One Piece Admiral Silver Fox - Chapter 65
Over the past half month, despite encountering several groups of pirates, they were mostly small fry with bounties around 40-50 million berries—still quite formidable. But now, suddenly facing such a significant pirate, even a Marine Vice Admiral might struggle, let alone Foxy’s current warship.
Under Captain Gott Di’s orders, the warship quickly changed direction, but it was too late. A whistling sound came from the other side. Foxy saw clearly: on the bow of the Waldo Pirate Ship, a burly man wearing a horned helmet, a black and yellow coat, with a green beard and a curved moustache, fired a shot casually towards the warship.
The bullet rapidly expanded mid-air into a massive, dark meteor, speeding up instantly and appearing before the warship, blocking out the sun. The sailors on the ship were terrified; if hit, the magnified bullet’s power would create a crater in the sea.
“Damn it…” Foxy felt the impending doom. This was beyond human resistance. With a grim face, Foxy decided to struggle one last time. A Slow-Slow Beam hit the enlarged bullet, visibly slowing it down.
“Hmm?” On the pirate ship, Waldo watched the bullet slow down and narrowly miss the warship. He was intrigued. “A Devil Fruit user!”
“Boom… Splash…” Once the slow effect wore off, the bullet crashed into the sea like a meteor, creating a massive crater, and the resulting storm threw the warship into the air, shattering it upon impact with the water.
Using Moonwalk, Foxy, Gott Di, and a lieutenant avoided the catastrophe, but most of the other sailors drowned, struggling in the sea.
“Swish!” Foxy’s instincts screamed danger. In a blink, a violent figure appeared before him—Waldo.
“Three Marines who know Moonwalk, and a kid.” Waldo stood mid-air, looking at Foxy and the others as if they were ants.
“World Breaker!” With a roar, Gott Di swung his giant blade at Waldo, who caught it effortlessly between two Haki-clad fingers.
“Crack…” With a snap, Gott Di’s chest collapsed, blood spurted from his orifices, and he crashed into the sea, sinking into oblivion.
An instant kill. Foxy couldn’t even see how Waldo attacked.
“Captain Gott Di!” The lieutenant’s eyes turned red with fury. Trembling, he charged at Waldo with his sword but was instantly turned into a bloody mist, his organs falling into the sea.
Danger. Extreme danger. Foxy felt a cold sweat as Waldo’s gaze fell on him.
“Swish…” Foxy’s Observation Haki couldn’t predict the attack. Waldo appeared before him, delivering a whip kick. There was no time to react, not even for a shave.
“Crack…” Foxy’s chest shattered, his eyes bulged with pain, and blood poured from his orifices as he was sent flying towards Alabasta, quickly disappearing into the distance.
Waldo was confident in his strength; a single kick was enough to kill a mere kid. After ensuring the warship was destroyed, Waldo disappeared, leaving the sea in his ship.
In the aftermath, all that remained were turbulent waves, wreckage, and shattered bodies. This was the brutal reality of the pirate world—a place of burning, looting, and murder.
Alabasta, a desert kingdom, was mostly covered in sand, with oases occupying less than one-tenth of its territory. Foxy crashed into a sandy slope like a meteor, tumbling before lying unconscious. His chest was caved in, his left hand and right leg broken, and his face covered in blood.
He was on the brink of death, barely clinging to life. An hour passed, then two, and Foxy still didn’t wake. His breathing grew weaker. A few vultures, known in Alabasta as deceit birds, circled overhead, looking for a chance to scavenge.
Suddenly, a head popped up from behind the slope—a peculiar duck with messy feathers, round eyes, an orange beak, and a small barrel with a straw around its neck. It sniffed the air, detecting the scent of blood.
Racing down the slope, the duck examined the unconscious Foxy, curious. It circled him, patting him with its wings, but Foxy remained unresponsive.
After a moment of thought, the duck darted off like a racecar, a yellow blur across the sand. Even the waves of the sea posed no obstacle; the duck ran on water as if it were flat ground.
It seemed to be searching for something. A look of surprise crossed its face as it found what it was looking for—a box with a red cross floating among the wreckage. Grabbing it in its beak, the duck sped back to the island.
