One Piece: I Can Simplify Skills - Chapter 45
Rokujins picked up the Black Blade beside the table, descended the stairs, and left the castle. Hawk Eye was already waiting in the clearing. Seeing Rokujins emerge, he smiled and said, “You’re out. Are you confident you can take my full power strike?” The strike from a year ago wasn’t his full power.
“Come on!” Rokujins slowly drew the Black Blade. The blade was now significantly darker and shinier, clearly on the verge of becoming a black sword.
“You’ve grown stronger, and so has your sword!” Hawk Eye nodded, his sharp and cold gaze expressing a hint of satisfaction. He could feel the intense sword intent and battle spirit emanating from Rokujins. After just over a year of training, he reached such strength. His talent was indeed formidable!
“Thank you!” Rokujins sincerely thanked him. This was both for the compliment and for Hawk Eye teaching him swordsmanship.
“Take this strike!” Without much further talk, Hawk Eye drew his supreme-grade sword, the black blade Yoru. Lifting his right hand, he raised Yoru. His gaze was sharp, and his whole body radiated an overwhelming sword intent and aura, like a mighty torrential tiger. The aura released was far more potent than a year ago.
“So strong!” Just observing, Rokujins already felt the pressure. But he would not show any fear. His eyes narrowed, releasing Conqueror’s Haki and his sword intent. Numerous Haki gathered towards the Black Blade, covering it and wrapping around the blade, sparkling with red arcs, making a crackling sound.
Unlike Hawk Eye, whose sword intent was released outward, Rokujins’s intent, like his Haki, concentrated on the Black Blade. Small, yet mighty!
Soon, Hawk Eye noticed his anomaly and gently swung down Yoru. What appeared to be a gentle strike was a powerful white slash. The slash tore through the air, flying swiftly towards Rokujins’s position.
“Heh, heh!” Rokujins chuckled softly, not using sword techniques but instead choosing to do something like Hawk Eye. Holding the sword with both hands, he performed a simple horizontal slash. Instantly, a red slash flew out. It was not just a slash; it also carried Rokujins’s white aura and still sparkled with red arcs.
The two slashes collided.
“Boom!” With a loud bang, the ground started to cave in at the point of impact, creating a pattern like a tortoise shell. Brilliant white and red lights burst out and spread to the surroundings. A mighty wind swept around them, the affected area spanning at least a kilometre!
“What’s happening?” Olvia walked to the window to check, only seeing the dazzling white and red lights in the distance. And in the middle of that sword light, there were two dark figures.
Moments later. The sword light dispersed, and the ground was left in disarray.
“Puh!” Rokujins stood in place, suddenly spitting out a mouthful of blood. But he still clenched his teeth and stood firm! It had to be said Hawk Eye’s single-sword attack was indeed strong, and even with his current strength, Rokujins could only manage to receive it.
Hawk Eye sheathed his sword and walked back towards the castle without looking back, “Alright, you can leave now!”
“Thank you, Teacher!” Saying this, Rokujins deeply bowed in the direction Hawk Eye had left. No matter what, the man had taught him swordsmanship. And having such a teacher, who would dare to bully him in the future?
“Heh, heh!” A slight smile appeared on Hawk Eye’s lips. Although he didn’t respond, it was as good as an acknowledgement.
Shortly after, Olvia ran out from the castle, handing Rokujins his clothes, and asked concernedly, “Are you alright? Who was that person? So strong!”
“My swordsmanship teacher,” Rokujins replied while getting dressed.
“Oh!” “Let’s go!” Once dressed, Rokujins led Olvia away. However, he did not plan to return to Navy Headquarters, so he returned to East Blue.
Firstly, bringing Olvia to Navy Headquarters was akin to seeking death. Secondly, it had been many years since he had seen Luffy and Ace, and he needed clarification about their situations. He planned to go back and check on them. On the way, he would also think about where to settle Olvia.
Rokujins lay on the boat, leisurely looking up at the sky, idly opening the system interface:
?Host: Rokujins?
?Level: A?
?Position: Ensign?
?Skills: Swordsmanship (A+), Sword Intent (A-), Physical Arts (B), Conqueror’s Haki (A+
), Armament Haki (A+), Observation Haki (A), Navy Six Powers – Shave (A), Storm Leg (A-), Moon Step (A-), Cooking (B)?
?Talent: Simplifying Skills?
?Energy: 13?
?Berries: 41.9 million?
His strength had increased significantly, and he had just completed another task. ?Ding, congratulations to the host for completing a task: Energy points +2, large sword +1, sword technique +1!? The system awarded him a new large sword, its scabbard and handle both red with a maple leaf pattern. Thus, Rokujins named the new large sword Maple.
“Rokujins, can this boat make it to the East Blue?” Olvia asked worriedly.
Rokujins smiled, “Don’t worry. The path becomes clear when the bridge is near. There’s always a way.”
He also considered owning his ship; always going out in a small boat was inconvenient.
We need to get a better boat. … A few days later. The ship carrying Rokujins and Olvia encountered a storm. The boat became so damaged that they had to take refuge on a raft made from patched-up planks temporarily.
“You say it’s not you with the crow’s mouth, yet our boat broke down just a few days after you mentioned it!” Rokujins said helplessly.
“Hmph! It’s not like I did it on purpose,” Olvia huffed, turning her head away. Suddenly, she caught sight of numerous vague ship silhouettes ahead and frowned slightly, “Rokujins, are those pirate ships over there? Why are there so many?”
“Oh?” Rokujins followed Olvia’s gaze. To the left were dozens of warships, including one massive ship with three decks and a black panther head on the prow. After a moment of thought, Rokujins finally recalled whose ship it was, murmuring, “It’s the Krieg Pirate Fleet!”
Known as the overlord of the East Blue, this pirate crew owns 50 ships. Though dubbed the strongest in the East Blue, they’re fragile, unimaginably so!
“Stay here. Our ship is coming!” Rokujins said with a grin curling at the corner of his mouth.
“Huh?” Watching Rokujins quickly walk away, Olvia looked puzzled. Soon, she realised something, and a meaningful smile appeared on her lips. He’s quite the character! …
Meanwhile, aboard the Dreadnaught Sabre. A pirate noticed Rokujins approaching and immediately ran to report to Captain Krieg, “Captain! Someone is coming towards us!”
