One Piece: I Can Simplify Skills - Chapter 53
### Chapter 53: Leaving Sky Island! Bring It On!
Among those chasing them was a familiar face, Gan Fall! No wonder Kurike and his crew were no match for them! Combined with the strange dials used by the Sky Islanders, they had no choice but to flee.
“How did you get into trouble with them?” Rokujin frowned. Just as he was about to step in to help, the system notification popped up.
?Ding, help Kurike and his crew escape. System reward: +2 Energy Points!?
Seeing the system message solidified Rokujin’s decision to help. Drawing his long sword, Maple Leaf, he shouted to Kurike and his crew, “Hey! Get down!”
“It’s Rokujin!” Kurike looked up, puzzled, not understanding why Rokujin wanted them to get down. Seeing the familiar sword in Rokujin’s hand, he recalled Rokujin’s terrifying sword strike and immediately shouted to his crew, “Get down! Everyone get down!”
“Yes, boss!” The Orangutan Pirate Crew, seeing their captain drop to the ground, followed suit. Some even crawled on the ground.
At that moment, Rokujin unleashed a powerful sword strike filled with sword intent. The sword light flashed, and the sharp energy cut through the air, flying straight towards the pursuing Sky Islanders.
“Watch out!” Gan Fall’s face changed dramatically. He leaped from his mount, moving in front of the group. Wielding his spear and using a Slash Dial, he attempted to block Rokujin’s attack. Unfortunately, the slash from the dial was instantly cut in half by Rokujin’s sword energy, rendering it useless.
“Clang!” Gan Fall could only use his body to take the impact of Rokujin’s sword energy. The powerful force sent him flying like a cannonball, crashing through several trees before he could barely stabilize himself. “Ugh!” Gan Fall clutched his chest, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
“Quick! Get on the ship!” Kurike immediately ordered his crew to leave. The other Sky Islanders dared not pursue warily watching Rokujin. Some of them tended to Gan Fall.
“God! Are you okay?”
“Are you hurt?”
“…”
Gan Fall, enduring the pain, waved them off. “I’m fine!” He hadn’t expected that young Blue Sea person to be so strong! Last time, he had sensed it was best not to provoke him, as anyone who could reach Sky Island using the upward current was no weakling. But to think he was so strong, he couldn’t even take one of his sword strikes!
Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him. “Hey, old man, give me a pass for the Cloud Road, or I’ll deal with you all on the way,” Rokujin said seriously. It was only then that everyone realized someone had appeared before them. They quickly stepped aside, pointing their weapons at Rokujin.
But Rokujin’s face showed no fear, only cold indifference. “What? Do you want to die?” he asked. Hearing this, the Sky Islanders stepped back in fear.
“Stop! You are no match for him!” Gan Fall quickly intervened, pulling out a pass from his pocket. “Here’s the pass, now leave!”
“Thanks!” Rokujin waved and turned to leave. The Sky Islanders could only watch as he walked away.
Returning to the ship, Rokujin called Kurike to leave and inquired about what they had been up to. It turned out they had also gone to Shandora and gathered evidence proving the existence of the City of Gold. This had attracted the attention of the priests, leading to their pursuit.
After sailing for half an hour on the Cloud Sea, they approached a gateway, the exit from Sky Island. Passing through the gate led to a rapid descent down a winding Cloud Road, ending in a straight drop. Fortunately, with the pass, they used the whistle to summon two octopuses to hold their ships, allowing for a slow descent.
After several days of drifting, the two ships finally reached the ground, some distance from Jaya Island. Rokujin didn’t accompany Kurike back. After saying goodbye, he had his crew set sail for Marine Headquarters. It was time to return after being away for so long.
Meanwhile, at Marine Headquarters. “That brat has been out of Mohawk’s place for a while and hasn’t returned yet. What’s he doing in the East Blue?” Garp grumbled, eating donuts and reading the newspaper about Rokujin defeating the East Blue’s Claw Pirate crew.
Over half a month later, Rokujin finally returned to Marine Headquarters. He avoided Garp and went straight to the Elite Training Camp. Zephyr was conducting combat training with the trainees, pairing them up for sparring until one conceded.
“Teacher! I’m back!” Rokujin walked briskly, standing straight and respectful. Everyone stopped fighting and looked toward the familiar voice.
“Rokujin! You brat, you’ve been out training for two years and finally returned!” Zephyr smiled, scrutinizing Rokujin. He could tell Rokujin had changed, his aura more controlled, almost like an ordinary person, signifying significant improvement.
Rokujin responded, “You flatter me, teacher!”
When Rokujin finished speaking, Zephyr approached the training area and asked, “Who wants to spar with Rokujin? Step forward!”
“Teacher, I want to fight Rokujin!”
“Teacher, I also want to fight Rokujin!”
“Teacher, count me in too!”
“…”
Several people stepped forward immediately. Among them, Rokujin recognized three: Smoker, Barton, and Ain. ‘Since when did I become so popular?’ Rokujin wondered, surprised. At that moment, the system popped up a mission notification.
?Ding, congratulations to the host for triggering a mission: Defeat all challengers or make all challengers give up. System reward: +2 Energy Points, +1 Fruit Development Skill Level!?
Zephyr smiled and said, “Alright, Rokujin, it’s your turn to choose an opponent. Even though you’ve just returned, you must quickly adapt to our training rhythm!”
“Teacher, you’re giving me special treatment!” Rokujin knew Zephyr’s intentions. He wanted to test Rokujin’s strength and challenge the other trainees. Zephyr was undoubtedly a great teacher!
“Hurry up, don’t dawdle!” Zephyr urged.
“Alright!” Rokujin nodded and looked at the five people who had stepped forward. They were all at B-level strength, with varying degrees of power. Among them was Ain, whose Return-Return Fruit ability was particularly troublesome. The strongest was Smoker, at B+ level. After silence, Rokujin said seriously, “All five of you, come at me together!”
“What? Has he lost his mind?”
“Rokujin, did you say that? We’re five people. Do you think you can take on all five of us?”
“You’d better think it over!”
“…”
The entire crowd was stunned by Rokujin’s declaration!
