“By the way, Hals, what’s your Devil Fruit ability? Luffy has one too, but let me tell you, Luffy’s ability is trash.”
Ace’s expression was subtle, one Hals didn’t quite know how to describe.
Luffy: “……”
“Ace—”
Luffy shouted, his mouth wide open, eyes bulging, tears welling up as if he was deeply hurt.

Hals took off his clothes.

Although they didn’t know why they needed to stand back, everyone did. Sabo picked up Hals’ clothes.
Luffy walked over to Ace: “Ace, Hals’ thing is so big, much bigger than mine.”
Luffy gestured with his hands.
Ace’s face turned black.
Why did he take off his clothes? What’s the connection between using his ability and taking off clothes?
And that thing sure is long, but it’s just for going to the bathroom, why is it so long?
Actually, Hals didn’t know why his ability caused his clothes to rip.
Hals had tried it before; it was always the same.
Hals’ body began to grow, and scales formed on his skin. His head turned into a dragon’s head.

But he did know what Luffy was talking about, as seen in the Amazon Lily arc.

Luffy’s eyes sparkled.

Sabo agreed though he didn’t know what to say.
Ace: “……”
Ace’s head was filled with black lines.

It’s just for getting rid of body waste, so why is it so?

Ace didn’t seem well, and Luffy showed concern.
“Watch closely. Zoan-type Devil Fruits can enhance physical abilities, but because the power is too singular, it limits the fruit’s potential and growth. With enough training, you can achieve great things, but Zoan types are generally weak.”
“But Mythical Zoan types are different.”
“Mythical Zoan fruits can rival even the strongest Logia types, sometimes even surpassing them.”

Hals breathed out red flames at the captured crocodile. The crocodile, sensing danger, woke up and tried to flee, but the Dragon’s Breath was faster. Just as the crocodile tried to move, the breath hit it, roasting it within seconds.

“Dragon’s Breath: High-Pressure Water Cannon.”
Despite the grand names, they were just variations of fire, ice, lightning, wind, stone, and a high-pressure water jet.
Thunder Punishment was just a simple lightning attack, not divine punishment from the sky.
Great Wind Blast blew a crocodile into a tree, knocking it out.
The Mountain Rock breath produced a large rock for some reason.
High-Pressure Water Cannon was self-explanatory.
These were just basic skills, but Hals made them sound impressive.

Hals smiled, walking forward without saying much.
They quickly finished most of the crocodile, leaving enough for everyone at the bandit hideout. If it wasn’t enough, there were more crocodiles.
“But if we catch all the crocodiles, won’t it ruin the ecosystem? We won’t have any to eat later.”
Sabo, the smartest among them, said.
“Don’t worry, Sabo. The forest has other crocodiles. Even if they run out, there are other animals.”
Ace seemed indifferent.
Luffy didn’t think much about it, just focusing on eating.

Hals was speechless.
But he didn’t think too much either.
Because Hals had unlocked a new item.

But Luffy still looked sad, tears about to fall.

He always lost when sparring with his brothers, feeling helpless.
He couldn’t help much when getting food either.
Hals looked at Luffy, feeling he was still a baby despite being a happy fool in the future.

Hals walked over, patting Luffy’s head, oh, his straw hat.
“Luffy, it’s okay. You’re just not strong enough yet. Train hard, and you’ll become powerful. There’s no useless fruit, only useless users.”

Hals knew Luffy wouldn’t use this move in the future but felt it needed changing.
“Luffy, you can’t form a shield like that.”
Hals told Luffy.
“Huh—”
Luffy looked hurt.
“Your body can defend against most blunt weapons, thanks to the rubber, but not sharp ones.”
Luffy nodded, remembering being badly hurt by Bellamy’s spiked gloves.
“So you need to learn something called Armament Haki. But now, your body isn’t ready. I don’t know it either. Armament Haki lets you touch Logia users and increases hardness where it’s used. If your Haki is strong enough, you can block sharp weapons.”
“Oh~ Hals, how do I learn?”
“Now we can’t, but when we’re strong enough, we’ll find Grandpa Garp.”

They took most of the crocodiles back, Hals carrying five in dragon form.
The rest were divided among the other three.
They returned to the bandit hideout.
An unknown bandit on the lookout saw them coming back, with a giant dragon following.
“L-l-l-l-l-luffy and the others are back.”
The bandit shouted.
“So what?”
Dadan was angry. Garp had brought back another kid today. There were already two new kids, and now there was another one. It was annoying.
She pushed open the door, looking at the lookout bandit. If he didn’t have a good reason for waking her from her nap, he’d miss dinner.
“B-b-b-boss, Luffy and the others are back, but there’s a giant dragon behind them.”
The bandit pointed at them.
“Ha~ a dragon? Are you stupid? There are no dragons in the worl—”
Dadan turned around and saw.
“Negative emotion from Dadan +1000”
Probably the highest value.
“Ah—dragon—Luffy, Ace, Sabo, run!”
Dadan shouted.
Luffy: “……”
Sabo: “……”
Ace: “……”
Hals: “……”
What?
A dragon?

Luffy and the others shrugged at Hals, who shook his head.
Sabo: “What’s the old lady yelling about?”
That’s how Sabo referred to Dadan.
Ace: “No idea.”

They kept walking.

Sabo said.
“But Hals looked like a dragon… It’s normal for Dadan to be scared.”
Luffy replied.
