Figo continuously received gains from the six other giants on the warship, supplementing the benefits. The level of Giant Power experienced a significant leap, directly elevating from Level 1 to Level 3. Figo felt a noticeable enhancement in his physique, with the most crucial change being his extended lifespan.
The over a thousand points surge in Giant Power unlocked a new threshold. Figo felt a restriction within his body had been lifted, every cell brimming with vitality, almost as if he were back in his teenage years.
This round alone extended his life by at least ten years!
However… teenage years? At 28, am I still growing? Amidst his joy, Figo also harbored a slight concern about this.
Any growth is fine.
But the issue is height.
At 2.5 meters, he was already tall enough.
Although non-giants can grow up to seven or eight meters tall in the world of pirates, Figo didn’t want to reach such an extreme height. Being too tall would make finding a wife difficult.
He would need to monitor this. If he continued growing, he would need to find a solution. His ideal maximum height was no more than three meters.
That’s a matter for the future.
Besides the supplemental gains from the giants, the two other CP9 members were also recorded in the prison archives.
Indeed, they didn’t reach SR level, but both were R9, with crime indexes slightly higher than Peslow’s: one at 14 and the other at 16, probably because they had carried out more dirty work. Just like this time, they publicly saved the giants.
“I said there weren’t enough cells.” Sweeping a glance over the seven cells, Figo muttered to himself.
With the nun and three CP9 members occupying one cell, only six cells remained for the seven giants. The two smallest giants huddled together in one cell.
Due to the limited space on the warship, the height of these cells was only eight meters, making it cramped for giants over twelve meters tall. Two giants in one cell were practically hugging each other.
Both of them had tears in their eyes.
“Boohoo… benefactors, we’ve dragged you into this!”
As they spoke, they curiously eyed the nun, puzzled about how the three benefactors turned into four… but that wasn’t important.
“Tell us your names, benefactors! Even if we are executed, even if we never meet again, the giants will always remember your friendship!”
Peslow remained stoic.
What’s the use? You’ve all been captured. No friendship will reach Elbaf. With the nun’s identity exposed, there will be more trouble. The mission is a complete failure. Everything will have to wait until we return to the Holy Land and meet with the Five Elders.
His silence only made the giants more emotional.
What kind of spirit is this? We never knew there were such good people among the dwarves?
“Boohoo…”
“Damn demon warden!”
“Even if you beat and humiliate us, the warriors of the giants will not yield!!”
Figo, feeling a bit embarrassed by the crying, thought back to the guards who cried when he left Impel Down. Why do people in the pirate world have this problem? Since he had already received the gains, he decided to give an order: “Go clean out the rear cabin and move these four into it.”
“Yes, Lord Figo!”
The marines immediately took action.
Peslow remained silent, cooperating as he was moved into the rear cabin. Once the door was locked, he nudged his two companions awake with his toe.
The young tiger CP9 felt as if all his bones were broken after being slammed by a giant. Fortunately, being a Zoan Devil Fruit user, his defense was strong. He groaned and woke up, attempting to sit up but was hindered by the chains.
“What… what’s going on?”
The female CP9, less injured, woke up faster and questioned in disbelief, “Peslow? That’s… the nun? What’s going on? Was it that warden? What’s he up to!”
“The warden…” The young tiger recalled, hissing, “That guy is a monster. We underestimated him. Peslow, you got captured too, and the giants were brought back?”
“So… now we need to find an opportunity to rescue ourselves and then the giants again, deepening our friendship? Isn’t this a bit too convoluted, Peslow?”
The female CP9: “…”
Peslow: “…”
You still think this is an act?
—
Outside.
“Those daring bastards!”
“Thank goodness Lord Figo was on the warship this time, otherwise they would have succeeded!”
“Lord Figo, we need to check on the island’s town. Commander Shaw and the others might need help…”
Figo: “I’ll go. You all stay here, guard the ship, and keep an eye on the prisoners until I get back.”
After running around capturing people, one of Figo’s goals was to experience the scenery of the towns in the pirate world, which he had yet to achieve.
Everything on the warship was in order. Unless the CP9 agents went crazy and exposed their identities, breaking the unspoken agreement to not reveal the truth about the execution, nothing more could go wrong. This trip, he could meet up with Shaw and take a tour of the town, while the others gathered supplies for the return trip.
So, Figo left the warship and headed towards the town. But before he got far, he ran into Shaw returning.
For some reason, Shaw was sneaking around, moving from tree to tree with extreme caution, as if man-eating monsters were on the warship.
“Shaw, why are you coming back alone?” Figo asked, approaching.
Shaw hadn’t noticed Figo, and the sudden voice startled him so much he fell to the ground, pale and trembling. Recognizing Figo, he jumped up excitedly.
“Lord Figo! You… you came from the warship?”
His state was indeed strange. Figo, puzzled, said, “Yes, what’s wrong? There were some incidents on the warship. Three CP9 agents and seven giants were captured by me…”
“Good capture!!” Shaw shouted.
Figo: “?”
Shaw, trembling, said, “Lord Figo, those bastard CP9… those bastards, all the marines participating in the execution, except me, are dead!”
“…What?”
—
A few minutes earlier.
At the town center, on the execution platform.
Half an hour had passed since the CP9 agents had intercepted the execution and fled with the giants. Finally, some brave residents began to climb the platform to check on the marines.
“Are they all dead?”
“How could this happen?”
“Is there no one alive?”
Shaw lay on the ground, almost falling asleep.
No one alive? They’re all alive.
Judging by the time, the CP9 agents should have completed their task. Can I get up now?
Just then, a resident checked on him, and he groaned, sitting up while holding his head, feigning confusion.
“Someone is alive!”
“This lieutenant commander is still alive!”
The residents were pleasantly surprised, asking, “Lieutenant Commander, are you okay?”
“Ah, I’m fine…” Shaw muttered, feeling puzzled that none of his subordinates had woken up. Did the CP9 agents hit them that hard?
“Where are the others and the enemies?” he asked.
“Those bastards who interrupted the execution ran off with the giants!” someone replied. “Your subordinates… it looks like only you survived.”
What?
Shaw was stunned, pushing aside the residents helping him, and quickly checked on the nearest marine.
No breath.
His face turned pale instantly.
Impossible!
He hurried to check the other marines.
But…
Dead! Dead!
All killed!
