One Piece Devouring Fruit - Chapter 1
Can a single person’s life trajectory change the world significantly?
The butterfly effect is undoubtedly a well-known concept.
A tiny butterfly flutters its wings, disturbing the air. Over time, the minor air currents it causes might result in a storm in a distant place.
People later used this to metaphorize how small factors can lead to unpredictable and severe consequences.
So, can an ordinary person change the entire world?
The answer is yes, but only if you know what will happen. When an unexpected little butterfly flutters its wings in this world, it might set off a massive wave that shakes the earth.
However, Aburahamu Michion would rather not know all this and would instead not have come to this world.
Ocean Calendar Year 1495.
Somewhere in the Grand Line’s unknown regions lies an incredibly magical island.
Seagulls continuously circle and cry in the sky, and the salty sea breeze blows through. Michion can smell the unique ocean scent in the wind, even in the island’s center.
Compared to the raging sea, this place feels like a reassuring home.
Even in the worst weather, the land never submerges, allowing terrestrial creatures to survive and reproduce.
If asked where the world’s most violent weather is, everyone would unanimously answer: the New World in the latter half of the Grand Line.
It could be seen as regular oceanic weather changes if it were bad. After all, the ocean is always ruthless.
But the latter half of the Grand Line is infamous as a “hell” with unimaginable disasters.
Here, even if the sun is warm like spring one moment, a blizzard might arrive the next.
Hurricanes, tsunamis, hailstorms, dark tides, and thunderstorms—disasters unimaginable in variety and number.
On this unique sea, islands are as numerous as stars.
Coupled with the New World’s unpredictable weather, almost every island has its unique ecosystem.
Due to different environments, each island has distinct evolutionary paths for its creatures, creating unique micro-worlds.
Although Michion is on a remote island, fortunately, the weather here is mild and suitable for human survival.
The climate is favorable, and there is no worry about food.
This place is full of food, with ramen waterfalls, meatball trees, and juice fountains—unseen in his previous world but plentiful here.
This food-rich place feels like a paradise resort.
Of course, this excludes the island’s dangers….
The truth is, this island is a cluster of floating super-large carnivorous plants known as the Stomach Baron.
D delicious and enticing plants on the island grow everywhere, attracting numerous sea beasts and even ferocious Sea Kings.
The island looks like a blooming flower from the sky, with the center being the Stomach Baron’s mouth. When feeding, it closes its “petals,” trapping its prey inside.
Thus, a unique rule forms here: the outer parts of the island are more dangerous, while the inner parts are safer, as the creatures indulging in the abundant food become fat and less threatening.
Without great perseverance, this place is a one-way island.
But for Aburahamu, Michion, this might be a decent start, considering he reincarnated into a child captured by slavers.
The reason for ending up here is a rollercoaster story for Michion.
He only remembers the past two years, without knowing about earlier times.
Initially, this unlucky kid was just a petty thief, his identity marked only by a name tag around his neck.
One day, he stole from a drunken pirate, leading to his capture and being sold to a slaver for drinking money.
When Michion despaired at becoming a slave, the spit was attacked by a Navy ship led by a Rear Admiral.
In the ensuing chaos, Michion was beaten near death, allowing the soul of Zhang Michion from another world to cross over.
After being rescued, he took on the child’s name and spent his days watching the Marines train in Rokushiki.
The Marines didn’t guard against a kid, so he memorized the training methods for “Soru,” “Kami-e,” and “Tekkai.”
Knowing the dangers, Michion showcased his surgical skills during battles with pirates, gaining the Marines’ trust.
No one suspected that the five or six-year-old Aburahamu Michion housed an adult soul with mature thinking.
Though he only learned three Rokushiki techniques, he was satisfied, as joining the Marines seemed like a safe start.
However, this promising beginning turned tragic when the slaver’s protectors retaliated, leading to another battle with pirates.
During the chaos, Sea Kings, attracted by the aroma from the Boin Archipelago, attacked, forcing Michion to swim to the food-filled island.
Fortunately, the sea beasts and Sea Kings, satiated by the island’s food, ignored Michion, allowing him to reach the inner circle of the Boin Archipelago.
Michion couldn’t be happy despite the plentiful food and pleasant weather, as this wasn’t his original world.
Moreover, this place wasn’t as idyllic as it seemed!
As a fan of One Piece, Aburahamu Michion quickly identified the island filled with overfed creatures as Boin Archipelago, where Usopp once ended up!
