One Piece My Partner is Too Crooked - Chapter 33
Aqua, who was drunk, was forcibly awakened by Icey the next day.
Today is the day to set sail. Since the goal is to operate a floating restaurant, moving everything from the restaurant, including pots, pans, tables, chairs, and refrigerators, onto the ship is necessary.
This is not an easy task. Fortunately, the villagers of Windmill Village came to help. Otherwise, Aqua, who could fall asleep while walking with just Icey, might not finish moving until who knows when!
The sailboat built by Icey for the carpenters is much smaller than the original Red-Footed Jeff’s floating restaurant, and it is not as grand as the Golden May Lily.
Sturdy masts stand in the middle of the hull, and the spacious deck has two layers of space.
The first layer is the dining area, which is not very large, only enough to accommodate six tables.
After all, cooking and preparing meals is not Icey’s main purpose for opening this floating restaurant, so there is no need for overly spacious areas or to hire staff.
The second layer is used for Icey and Aqua’s daily living, with a delicate and compact deck observation deck.
Flat entrances and exits are provided on both sides of the hull, allowing guests who want to dine to enter and exit freely.
Under Aqua’s insistence, the figurehead representing this ship is a statue of the Water Goddess erected at the bow.
In short, this is a single-masted sailboat with dining capabilities.
Apart from its restaurant function, it is not much different from an ordinary pirate ship.
“Thank you, three brothers, for your hard work. I am very satisfied with this ship. Let’s settle the payment now.”
On the only departure pier in Windmill Village, Icey asked the three carpenters beside him.
Initially, when building this ship, they estimated the price to be five hundred thousand berries. However, with the addition of a small restaurant and various other requests later on, it is obvious that the price of this ship is even higher now.
To Icey’s surprise, the three carpenters in white vests smiled at each other and waved their hands calmly as if they had already discussed it.
“We don’t need money. Throughout this year, you have always secretly given us extra food. We’ve noticed.”
Seeing Icey about to refuse, the lead carpenter with thick eyebrows continued, “To be honest, when we were young, my brothers and I also dreamed of sailing freely on the sea.”
“But when we really wanted to take action, we realized that we had grown up, and there were many more things to shoulder on our shoulders.”
At this point, another carpenter looked at Icey and continued, “That’s right, now we all have our own loved ones and children. Although we enjoy it, we don’t think those are shackles on our dreams. But we have to keep them deep in our hearts, waiting for the moment they shine again.”
“Since hearing about your plan to set sail, we realized that the time had come!”
At this point, all three carpenters looked up simultaneously, gazing at the single-masted sailboat docked at the shore, swaying quietly in the waves.
In the depths of their eyes, mixed with the traces of time, there flickered longing and yearning.
“This ship is an extension of our dreams. Please, take it and explore the vastness of the sea with it!”
“A man’s voyage should be filled with infinite freedom!”
The carpenters’ faces were filled with radiant and sincere smiles, touching in the sunlight.
“Since that’s the case, thank you very much.”
With the words said, Icey naturally had no reason to be polite.
After deeply apologizing to himself for having given them leftover beef, he looked at the three seriously and sincerely.
“This ship hasn’t been officially named yet, so I’ll let you name it.”
Upon hearing this, the three carpenters were stunned momentarily, and excitement appeared on their faces. “Can we really do that?!”
“Yes.” Icey affirmed.
Although it was just two simple words, they instantly stirred the long-dormant hearts of the three carpenters.
Tears of emotion welled up in their slightly wrinkled eyes, and in their blurred vision, they seemed to see their younger selves arguing endlessly on the beach over the name of a pirate ship.
“The Infinite… Dream!”
The carpenter with thick eyebrows regained his composure, wiping away the tears from the corners of his eyes. He looked at Icey pleadingly, “If it’s possible, Mr. Icey, please name this ship the Infinite Dream!”
“The endless dream…,” Icey murmured for a moment, then raised his thumb in approval, smiling, “That’s a fantastic name!”
Thus, the floating restaurant named Infinite Dream was officially born!
As Aqua and the helper Makino finished loading the final crate of wine onto the ship, it was time to say goodbye.
Prepared for departure, Icey and Aqua stepped onto the Infinite Dream via the gangway.
Upon hearing the ship’s name had been decided, Aqua, who was still half-drunk, suddenly sobered up and began to complain why it wasn’t named ‘Lady Aqua’ or ‘Blessings to Akwesasne’.
Icey simply silenced her with a single sentence, “Then buy the ship yourself,” effectively shutting her up.
Setting aside the carpenters’ sentiments, just these ridiculous names were not something he could accept!
Before leaving, Makino, the village chief Woop Slap, and other villagers rushed to the shore to bid farewell Icey and Aqua, expressing their blessings.
“Hey! Icey! Aqua!”
“When I grow up to be a real pirate, I’ll definitely become stronger than you guys and have more amazing companions. See you then!!!”
Luffy stretched his rubber hands, using his mouth as a loudspeaker, shouting to Icey and Aqua.
With tears in his innocent eyes, there was envy, reluctance, and a firm determination.
“I hope by then you can repay me the money you owe for the meal!”
Icey responded with a light smile from the stern.
Upon hearing this, the tearful Luffy immediately turned his face away, pretending to whistle innocently.
“This little brat!” Icey couldn’t help but shake his head and scold with a smile.
The refreshing sea breeze blew from a distance, the tide rising and falling, carrying the ship with its sails raised slowly towards the distance.
“Everyone, let’s bid them the most sincere farewell using Lady Aqua’s method!”
A dark-skinned middle-aged man among the villagers stepped forward.
It was the sea merchant who had helped Icey collect the bounty.
He looked towards the direction where the sailboat was heading and shouted, “As long as the followers of the Axis are serious, anything is possible. We are capable people, and if we don’t
Try, how would we know if we will succeed or not!”
“With our voices, let’s send them the most sincere blessings and support!”
“May the Goddess of the Water protect you! Good luck, Icey! Good luck, Lady Aqua!”
