Chapter 250: The Body Skill That Shocked Garp
Boom!
Marco felt a loud explosion in his ears, and then he was slammed to the ground by an immense force. It felt like his bones were falling apart, and the pain was excruciating.
“If it weren’t for me eating the Phoenix Fruit, I doubt I could withstand a direct attack from this Marine,” Marco gritted his teeth.
The pressure made his scalp numb. He wondered if Whitebeard had ever fought such a monster. Solo’s swordsmanship and physical prowess were beyond reason.
“This guy’s iron fist is even stronger than Garp’s,” Marco thought to himself. He burned with blue flames, healing his injuries and readying himself for another confrontation.
Just as he was about to fly towards the execution stand, Garp landed a direct hit on him. Then Sengoku slapped him as well. But now… Marco had a feeling that Solo’s physical skills surpassed both Garp and Sengoku.
“No, it’s not just his power. It’s his speed. How did he get behind me?” Marco mumbled, activating his Observation Haki to anticipate Solo’s attack.
However…
Before Marco could react, Solo appeared right in front of him. The speed was so fast that Marco’s Observation Haki couldn’t keep up. Solo grabbed Marco’s fist with five fingers, swiftly raised it, and swiped it across Marco’s face.
Marco’s line of sight witnessed the scene clearly, but he felt like the time around him had frozen. His body seemed paralyzed, unable to move even with Armament Haki for defense.
“How…?”
Marco’s pupils dilated in shock. He couldn’t comprehend what Solo had done to him. With the power of Whitebeard’s Tremor Tremor Fruit, Marco expected his physical abilities to be shock-based. But Solo’s punch was unlike any shock attack he had ever seen.
Another punch landed on Marco’s face, twisting his features together, breaking a tooth, and causing blood to spurt from his mouth and nose.
The impact sent Marco flying in the air like a broken kite, drawing a parabola before crashing heavily to the ground. He rolled several times before finally stopping.
The strength gap between the two was like dimensions apart.
“You…”
Marco clutched his face, shaking his head vigorously. The blue flames swept across his face, healing the bruises and stopping the bleeding. In an instant, Marco had fully recovered, but his expression was filled with shock.
“What did you do to me? I saw your attack, but I couldn’t move my body,” Marco questioned Solo, seeking an explanation.
Solo looked at Marco and tilted his head. “Me? I didn’t do anything. I just rushed in front of you and threw that punch,” he replied casually.
In truth, Solo hadn’t done anything extraordinary. He simply relied on the speed of his Eight Inner Gates technique to instantly reach Marco before his body could react. It was a straightforward punch that knocked him out.
“No, it’s impossible. I clearly…” Marco began to protest but was interrupted by Solo.
“There’s nothing impossible, Marco. Your reactions are too slow to keep up with my speed, that’s all,” Solo explained before rushing at Marco again.
The battle didn’t rely on abilities or tricks; it was purely a demonstration of speed. Even if Solo revealed the principle behind his attacks, Marco’s brain and body couldn’t respond in time.
However…
Marco was the second-in-command of the Whitebeard Pirates for a reason. Realizing that his Observation Haki couldn’t keep up with Solo, and his body couldn’t react in time, he took the initiative to launch an attack. He used his fruit ability to release a burst of blue flames, engulfing Solo and attempting to trap him.
To Marco’s surprise, Solo quickly encased his body in Armament Haki, significantly enhancing his defense. He effortlessly resisted Marco’s attack while standing amidst the flames. Then, he raised his right leg and delivered a ruthless kick to Marco’s abdomen.
Bang!
Accompanied by a loud noise, Marco’s body was sent flying once again.
Meanwhile, Garp watched the battle from a higher vantage point. As the most active Marine, Solo had naturally caught Garp’s attention. Seeing Marco take the initiative to confront Solo, creating an opportunity for Ace and Luffy, relieved Garp.
However, the one-sided nature of the battle between Marco and Solo puzzled Garp. He couldn’t understand how Solo’s body techniques could be so terrifying.
Solo’s speed surpassed even the Rokushiki’ Soru technique. Garp also noticed a unique green energy emanating from Solo, and he couldn’t fathom where he had learned such powerful and unusual moves.
Garp couldn’t help but think, “Solo, this little devil, his body art is even scarier than I thought. Is it possible that his physical skills are better than mine?”
Garp realized that Ace’s luck was truly terrible. He never imagined that a monster like Solo would suddenly appear on the Marines’ side.
