One Piece: Almost Exposed That I Am Stronger Than Roger - Chapter 219
Chapter 219: Plan
“Little ones, move forward!” Whitebeard raised his bisento, pointing it towards Marineford’s execution platform. Accompanied by Whitebeard’s command, the Moby Dick set sail once again, charging heroically towards the inner square of Marineford.
Although he was surprised, Whitebeard had already mentally prepared himself to go all out, even if it meant sacrificing his own body. One individual, Solo, was not enough to make him abandon the idea of rescuing Ace.
Akainu, observing from below the execution platform, noticed the reactivated Moby Dick and the pirates struggling in the sea to reach the inner square. He knew that allowing them to succeed would only worsen the situation for the Navy.
“You pirates, don’t even think about succeeding!” Akainu shouted, his features contorted in anger. His arms transformed into hot magma, ready to engage in battle. At that moment, the calm and composed Admiral Akainu was about to lose his composure.
Simultaneously, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, who was guarding Ace, took a deep breath as he received a message. The Den Den Mushi’s transmissions had been severed, allowing him to initiate the second phase of the plan without any hindrance.
A thick copper wall emerged from Marineford’s square, sealing off the Whitebeard Pirates’ only escape route. Sengoku had never intended to let them go from the beginning. In the name of peace and the Marines’ justice, he had decided to wipe out the entire Whitebeard Pirates right there.
“Akainu it’s your turn,” Sengoku declared, his confidence greatly boosted. He believed that with the second phase initiated, the Whitebeard Pirates were now in a desperate situation.
Combined with the unexpected strength of Solo, Sengoku couldn’t fathom how they could escape unscathed.
“Meteor Volcano!” Akainu exclaimed, choosing to take action.
His fist, engulfed in magma, was not aimed at the pirates below but at the air itself. The enormous magma fist flew like a meteor, exploding and releasing countless pieces of magma toward the lake. The largest piece was directed at Whitebeard, aiming to punish the captain.
However, Whitebeard remained unfazed. Holding up his bisento, he resisted the falling magma, causing cracks to appear where the air and magma intersected.
With a tremendous bang, Whitebeard shattered Akainu’s attack, leaving both him and the Moby Dick unscathed.
The morale of the pirates surged, while Akainu’s expression darkened. He had thought his Meteor Volcano would eliminate Whitebeard, but now he realized that the man was far more powerful than he had imagined.
However, the pirates who remained in the sea were not as fortunate. The falling Meteor Volcano increased the seawater’s temperature several times, boiling it in some areas.
Many pirates were scalded and desperately tried to escape. Some were even killed by the meteor volcano. To Akainu, sacrificing some marine soldiers in pursuit of justice was acceptable, but Robin found it difficult to bear witness to such a scene.
Looking at Akainu with anger in her eyes, Robin wished she could eliminate him. However, she knew the vast gap in strength between them and how revealing her true identity would not only endanger herself but also Solo.
Remembering Solo, Robin quickly spotted him on the edge of Marineford’s inner square. Solo had jumped back into the battle after the ice shattered, signifying that the war had reached a white-hot stage.
However, due to the loss of Little Oars Jr., the feat the Whitebeard Pirates achieved in the original storyline—entering the inner square—had become extremely difficult.
Observing the situation, Solo contemplated the rising temperature of the lake caused by Akainu’s Meteor Volcano. He thought about the distinction between strong and weak Devil Fruits and the significance of individual strength.
Solo couldn’t help but express his dissatisfaction with Akainu’s actions, attacking his own allies to destroy the Whitebeard Pirates.
Despite the absence of Little Oars Jr.’s help, Whitebeard and the Moby Dick remained undeterred. Leading the charge, the Moby Dick crashed into Marineford’s iron wall with full force, followed by the other pirate ships, demonstrating their unwavering determination.
The heavy artillery prepared by the Marines and the relentless attacks from the Pacifistas couldn’t halt their progress. Eventually, the Moby Dick collided with the foremost iron wall, resulting in a resounding boom.
Whitebeard propelled himself into the air, wielding his bisento with both hands. Even Fleet Admiral Sengoku couldn’t help but change his expression upon witnessing this scene.
