One Piece: I Can Simplify Skills - Chapter 61
### Chapter 61: Rear Admiral! Final Assignment!
After confirming Weevil’s death, Zephyr walked over to Rokujin with a smile. “You figured out that Bakkin was a Devil Fruit user from the start, didn’t you?”
“Yes.” Rokujin nodded, his eyes fixed on the system notification.
?Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the mission. Reward: 20 energy points and a Supreme Grade Sword!?
Twenty energy points! And a Supreme Grade Sword!
“Rokujin? Rokujin! Are you alright?” Zephyr patted Rokujin’s shoulder, frowning. He had been talking for a while, but Rokujin seemed unresponsive.
“Ah! Teacher, what did you say?” Rokujin snapped back to reality.
“It’s good that you’re alright. I said the credit for killing Weevil goes to you. The accolades are all yours!”
“Teacher, that’s not right. It wasn’t just my effort,” Rokujin replied.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m old now. Do you expect me to become the Fleet Admiral?” Zephyr laughed.
“Thank you, Teacher!”
“You deserve this merit,” Zephyr nodded approvingly. Among his many students, Rokujin was one of the most outstanding.
The Marines began cleaning up the battlefield, taking the heads of the key pirates and heading back to Marine Headquarters for a rest. Rokujin took the opportunity to rest in the cabin and pulled out the Supreme Grade Sword from the system’s backpack. The blade was entirely red, like fresh blood, and had a name: Zhan Tian. It appeared without an edge but exuded a chilling aura and a slight heat. A fine sword indeed!
Moreover, the recent battle had significantly boosted Rokujin’s abilities.

…
A few days later, the internship ship returned to Marine Headquarters. News of Rokujin killing Weevil and his mother had already reached Marine Headquarters, and everyone was speculating whether it was indeed Rokujin who had done it. Despite some suspicion that Zephyr might have been the one to kill them, the Admiral wouldn’t lie, and there were many Marines present who witnessed it.
As soon as Rokujin stepped off the internship ship, he became the center of attention again.
“It’s Lieutenant Rokujin!”
“Not for long. He’ll be promoted to Rear Admiral this time!”
“Yeah! I never thought someone fresh from the elite training camp would become a Rear Admiral. He’s the first, right?”
“…”
Rokujin heard the discussions but said nothing, walking forward with a smile. Suddenly, Ain approached him quietly, “Hey! Rokujin, they’re all talking about you!”
“Yeah, let them talk,” Rokujin smiled.
“Hehe!” Ain chuckled, then continued, “If you become a Rear Admiral, we might be assigned to serve under you.”
“Really?” Rokujin asked.
“Yes! The Navy usually assigns most people from the same batch together to ensure familiarity and smooth operations,” Ain explained.
“Oh, I see,” Rokujin nodded. He still didn’t know whether he would stay at Marine Headquarters or be assigned elsewhere. Just as he reached his office, he saw Garp waiting for him.
“Grandpa? What are you doing here?”
“You little brat! You’ve caused trouble again!” Garp punched Rokujin on the head, scolding him.
“I…,” Rokujin winced, holding his head. “Grandpa, that hurts! But I’m fine, right?”
“Hmph! Those Weevil and Bakkin are no joke. Don’t be reckless next time!” Garp warned.
“Yes, Grandpa!” Rokujin nodded earnestly. Then Garp handed him a new Marine cloak with a serious expression. “You’ve been promoted to Rear Admiral, but you’re being assigned back to the East Blue!”
“I don’t know what those old fools at the top are thinking, sending you to the East Blue. Even Sengoku agreed to it!” Garp ranted.
“Grandpa, it’s fine. I can still travel. I’ll go wherever I want!” Rokujin smiled.
Garp understood immediately and reminded him, “Just don’t cause trouble, or at least don’t let me find out!”
“Of course. What could I possibly do?” Rokujin replied seriously. Naturally, this meant keeping the World Government or Navy from finding out. It was a matter of discretion.
“Alright, get ready. You’re heading to the East Blue in a few days. Make sure to check on Luffy!” Garp said before leaving.
“Got it, Grandpa!” Rokujin watched Garp leave and then retu his office to check the system rewards.
?Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the mission. Reward: Battleship +1, Energy Points +3, Swordsmanship +1, Physical Techniques +1!?
By completing the promotion to Rear Admiral mission, the system awarded Rokujin a steel battleship, larger than the typical Navy ships, which could also be stored in the system backpack. Very convenient!
…
At the same time, news of Rokujin’s appointment as Rear Admiral of the East Blue Navy Base spread worldwide through the news birds.
In the Dressrosa Palace, a man in a pink feather coat and sunglasses stared at the photo in the newspaper, a sinister smile spreading across his face. “Heh heh heh, so you’re the one who killed my subordinate? East Blue? Garp’s grandson!”
On a certain island in the New World.
“Ha ha ha! It’s Rokujin! That kid has become a Navy Rear Admiral!” Shanks laughed, holding a barrel of wine. Sitting beside him were his crew and a man with a large sword on his back, Mihawk. Mihawk brought the newspaper.
Mihawk asked, “Is he the one you mentioned before?”
“Yes, didn’t I say that kid is amazing? In a few years, he might even beat you!” Shanks joked.
Mihawk remained calm. “His talent is indeed exceptional. After all, he’s my disciple. Maybe in a year, he’ll be able to compete with you in swordsmanship.”
“Of course…” Shanks began, but then he realized something was off. “What? Rokujin is your disciple? Since when?”
“Two years ago, Garp sent him to learn swordsmanship from me,” Mihawk replied.
