One Piece Admiral Silver Fox - Chapter 69
Nightfall. The starry sky descended, with the vast Milky Way stretching across the heavens, occasionally marked by shooting stars.
In the rocky desert area, a campfire blazed. A giant crab shell was overturned, with its massive legs resembling pillars, indicating abundant juicy meat.
A man and a duck were happily feasting, while some deceitful birds hovered nearby. Ever since this human could move, they had fresh food every day.
“The crab roe should be ready.”
Behind them lay the carcasses of three giant crabs. Foxy eyed the crab shell over the fire, specifically its most delectable part.
Donald Duck raised his head, his mouth full of food. He watched the bubbling delicacy inside the shell, the fragrant aroma making him drool from his orange-yellow beak.
“Quack.”
Donald Duck eagerly flapped his wings.
“It’s ready to eat.”
Ignoring the heat, Foxy placed the crab shell on the ground. The man and duck then leaned in to savour it.
“Burp!”
After finishing their meal, they lay flat on the ground, their bellies round and occasionally belching in satisfaction.
Donald Duck was very content, rubbing his belly with his wings and smacking his lips. He felt particularly happy during this period.
After resting for over ten minutes, Foxy stood up, dusting the sand off his pants. He stretched and gazed at the endless starry sky.
“Time to train.”
“Quack…”
Donald Duck lay on the ground, reluctant to move. Ever since Foxy started including him in his training three days ago, he had initially been enthusiastic but quickly grew exhausted.
“Get up and move around after eating.”
Foxy nudged Donald Duck’s fluffy behind with his foot, wanting him to become stronger.
In this world, many creatures were powerful, and some could even awaken Armament Haki. Foxy felt that Donald Duck had high potential.
“Quack.”
Donald Duck turned his head, glaring at Foxy in displeasure. He didn’t want to train.
“Don’t you want to fly in the sky? Look at me, I can fly without wings. If you train with me, you’ll be able to fly too. I’ve seen a duck like you fly and even generate electricity.”
Foxy used Moonwalk to hover in the air, winking at Donald Duck.
Foxy wasn’t lying. In the anime, there was indeed a duck that could fly and generate electricity. It was Billy the Duck from the Strong World movie, who played a significant role in helping Luffy defeat Shiki.
From their interactions, Foxy knew that one of Donald Duck’s many dreams was to fly freely in the sky.
“Quack.”
Donald Duck’s tuft of hair stood up instantly. He got up, questioning Foxy if it was true.
“I’m not lying. When there’s a chance, I’ll show you.”
Landing on the ground, Foxy patted Donald Duck’s head.
“Quack… quack…”
Flapping his wings, Donald Duck was very excited.
“Let’s start training then!”
Foxy began lifting a boulder the size of a small house, squatting and standing up as part of his training. Donald Duck, meanwhile, carried a rock the size of a bedroom on his back. Under the starry sky, man and duck trained together.
At Marineford, still, as majestic and solemn as ever, rows of ships were either docking or departing at the harbour, everything as usual.
A month had passed since the news of Foxy’s death.
On this sunny day, an unexpected guest appeared in the plaza of the main Marine building.
A man with a distinctive beard and a rough appearance stood there. Despite just standing, his presence exuded overwhelming power and fearlessness, though his face was eerily pale.
“Quite a sight.”
Looking up at the main building, the man walked in as if he owned the place, unnoticed by the passing Marines. The scene was uncanny.
The upper floors of the main building housed the offices of high-ranking Marines, such as Fleet Admiral Kong, the Admirals, and Vice Admirals.
In Admiral Sengoku’s office, Sengoku was engrossed in paperwork, with a sheep wearing a bell around its neck at his feet, chewing on unwanted documents like grass.
On the sofa, Garp was enjoying a bag of doughnuts noisily, much to Sengoku’s annoyance.
“Garp.”
Finally unable to bear it, Sengoku looked up, glaring at Garp, teeth gritted. “Go eat in your own office. Stop bothering me here.”
“Not unless you approve my leave. Otherwise, dream on.”
With his legs propped up, Garp slanted his eyes, making even more noise as he ate.
“Damn it, take that up with Fleet Admiral Kong.”
Slamming the table, Sengoku was furious, glaring at Garp. “You’re paying for all these doughnuts and rice crackers I bought.”
“I just came from Fleet Admiral Kong. He told me to come to you.”
Garp ignored Sengoku’s last words, acting naturally.
“Quite lively, huh?”
As Sengoku and Garp argued, a figure stood at the door, grinning broadly at the two.
Hearing the voice, Sengoku looked up, shocked and disbelieving.
Even Garp froze, the doughnut falling onto his lap unnoticed.
“Roger.”
An intense aura erupted, Sengoku radiating golden light, the surrounding furniture being blown away. The office was filled with black and red lightning.
As this overwhelming kingly presence appeared, the entire Marineford was alerted.
“Roger, how are you here?”
Garp’s expression turned serious, his presence also becoming intensely powerful.
“After all these years as rivals, no need to be so tense.”
Ignoring Sengoku’s Conqueror’s Haki, Roger walked to the sofa and poured himself some tea.
Sengoku’s face darkened, but he didn’t act rashly.
“Hey! What’s going on here?”
Outside, Kizaru formed a beam of light, his usually carefree face now serious as he looked at Roger on the sofa.
Fleet Admiral Kong, Tsuru, and Aokiji were also alerted.
“Pirate King Gol D. Roger.”
With a furious roar, the temperature rose sharply as Sakazuki attacked upon seeing Roger.
His entire right arm turned into a magma fist, aiming to engulf Roger.
The building shook, Sakazuki’s attack piercing through walls like paper, erupting outside like a meteor shower.
“Magma?”
“It’s Vice Admiral Sakazuki.”
Outside, the Marines watched the falling magma with alarm, focusing on the main building.
“Still so impulsive, Sakazuki.”
Hair standing on end, Sakazuki attacked again without thinking upon hearing the voice behind him.
“Hellhound.”
His arm turned into magma, forming a monstrous dog head that shook the air, lunging at Roger like a volcanic eruption.
“Bang!”
Magma splattered, the office exploding, black smoke rising as the top floor of the building began to collapse.
Roger blocked Sakazuki’s attack with one hand, a flicker of killing intent in his eyes.
Facing Roger’s gaze, Sakazuki felt as if he had fallen into an abyss, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead as he sensed the threat of death.
