One Piece Dragon King - Chapter 50
Hals took his bowls to a corner and began eating his meal.
“Uh… who is that guy?” the male naval officer asked.
To be honest, it’s quite rare to see a seaman recruit at Marine Headquarters, as most of the personnel here are elites. If they were weak, they would have started their training at other Marine branches.
The male naval officer’s question was met with silence.
“You could try taking his food. Maybe if you ask him who he is and then let him eat, he’ll tell you,” suggested the female naval officer.
The male officer thought about it and decided it wasn’t a bad idea as long as Hals didn’t answer him.
People nearby immediately made space, seemingly afraid of something.
The two officers didn’t understand the situation but didn’t think too much about it. The male officer decided to take a risk.
He walked over to Hals, who was focused on his food and did not notice the two officers or the people around him.
“Hey… who are you?” the male officer asked.
Hals didn’t hear him and continued eating.
The officer felt awkward, being new to the area and unfamiliar with the people. Despite Hals being a seaman recruit, other higher-ranking individuals seemed to fear or respect him, not treating him like a typical recruit.
“Hey, brat, I’m talking to you,” the officer said, pushing Hals, but Hals didn’t budge.

Hals ignored the officer and continued eating, too hungry to pay attention, even to the system’s notifications.
Every training session consumed a lot of energy, requiring a substantial amount of food.
But even with this, Hals couldn’t be easily moved. Someone with less than 1000 Doriki couldn’t possibly push him.
Despite possibly knowing all of the Six Powers, including Life Return and Rokushiki Secret Technique, Hals could easily kill him without using his Devil Fruit ability.
At Enies Lobby, only Luffy learned Soru; the others defeated CP9 members without mastering the Six Powers.
Body techniques merely maximize one’s physical energy; they’re not essential.
Hals wanted to master body techniques to fully utilize his body’s energy.
“Hey, brat, I’m talking to you. If you ignore me and just eat, then I’ll…” the officer threatened.
“Negative Emotions from a Naval Officer +5000”
The officer’s hair began to twist like Vice Admiral Onigumo’s, grabbing multiple swords.
“Life Return.”
His hair extended, growing long, and aimed at Hals’ bowls of curry.
“Stop eating.”

Hals had sharp combat instincts. Although he hadn’t attended Zephyr’s combat training recently, he needed life-and-death battles to further improve. His combat instincts were far superior to the officer’s.
Zephyr’s training involved challenging Hals with stronger opponents, teaching him to think and strategize to defeat stronger foes.
But this guy… wasn’t strong at all.
Hals abruptly looked up, his eyes radiating a terrifying aura, like a massive dragon soaring in the sky. A fierce wind burst from him, cracking the ground beneath him in a web-like pattern. The surrounding people were shocked, rarely witnessing such power. The phenomenon stopped quickly, confined to Hals’ vicinity.
“Dragon’s Intimidation.”
The naval officer fainted, his entire body crushed as if under Fujitora’s gravity.
“Negative Emotions from a Naval Officer +6000”
Dragon’s Intimidation had a tangible effect, unlike Conqueror’s Haki, which could only harm objects at a high mastery level.
In the past year, Hals had refined his control over Dragon’s Intimidation, mastering it to 10%.
However, it primarily cleared weak enemies, effective against those weaker than him but merely a breeze to stronger foes.
At 10%, Hals could control Dragon’s Intimidation better, but its power depended on his combat strength.
The officer, now unconscious, retracted his hair, lying on the ground like a dried fish.
“A guy who knows Life Return from the Six Powers thinks he’s strong. It’s laughable. I could kill you without using the Six Powers or my Devil Fruit ability,” Hals said, standing up.
“He’s already fainted, so no need for a lecture.”
Mastering Life Return required proficiency in all Six Powers, making one a genius.
But this guy was weak.
With over 10,000 Doriki, one could make a name for themselves in the New World.
Hals sat back down to eat, using wind magic to hold himself up since his chair broke.
“Such a terrifying aura, even scarier than Conqueror’s Haki,” said a strange, middle-aged man in a traditional room, looking towards the mess hall.
“No, it’s different. It’s more brutal than Conqueror’s Haki. Truly terrifying.”
The man, Kizaru, an admiral of the Marines, appeared nonchalant despite his words.
“Better go check it out. Yata no Kagami.”
A large yellow mirror appeared in Kizaru’s hand, not for reflection but for transportation.
This was the ability of the Glint-Glint Fruit.
“Boom—”
Kizaru crashed into the door.
“Who left the door open?” he grumbled as a janitor closed it and mopped the floor.
MVP—The Janitor
Kizaru: “…”

“Negative Emotions from…”
What’s going on? Did Zephyr praise me while scolding Kizaru?
