One Piece Dragon King - Chapter 26
The next day.
Because they were running out of food, Halse went out again to hunt with Ace and the others.
Halse didn’t want to take out his [Energy Potion].
Halse went out with the others.
“Dadan, we’re leaving,” Luffy said to Dadan.
“Old hag, we’re leaving,” said Sabo.
Ace said nothing, just walked silently. Halse waved with a smile.
They entered the forest.
They played for a while and then caught some animals.
Ace and the others came to another river.
“Ace, I want to eat crocodile rice,” Luffy said to Ace.
Halse wasn’t too particular about food. He didn’t mind. The [Energy Potion] was also delicious.
However, they looked around and didn’t find any crocodiles.
Although there were no crocodiles, there were other animals, like wild boars, and fish in the water.
They set their sights on the wild boar.
The wild boar seemed to sense their strange gazes and looked at them, noticing their fixed stares.
The wild boar instantly became angry.
Then it charged at the four of them.
“Negative emotion from wild boar +100”
It seemed like a good prey.
Halse rushed out first, directly colliding with the wild boar and punching it, sending it flying.
Unfortunately, he only had just over a hundred PowerPoints now, and he has not yet reached over two hundred. Otherwise, his dragon form would be even stronger.
What a pity.
The wild boar was knocked out and fainted.
“Negative emotion from wild boar +700”
Forget what I said earlier.
Halse looked at the others.
“This will be today’s lunch.”
“Halse, can you roast it? That crocodile rice from the other day was especially delicious,” Luffy asked.
There wasn’t even rice that day.
Fine, Halse already considered Luffy, his little brother. He took off his shirt, handed it to Sabo, and transformed into a dragon again, breathing dragon flames onto the wild boar.
Nearby animals scattered, frightened away.
“Negative emotion from rabbit +70”
“Negative emotion from squirrel +70”
“Negative emotion from rat +70”
“Negative emotion from field mouse +70”
“Negative emotion from hamster +70”
Please tell me how hamsters survive in such harsh wilderness, thank you.
Luffy excitedly rushed to the wild boar and started eating first.
Halse reverted to his human form, returned his clothes, and put them on.
“Slow down,” Ace said disapprovingly, trying to stop Luffy from gobbling down his food but decided against it since Halse, who caught the prey, didn’t say anything.
Halse wasn’t hungry.
Luffy only tasted a few bites and didn’t eat much more.
Then, they started skipping stones by the river.
Halse had no experience with skipping stones, so his stones sank to the bottom, but they went farther than Ace’s.
Ace felt like giving up watching Halse dominate in every aspect. Halse didn’t care but felt frustrated by his inability to skip stones, so he gave up.
Ace cheered up, as he usually dominated in such games.
Halse went to pick some fruits, placing them next to the wild boar. Halse tried a few, and they tasted good, probably because they were natural and very sweet. Despite not being treated with pesticides, none had bugs.
After a while, they caught a few beetles and placed them on a tree stump to have a beetle sumo match.
Halse was disdainful. He had no interest in playing with bugs and never found them fun, so he just stood by, unsure of what to do.
Thinking it over, he decided to take a nap.
Telling Ace and the others, Halse started meditating.
The others played happily, and an hour quickly passed.
Halse, feeling hungry, ate a small portion of the wild boar and was done.
Seeing Halse awake, the others realized how much time had passed.
“I don’t get what’s so fun about a few bugs,” Halse said, confused about why three stag beetles fought so fiercely when they met. Ace’s beetle seemed strong, easily defeating the others in single combat. Not long after, Luffy’s beetle fell, and Ace’s beetle was pushed down by Sabo’s beetle.
Sabo’s beetle won.
It seemed this was not just a contest of strength but a battle of wits.
Are you guys playing a battle royale?
In this game, only those who hide are the last winners.
It’s fun to watch people fight, then jump out to eliminate the last survivor.
You’re so powerful.
Ace looked at his beetle sadly.
The three didn’t continue the beetle sumo game; the beetles were tired too.
Ace and Sabo seemed embarrassed, like boasting about eating a 30-dollar ramen only to be told their friend spends 300,000 a day on meals, then being treated to a meal of that level.
Oh, I have no idea what expression to use.
Luffy found it very amusing, even though his beetle, like him, was weak and hardly won.
“Do you want to keep playing? If so, I’ll keep sleeping or go hunting,” Halse asked.
Ace wanted to keep playing, Sabo opted out, and Luffy chose to continue.
So Halse took Sabo away, leaving Ace and Luffy staring at each other.
Luffy’s beetle never won again, losing thoroughly.
Halse and Sabo wandered around, but Halse remembered the way, using the right-hand rule from playing Minecraft to mark a tree with a knife. Sabo watched without comment.
He remembered the way.
It was familiar to him.
Sabo didn’t understand what Halse was doing, and Halse couldn’t understand how Sabo and the others navigated the complex jungle.
Halse reminisced about playing a pirated version of Minecraft, then suddenly found the game box unusable and switched to Mini World.
His home computer wasn’t great, unable to handle many mods, so Halse didn’t bother much.
Soon, they encountered a big tiger.
Oh, it was the same one fed the [Pain Potion] before.
Sabo wanted to back off, as the tiger was too strong for him, but Halse’s odd expression, rubbing his hands and grinning, seemed strange.
Could Halse defeat the tiger?
