- Chapter 43 - Who the hell taught you to use a sword like this!
Baki laughed heartily while mocking Icey’s innocence.
After leaving the circus headquarters, Icey carefully considered that if the other party were the outrageous monsters of the New World, they wouldn’t need to go through so much trouble to request a customized Baki bullet.
With the treasure map in hand and ample preparation, he had nothing to fear, even if the fake bullets were discovered early.
“Damn it! How dare you deceive even the great Water Goddess Aqua-sama?!”
The sharp laughter instantly ignited Aqua’s violent temper. Stepping forward, water began to swirl around her body.
She wanted to take direct action, summoning a deluge to drown all of Baki’s people!
“Calm down, Aqua.”
Standing beside her, Icey’s expression remained calm as he gently patted Aqua’s shoulder, interrupting her spellcasting.
“Huh? Being deceived can only blame your stupidity. Do you still want to start a war with us?”
Baki noticed Aqua’s actions and clapped his hands, prompting his pirate crewmen to immediately roll out two large-caliber cannons.
The creaking of machinery sounded as the dark and cold cannon muzzles aimed at Icey and Aqua.
Even so, Icey’s expression remained undisturbed.
“Captain Baki, don’t you want to look at the treasure map in your hand first?”
“What did you say?!”
Baki was startled, quickly spreading out the parchment in his hand.
The fresh strokes of paint made him suspicious.
“The treasure point indicated by this map seems a bit familiar…”
“Damn it! It’s the garbage dump in Orange Town!”
After carefully studying the winding path on the treasure map, Baki’s arrogant smile froze in place.
But instead of disappearing, this smile transferred to the faces of Icey and Aqua.
“Although it’s garbage, with careful searching, there might be unexpected treasures. Isn’t that right, Captain Baki?” Icey chuckled.
“Ahahaha! So it’s a garbage dump! It’s suitable for you, you useless, dirty, ugly, red-nosed fool! But be careful not to step on dog poop when treasure hunting!” Aqua laughed heartily.
Baki’s beast tamer, Moji, came over and added, “You’ve been played, Captain Baki.”
“Shut up!” Baki was dumbfounded, angrily tearing the scrap paper in his hand into pieces.
“Let’s end these boring tricks here, Baki,” Icey said calmly, returning to his calm demeanor.
“That’s right,” Baki said with a dark expression as he stood up from the sofa.
Only now did he truly regard the young man in front of him as cunning as himself, as an opponent.
And then, there was no “and then.”
The two stared at each other, neither willing to be the first to reveal their cards.
“Alright, Baki, since neither of us wants to give in first, let’s decide on the pirate way. How about that?” Icey paused momentarily, then said seriously, “I’ll stand still, and you guys can have someone come and cut me three times.”
“If I hum or dodge, it’s considered my loss, and I’ll willingly hand over the treasure map!”
Before Baki could respond, his crewmen behind him were energized, their eyes filled with murderous intent.
“To think there would be such a foolish guy in the world? Even if the body is tough, the eyes and throat are still vulnerable, and there will always be something you can’t bear!”
