battle with the pirate captain; their surroundings were cleared of other combatants.
“A greenhorn on a warship?” A vicious pirate with a longsword spotted Foxy, his eyes gleaming with malice, and attacked without hesitation.
Foxy’s eyes turned cold as memories flooded his mind. He vanished and reappeared behind the pirate, plunging his longsword into the pirate’s back, slicing him in half with a swift horizontal cut. The pirate collapsed, blood bubbling from his mouth.
Foxy felt no nausea or discomfort looking at the corpse, only anger. Without a second glance, he turned and charged at other pirates.
With his Observation Haki radiating, Foxy sensed danger and tilted his head, narrowly avoiding a bullet.
The warship was filled with the sounds of gunfire and clashing blades. Sparks flew from the collisions, illuminating the chaos momentarily.
Blood sprayed as Foxy killed another pirate and used his ability to save a marine.
On the pirate ship, Gotadi and the pirate captain fought fiercely, their every move deadly and filled with peril. As a captain, Gotadi could use Soru, Moonwalk, and Armament Haki.
The pirate captain was no slouch either, wielding Armament Haki and matching Gotadi blow for blow. But Gotadi held the upper hand.
Foxy moved like a ghost, cutting down pirates, and his mastery of Soru enhanced his combat effectiveness several times.
With a resounding clash, Foxy blocked a massive hammer with his longsword, the deck beneath him cracking under the strain. Behind him, a marine with a severed right arm looked on in terror.
“Where did this kid come from?” The pirate, a towering figure over four meters tall with a scarred face, wielded the massive hammer with a menacing air.
Foxy kicked out with all his strength, but the pirate countered, his leg like a pillar.
The powerful impact sent Foxy skidding back, but the pirate also staggered, his eyes showing surprise and anger at being repelled by a mere kid.
With a fiercer expression, the pirate swung his massive hammer with a deadly whoosh.
Unable to block it directly, Foxy vanished and reappeared behind the pirate, aiming his longsword at the pirate’s back.
The clash of metal rang out as the blade struck iron. The pirate was wearing an iron vest, revealing his cautious nature. Foxy’s ordinary longsword couldn’t pierce it.
As the wind whooshed, the pirate swung his hammer back at Foxy. Foxy responded by forming a pink circle with his fingers and shooting it at the pirate.
Surprisingly, the pirate withdrew his attack and retreated, his eyes wary as he stared at Foxy.
“A Devil Fruit user,” he muttered. Foxy’s heart sank. This pirate wasn’t just any henchman.
As Foxy suspected, this pirate was Krens, the first mate of the Ferocious Spider Pirates, with a bounty of 40 million, just three million less than the captain. He also recognized Devil Fruit’s powers, indicating his experience.
In the Grand Line, a 40-million bounty wasn’t for an ordinary pirate.
