One Piece Dragon King - Chapter 27
Sabo was about to speak, suggesting he and Hals should leave, as they stood no chance against the giant tiger.
Of course, leaving wasn’t really an issue.
Mainly because Hals was quite powerful.
However, Hals rushed forward instead. Upon seeing Hals, the giant tiger actually got scared and tried to run away, but it was futile.
Hals seemed faster than the giant tiger. Large creatures often lack agility and speed, a basic concept in anime.
As the giant tiger turned its head, Hals was already above it, and he punched down.
“Boom—”
The tiger’s head was smashed into the ground in an instant. There was no gory scene of the head being severed, but the tiger’s forward escape was halted abruptly. Its head plowed through the dirt like a farmer’s tool.
The tiger felt something was off.
Although strong, this force didn’t match the overwhelming power that previously paralyzed it with a mere gaze.
Hals didn’t think much. If he couldn’t win, he would either tear his clothes off or use [Dragon Might].
[Dragon Might] was different from [Conqueror’s Haki].
[Conqueror’s Haki] was mainly used to clear the field and only caused fainting until it reached Shanks’ level, where it could damage objects. It showcased talent, indicating you were a qualified [Conqueror’s Haki] wielder with subordinates who would submit to you, nothing more.
The old man had only two of the three types of haki, while his friend Sengoku had all three.
[Dragon Might], on the other hand, could directly damage objects and intimidate creatures, achieving some effects of the [Gravity Fruit], though mastering such control would take time.
[Dragon Might] encompassed all of Hals’ abilities, making it a powerful force against living beings.
“Strong. Very strong.”
In front of Hals, the tiger was powerless and couldn’t resist at all.
But the tiger didn’t feel it was hopeless.
Although the figure before it was strong and fast, it wasn’t invincible. The tiger felt it still had a chance to escape.
The tiger lifted its head, preparing to attack Hals.
“Forget it, I’ll just finish you off.”
Hals didn’t consider using the tiger as a training partner. He unleashed [Dragon Might] directly on the tiger.
A terrifying pressure emanated from Hals. Sabo didn’t feel the fear, but he suddenly perceived Hals as a towering figure, someone he couldn’t match.
As for the tiger beneath Hals…
Are you pretending to be weak?
You’ve clearly become stronger, haven’t you?
After a few seconds of Hals’ [Dragon Might], the tiger fainted.
“This will be our food for the next few days.”
Dragging the tiger, Hals walked towards Sabo.
Hals seemed to be contemplating something. After a moment, he gave his clothes to Sabo for safekeeping, transformed into a dragon, and punched the tiger’s neck.
“Crack.”
Done.
Sabo felt a chill down his spine. He naturally understood what Hals had just done.
After putting on his clothes, Hals dragged the tiger away.
Sabo and Hals returned to Ace and Luffy, who seemed a bit bored. While Hals and Sabo were out hunting, Ace took Luffy fishing and gathered some fruits. Hals enjoyed meat but also ate vegetables and fruits for a balanced diet.
Ace and Luffy had caught some wild boars.
Soon, Hals returned with a giant tiger, its head alone being two to three meters high.
The two were speechless.
They all returned to the bandit’s hideout.
Dadan was very happy, perhaps because of the increased food supply, or maybe she felt like she had become the leader of these kids. Look, Garp, your three grandsons are…
Are…
Nothing.
Dadan couldn’t say it out loud. If Garp showed up suddenly, she might get beaten up.
The possibility of Garp’s sudden appearance made Dadan recall when he brought Hals.
At least Garp didn’t do that. Good.
Everyone had just finished lunch. The four kids didn’t need to eat much since they had already eaten earlier. Hals asked Luffy to help him find a place where no creatures would disturb him.
Luffy: “……..”
What a headache.
Luffy didn’t know why Hals needed such a place, but since Hals needed it, he would help.
Hals couldn’t use earth magic to build himself a creature-proof house so that he couldn’t practice body cultivation freely. He used to practice secretly in the bathroom, pretending to take long baths.
The fear of being interrupted was unpleasant.
After discussing this, Ace finds a suitable place for Hals—a cliff with no creatures nearby. Ace hadn’t seen any giant sea kings from the cliff either.
But the cliff was a bit far. Not too far, but walking there took some effort, so only one person knew about it.
Hals happily asked Ace to lead the way, and the other two followed.
“By the way, Hals, why do you need a secluded place?”
Hals felt a headache. Should he tell you he wanted to practice body cultivation and bleed all over, then drink a [Healing Potion] and say he was just a bit anemic and hungry?
Ace looked at Hals, who seemed troubled and didn’t press further.
“Alright, if you don’t want to say, it’s fine. I just hope you’re not planning anything harmful to us or the bandits.”
“No, nothing like that.”
Hals was confident since he wasn’t lying.
Ace watched Hals, seeing his confidence. Hals was Garp’s adopted kid, and the four were friends, so there was no worry.
At least, not enough to tell Garp.
