One Piece Nine Tails - Chapter 256
The units from the Red Alert Construction Vehicle are pre-set technologies. Building the Combat Laboratory unlocks these units, but technological advancements don’t stop there.
A nation must advance its technology for it to develop. Scientific progress is the primary driving force, and the Combat Laboratory is designed for this purpose.
Engineers or some locally developed scientists can rapidly advance in this environment. Yuan Yi only needs them to create blueprints, which he can manufacture using the mechanical fabricator. This setup is highly efficient.
But now, in a manor near the Combat Laboratory, Yuan Yi is engaged in something far from scientific.
He continues to research Toki Amatsuki’s ability to use Devil Fruit.
Months have passed, and during this time, he has gradually uncovered some secrets of the Time-Time Fruit.
Previously, he had sent Demon Dragon one year into the future. After that, he noticed that his sensory connection with the Demon Dragon had become extremely faint.
It took several months for him to understand what was happening.
There were no traces of Yuan Yi’s presence in the future where Demon Dragon now resided!
No Black Order, no large-scale Ten Commandments faith, no demons!
Yes, it was an everyday world of marines and pirates, just as it would have been without Yuan Yi’s interference.
The sensory link being so faint meant he spent months piecing this together.
In that future world, Demon Dragon was the sole anomaly.
He developed a theory.
Consider the world as a point, with past and future as countless lines extending from this point. Traveling to the future means skipping all intermediate points to reach a desired point on one of these lines.
This represents the past, present, and future of a single line.
However, there are other lines, meaning there’s also a possibility of jumping to another line. While these lines generally start from the same essential point and are mainly similar, they sometimes diverge slightly.
Yuan Yi’s situation is different. He’s like a virus entering a line, gradually separating this line from others and replacing the fundamental point. Every step he takes creates a new worldline.
Thus, his progression is not a complex line but a segment.
So, the future of this world can only be born in his hands. The timeline created by the Time-Time Fruit sent his clone to a future based on the original fundamental point.
But his powers transcend time, allowing him to sense Demon Dragon’s actions and receive emotional energy from that future.
The energy, however, is weakened due to the temporal separation.
This realization excited him.
One day, he could influence the future of the original world line.
Having figured this out, Yuan Yi resumed his wait.
During the wait, he had Demon Dragon, with his faint senses, leave signs of demonic influence in that future. These might be useful later.
Even with the blurry sensory link, Demon Dragon, as a clone, possesses intelligence akin to Yuan Yi’s, so there’s no risk of malfunction.
He had Demon Dragon leave a coiled dragon statue and an inscription hidden in a valley.
The inscription stated that finding twelve charms and embedding them in the statue would awaken the “King’s Treasure.” Demon Dragon also left a shard of the Shikon Jewel there.
Pirates loved adventures, so Yuan Yi decided to create some for them.
The Shikon Jewel shard acted as a beacon. Even if Demon Dragon left, Yuan Yi could use the shard to attempt to locate the area.
Though such sensing would be even more blurry…
Sensing a slight movement in the Shikon Jewel shard would be a success!
Yuan Yi believed the Demon Dragon could return.
Since Demon Dragon is part of him, an anomaly, it likely pulls him back into the intended world line once this world reaches a year past his time jump.
Not just Demon Dragon, but the world itself.
This world, altered by Yuan Yi, was significantly different from others and would exert a stronger pull.
As expected, a year later, Yuan Yi felt a pull. With a grasp, Demon Dragon reappeared from the void.
He really could come back…
This made Yuan Yi wonder about traveling to other worlds.
Receiving weakened emotional energy due to temporal separation suggested that if his main body went, it would be like having another source of emotional energy.
Moreover, he had another idea…
If he went to another world and altered it by integrating laws from his world, would the two altered worlds eventually converge due to gravitational pull?
Just like Demon Dragon being pulled back, would these worlds also merge?
What would happen then?
Would the planets collide?
Or would they merge?
Yuan Yi’s excitement grew as he thought about it, believing it would be fascinating.
However…
For such convergence, not only must he use laws from other worlds, but the same laws must be present in both worlds.
For instance, his current world includes Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Chainsaw Man, League of Legends, Bleach, and A Certain Magical Index elements. The converging world would need similar laws to generate enough pull for convergence.
In other words, if he drew cards from the same worlds, he could manifest them in another world.
He realized he could repeatedly draw the Shikon Jewel shards, Doraemon’s gadgets, and…
Clow Cards from Cardcaptor Sakura.
As for characters, none from the same world had appeared yet.
