One Piece: I Can Simplify Skills - Chapter 44
“Thank you!” Olvia quickly expressed her gratitude. Meanwhile, Rokujins, while steering, used his Observation Haki to sense the changes around them. Robin had taken a straight path across the sea, crafted by Aokiji’s ability, so they could find her trail by carefully sensing the aura of ice. About half an hour later, they spotted a small boat ahead. In it was Robin, rowing continuously, her face tear-stained and sobbing, rowing almost subconsciously.
“Whimper…”
“Robin!” Instantly, Olvia’s eyes reddened, and tears began to swirl in her eyes. She wanted to comfort Robin and tell her she was alright. However, the last shred of reason told her she couldn’t approach. It wouldn’t be long before Robin saw reports of her still alive! Moments later, Olvia wiped the tears from her eyes and said, “Let’s go.”
“Where will you go?” Rokujins asked.
“I…” Olvia hesitated. Finally, she looked at the man before her, lowered her head, and asked with a hint of plea, “Can I stay by your side?”
“Sure, I do need a helper,” Rokujins agreed. Since the system wanted him to save Olvia, it implied that Olvia was valuable. Providing her with a refuge might also benefit him.
“Thank you!” Olvia nodded slightly in gratitude.
“Alright.” Thus, Rokujins took Olvia back to Kuraigana Island.
…Half a month later.
The two returned to Kuraigana Island. Hawkeye had already left, leaving only a note saying he would return in a year. Rokujins, looking at the note, shook his head, “Why do I feel like this teacher isn’t responsible? Was it the same when he taught Zoro?”
“Is this the ruins of the Kingdom of West Kai Ali?” Suddenly, an excited Olvia ran over, holding a few items she had found in the ruins.
“I don’t know, I’m just staying here for now,” Rokujins said. He didn’t know nor cared much about the name of a fallen kingdom.
“Okay!” Olvia nodded, but her excitement was palpable. On this island, she could begin her research. Rokujins removed his black robe and instructed, “Don’t go too far from the castle, or you might encounter armed baboons.”
“There’s a field behind the castle; take care of it when possible. The basement has stores of wine and meat; just make some food for me daily.”
“If you want to go out, remember to tell me.”
“With me here, those baboons wouldn’t dare to make a move!”
When Olvia looked at Rokujins, she froze, forgetting to speak: “You…”
“Me? What about me?”
“Did you remember everything I just told you?” Rokujins asked again.
“Ah! Yes!” At that moment, Olvia realised her lapse. She was shocked by Rokujins’s face; the person who saved her was just a teenager. No, perhaps a bit older, like a younger brother. She was living in the ruins of the Kingdom of West Kai Ali and being so powerful. What exactly was his identity? Not the Navy, for sure. A pirate? Possibly. A Celestial Dragon? Impossible. A commoner? Maybe…
Meanwhile, Rokujins went downstairs to train. In a year, when Hawkeye returned, he was determined to take a strike from him. Now, with Olvia cooking, he could save a lot of time for training.
A few days later, a News Coo delivered the latest newspaper, which discussed the incident at Ohara. However, the newspaper did not mention Olvia’s escape but reported her death instead. Likely, it was to conceal something or warn others worldwide. The absence of news about Olvia’s escape in the paper did not mean there was no bounty for her within the Navy. Robin joining Crocodile’s forces might have been using their intelligence network to find out news about Olvia and see if anyone else had survived.
Additionally, the newspaper featured news about the man in black, even offering a bounty. A hundred million berries! His first bounty was a hundred million berries! Rokujins stared at the string of zeros, baffled, “Am I really that strong?”
Then Olvia also saw the newspaper but wasn’t too saddened, feeling it might be good for Robin to think she was gone. Thus, Rokujins began a year of training on Kuraigana Island. During this time, Olvia had Rokujins take her on adventures to find historical relics related to the Kingdom of West Kai Ali…
…On Amazon, Lily, Boa Hancock’s grandmother, Gloriosa, was
Laughing while reading the newspaper, “That Navy kid even picked a name, ‘The Night!'”
“Who? Is it Rokujins, brother?” Hancock immediately ran over and snatched the newspaper from her hands. She saw the silhouette of the man in black, and instantly, her eyes sparkled with love, giggling, “It is Rokujins brother. He’s out helping people again!”
“Rokujins brother is the best!”
…At Navy Headquarters.
“That brat, a hundred million for his first bounty, he isn’t afraid of death. Let’s see how I discipline him when he comes back!”
Garp was picking his nose, fuming. While Rokujins was training, far away in East Blue’s Foosha Village, Ace had already set out to sea. He formed the Spade Pirates and later challenged crews like the Red Hair Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates… One year later, on Kuraigana Island, a shirtless figure stood in front of the castle gate, swinging his sword repeatedly without stopping. Sweat dripped down his arms, but some of it was split into two by an invisible sword aura before it could even touch the blade, falling to the ground as separate drops.
“Rokujins! Time to eat!” Olvia called out from a window on the rooftop, waving her hand and shouting.
“Coming!” Hearing her, Rokujins turned and headed upstairs. The spot he had been standing in showed two deep footprints, and in front of the footprints, there was a trench several meters long. Such scenes were the results of Rokujins’ year of training!
Rokujins and Olvia were chatting and laughing while eating upstairs in the dining room. A year of living together had made them quite familiar with each other. As for Rokujins’ identity, Olvia had never asked; she quietly stayed by his side.
Suddenly, a familiar sensation washed over him. Rokujins immediately put down his utensils and said cacalcalmlya, get ready. We might have to leave soon.”
“Leave?” Hearing this, Olvia was initially startled, then quickly went to her room to pack. She would unconditionally trust anything Rokujins said.
