Chapter 243: Ending Blackbeard
If it weren’t for Solo eating the Tremor Tremor Fruit, Blackbeard wouldn’t have wanted to kill the Marines here. His only goal was to obtain the Tremor Tremor Fruit and leave Marineford to head to the New World, aiming for the position of one of the Four Emperors.
But now, he had taken an interest in the Tremor Tremor Fruit and considered it a crucial part of his plans. However, it accidentally fell into the hands of the Marines, and Solo even ate it right in front of him!
“I don’t want to clash with the Marine forces here, but since it has come to this, there’s no other way,” Blackbeard muttered in a low voice, while keeping an eye on Sengoku and the high-level Marine combatants, such as the Admirals and Vice Admirals.
However, what Blackbeard didn’t expect was that when he finally attacked Solo, the Marines, including the Vice Admirals and Admirals, kept their distance and didn’t intervene in the conflict. Even Sengoku, the Fleet Admiral, remained indifferent and seemed to take a neutral stance. It was abnormal.
“What’s the matter with this group of Marines?”
Blackbeard couldn’t help but wonder. Nevertheless, he chose to attack Solo, thinking that it was not the time to be concerned about such things.
“Forget it, I can’t worry about so many things right now,” Blackbeard took a deep breath, alerting Sengoku while continuing his assault on Solo.
He used his Dark Dark Fruit ability to immobilize Solo’s feet and prevent him from escaping. At the same time, he launched a powerful kick toward Solo, intending to kill him and obtain the Tremor Tremor Fruit.
Blackbeard believed that with the Tremor Tremor Fruit, he would become the only person in the world with the ability to wield two Devil Fruit powers—a Logia and a Paramecia—and it would be enough to shock the world.
However…
In the face of the menacing Blackbeard, Solo’s expression didn’t show much turbulence. In fact, his current mindset seemed to be similar to Blackbeard’s. Immune to all damage, letting the power of the fruit dissipate. The title of the strongest Logia was well-deserved, and it was indeed a disastrous event for such fruit to fall into Blackbeard’s hands.
But most importantly, Solo couldn’t tolerate someone like Blackbeard, who had no morals and was willing to do anything to achieve his goals. How could Solo, as a Marine, tolerate that?
With these thoughts, Solo emanated a strong killing intent, like a dragon entrenched in Marineford. Even Blackbeard felt the aura reminiscent of Whitebeard emanating from Solo. For a moment, Blackbeard couldn’t help but swallow nervously, realizing that Solo was a powerful opponent.
But he quickly regained his composure. Obtaining the Tremor Tremor Fruit was just part of his plan, not the ultimate goal. If he couldn’t handle a Marine like Solo, how could he dominate the sea?
The most important thing was that he had brought the entire Blackbeard Pirate Crew to Marineford, fully prepared to fight against Whitebeard. He firmly believed that he could emerge victorious. How could he fear a Marine now?
“You’re good, but you’re still far behind compared to Whitebeard,” Blackbeard said, smirking confidently. He extended his hand, attempting to grab Solo. With the Dark Dark Fruit’s ability, he could nullify the effects of the Tremor Tremor Fruit and rely on his physical skills to fight. He was convinced he wouldn’t lose.
However…
“Shinra Tensei!”
Solo faced Blackbeard, his eyes quickly transforming into Reincarnation Eyes. A powerful aura radiated from him in all directions. The dark shockwaves released by Blackbeard’s Dark Dark Fruit were just elements, and as long as they were elements, they could be repelled by the Shinra Tensei.
In an instant, Solo returned to the inner square of Marineford, leaving Blackbeard even more perplexed. He couldn’t understand why Solo had managed to repel his secret shockwaves. How did he do that? It was different from how Whitebeard used the Tremor Tremor Fruitt.
But before Blackbeard could comprehend what was happening, Solo disappeared from his sight. The speed was so fast that even Blackbeard’s eyes couldn’t track his movements. Before he could react, Solo reappeared in front of him.
Solo unleashed Conqueror’s Haki, enveloping his sword and pointing it at Blackbeard’s chest. In an instant, a powerful sword energy burst forward, peeling away Blackbeard’s chest and causing blood to gush out.
Blackbeard was shocked and stumbled backward, but Solo was quicker. He swiftly thrust the Sakura wood into Blackbeard’s wrist, pinning him to the ground, and stepped on his other hand, gaining control over him.
“People who think they’re invincible after eating a Logia fruit usually don’t live long, Blackbeard,” Solo declared, crushing Blackbeard with his overwhelming strength.
He then grabbed Blackbeard’s fist and threw him behind him, mimicking Whitebeard’s actions. The surrounding air compressed around Solo’s fist, forming a white orb of power.
Solo, being a transmigrant, knew very well that by immobilizing Blackbeard’s hands, he would render him unable to use the power of the fruit. The battle was over, and with a single punch, Solo could end Blackbeard’s life.
Blackbeard realized the danger he was in and pleaded with his subordinates to save him. However, just as the Blackbeard Pirates moved to take action, Sengoku also made his move.
