One Piece Nine Tails - Chapter 263
“Mirror Card: From the world of Cardcaptor Sakura, it is one of the Clow Cards. It has the magic to replicate people or objects, symbolizing the period of deeply understanding oneself.”
“Fire Card: From the world of Cardcaptor Sakura, it is one of the Clow Cards. It represents the element of fire and has the magic to control fire, symbolizing strong beliefs and overcoming difficulties.”
“Dash Card: From the world of Cardcaptor Sakura, it is one of the Clow Cards. It has the magic for rapid movement but cannot last long, symbolizing victory through a burst of power and fighting oneself.”
Garp would have a long struggle with his right arm. Meanwhile, Yuan Yi began his next plan.
Whenever his positive emotion value reached the million level, he would draw a card, always using the Clow Cards as a medium.
He drew three more Clow Cards, adding to his collection. Along with the Erase Card, he now had four Clow Cards.
Through his previous experience using the erase card in another dimension, he discovered ways to utilize the Clow Cards in the world of One Piece.
These Clow Cards could merge into a person’s body, granting the holder the Clow Card’s magic. Alternatively, they could transform from cards into spirits to fight independently.
When he made Whitebeard’s power disappear, he let the Erase Card merge into his body. The merged power made it more robust.
Now, with three more cards, he could proceed with his next steps.
Mirror Card, Fire Card, and Dash Card…
He had previously thought about creating an organization to guide Luffy. Now, he could finally start forming it.
“I don’t necessarily have to stick to Clow Cards,” Yuan Yi thought. “I also have the Sternritters’ Schrift. I could make the carriers of these powers look like cards.”
That would be for later. For now, he needed to start creating the organization.
“First, a name.”
Using cards to form an organization, he first thought of the Tarot Society, but he needed to have tarot cards.
Clow Society? The name fit, but it seemed meaningless. These cards could be called Yuan Yi Cards by now.
“Twilight… Hermit Society?”
The name suddenly came to him, fitting for an organization that guides the era and drives the tides of the time.
“Not bad,” Yuan Yi’s lips curled into a smile. Having someone able to turn thoughts into reality, like Gremmy, was perfect for the role of Adam.
During this time, Gremmy’s brain had been fully utilized.
Using the artificial telekinetic human as the body, Vegapunk replaced the brain with Gremmy Thoumeaux’s, resulting in a being of incredible power.
With an ordinary artificial human, Yuan Yi could only control them. But after merging with Gremmy, it was different.
Gremmy’s power was almost entirely derived from Yuan Yi, making him more like an extension of Yuan Yi himself.
And now, he had a new name, Adam.
Adam held a charm, the Sheep Talisman, which Yuan Yi had drawn long ago. Using its power, he dragged his chosen target into a deep sleep.
…
“Garp finally accepting the new era, huh.”
Out on the sea, aboard the Roger Pirates’ ship, Roger was reading a newspaper with a bright spirit.
The headline read, “Great Pirate Chinjao Defeated by Garp! Revitalized Garp Declares War on All Pirates!”
Chinjao should have been defeated by Garp years ago, but Ann had taken much of Garp’s role in this timeline. It wasn’t until this year that Garp faced Chinjao.
Poor Chinjao became the first test subject for Garp’s new right arm.
“How are you feeling now?”
The doctor Crocus, who had joined Roger from Twin Cape and traveled to the New World, asked while sitting beside him.
“How do I feel? Great, of course!” Roger laughed, showing no concern for his impending death.
“Captain Roger is lying! He was coughing up blood this morning!”
A much older Shanks immediately jumped in.
“Ahahaha, that’s normal!” Roger ruffled Shanks’ hair, laughing. “I really feel good. The closer I get to the end of my life, the more I feel at peace. In this state, I feel almost omnipotent.”
“I have a premonition. Before I die, I will reach the pinnacle of Observation Haki!”
“The pinnacle?” Shanks’ eyes sparkled with curiosity. “What kind of pinnacle?”
“Hahaha!” Roger spread his arms wide. “Everything in the world, past, present, and future, will appear in your mind. Any information can be extracted and analyzed. Then, I can read the ancient texts and find the final island!”
“Amazing…” Shanks looked up with admiration.
“What’s the use of being amazing if you’re about to die?” Crocus poured cold water on the excitement. “It’s really hard to say what’s wrong with you. Such a monstrous body can still fall ill.”
“I told you, it’s a curse!”
“You, the patient, stop arguing with me, the doctor!”
“Stupid doctor, I’m the captain here!”
Seeing the dispute brewing between Roger and Crocus, Shanks yawned as a drowsiness hit him.
Stretching, he walked back to his room, falling asleep as soon as he hit the bed.
In his dreams, Shanks felt like he floated to another world, half asleep and half awake. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in an unknown place.
This world was shrouded in thick clouds with very low visibility. He could barely see half a meter ahead.
He was sitting in an opulent chair in front of a table.
On the table was a card with an image of an animal resembling a long-eared cat. The card was labeled with a word at the top and bottom.
“Dash.”
