One Piece Dragon King - Chapter 14
Ace and Sabo were the same age. When they met Luffy, they were ten, and Luffy was seven.
It would be extremely interesting if old man Garp were to leave him next to Luffy.
Ace’s birthday was January 1st, Sabo’s was March 20th, and Luffy’s, of course, was May 5th, which happens to be Children’s Day for boys in Japan.
Hals was born on April 4th.
Luffy was the youngest.
Ace was the son of the Pirate King.
However, in the film “One Piece: Stampede,” there was a green-haired singer named Ann.
Ace’s mother, Rouge, had said that if the child was a boy, he would be named Ace, and if a girl, Ann.
So Ann could possibly be Ace’s older sister or younger sister.
Of course, if she had nothing to do with the Pirate King, that was also possible.
Hals walked alongside old man Garp.
“Hals, do you know what I’m here for?”
Old man Garp seemed very happy, perhaps because he had a new grandson today.
Hals thought it was best not to annoy the old man since he was now his grandfather. At least he wouldn’t say, “How would I know?”
“Going home to see your grandchildren?”
Hals looked at Garp.
“Negative Emotion from Garp +40,000”
The old man clutched his chest, looking very distressed.
Then…
He turned to stone…
Wow, this shouldn’t happen to old man Garp, should it?
Hals looked at the old man in surprise, his eyes wide.
“Why is the old man petrified?”
A few seconds later, the old man returned to normal.
“Yes, but I didn’t expect you to guess it.”
The old man’s face was calm as if he hadn’t just been petrified.
“Alright, I’ll introduce you to your new brother, Luffy.”
“Okay, grandpa.”

Hals naturally knew about Luffy. Besides not being strong, he didn’t have the comedic experience of the old man, but his pure goofiness was practically identical.
Oh, right, one captured the Pirate King, and the other became the future Pirate King.
Anyway, both were amazing.
Hals boarded the warship. Garp was very excited, introducing his new grandson to everyone and even lifting Hals up high. Unfortunately, Hals accidentally fell down.
“Thud—”
Hals landed on the deck, his eyes dazed, like a dried salted fish.
“Daijoubu (Are you okay), Hals?”
Garp was very worried about Hals. After all, this was his new grandson, whom he wanted to train to become the strongest marine.
“I’m fine.”
Hals rubbed his head. Luckily, his head was pretty hard, and he didn’t feel any pain.
But Hals felt like he had been tricked by the old man, probably as revenge for his earlier teasing.
Oh well, no matter, his head was hard.
The warship brought Garp and Hals to the vicinity of Foosha Village, and they walked to the village.
Maybe Garp didn’t want to alarm the villagers.
But Garp was a naval hero. Returning to his hometown shouldn’t cause any alarm.
The villagers welcomed him warmly, greeting old man Garp, while being curious about the kid next to him. The old man told them that this was his new grandson.
For some reason, that felt a bit strange.
Whatever, didn’t matter.
Then…
Old man Garp found Luffy, who was playing wildly somewhere, picked him up, and walked toward a forest. Hals looked at Luffy, who had already eaten the fruit and was wearing a straw hat, feeling speechless. Luffy curiously greeted Hals, but his head stretched because he had eaten the [Gomu Gomu no Mi].
Hals: “…”
Just his neck stretching.
Old man Garp seemed very angry, probably displeased with Luffy for playing wildly. His face was stern. He gave up after Luffy greeted Hals and saw him staring at his stretched neck.
“Grandpa, put me down.”
“Luffy, you’re going to be the strongest marine. You can’t just play all the time.”
“No, grandpa, I’m going to be the Pirate King.”
“Thud—”
A fist of love.
A lump formed on Luffy’s head, lifting his straw hat.
“Ow, grandpa, what are you doing?”
Garp didn’t explain, just delivering another fist of love.
“Ow, even though I’m a rubber man.”
Hals: “…”
Silly boy, you don’t know about Armament Haki.
Two lumps formed on Luffy’s head.
“It’s because grandpa’s fists are filled with his love for you, Luffy.”
“Grandpa…”
Luffy seemed to want to argue, but with another lump on his head, he fell silent, looking like a defeated salted fish.
Hals swallowed hard.
After walking for a while, the old man calmed down.
“Hals, this idiot is Luffy. Luffy, this is Hals, your new brother.”
Hals nodded. “Okay, grandpa.”
“Hi, Hals, I’m Luffy. I’m going to be the Pirate King.”
The cheerful goof seemed to forget the three lumps on his head, happily greeting Hals.
“Hi, Luffy.”
The cheerful goof earned a fourth lump.
“Idiot, Luffy, you’re going to be the strongest marine.”
“No, grandpa, I’m going to be the Pirate King.”
Hals: “…”
The old man seemed furious, his forehead veins bulging, his fist clenched, but he didn’t strike, just sighed. His grandson wasn’t sensible, but Hals seemed promising. Hopefully, he could steer Luffy back on track. He decided to let them live together for a while.
The cheerful goof noticed his grandpa didn’t give him a fifth lump and seemed very happy, dancing around. Hals didn’t understand what there was to be happy about.
The old man still carried Luffy, leading Hals to a very important place.
The bandit’s den.
“Luffy—”
A kid with a water pipe yelled anxiously from the front.
That was Ace.
Hals was a bit confused.
When the old man brought Luffy to the bandit’s den, Ace shouldn’t have known Luffy yet.
“By the way, Luffy, what were you doing just now?”
Hals asked the cheerful goof.
“I was still hungry after lunch, so I went to Makino’s for more food, then went to play.”
Luffy seemed embarrassed.
“Thud—”
Congratulations, future Pirate King, on your fifth lump.
