One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 208
New World, Punk Hazard
Three days have passed since Barrett and Queen left. At this moment, Locke is in the laboratory after receiving a notification from Dr. Vegapunk.
Locke takes the white longsword from Vegapunk’s hand and gazes at it. The once pure white sword occasionally emits a cold, dark red glow. Locke is excited.
“Did it work, Vegapunk?” Locke asks, excited.
“Hehe, of course,” Vegapunk replies confidently. Locke tightly grips the sword; his eyes are filled with excitement.
“An!”
“I’m here, Captain Locke!” Upon hearing Locke’s call, the seemingly ordinary white sword in Lo Locke’s hand suddenly comes to life.
It transforms into a small white bat with a hint of a dark red aura, flapping its wings and landing on Locke’s palm.
“Captain Locke, I’m your little princess, An! Please take care of me from now on.” Locke is surprised by the sight of the bat talking to him and doesn’t know how to react.
Seeing Locke’s surprise, An flies closer to his face, sticks out her tongue, and playfully licks his cheek.
Feeling the moisture on his cheek, Locke finally regains his composure and gently grabs An.
“I never expected that after eating a Devil Fruit, you, An, who used to be so quiet, would become mischievous like this,” Locke remarks.
“Hehehe, now An can talk to Captain Locke! Isn’t it amazing?” An asks proudly. Amused by her proud expression, Locke nods. “Indeed, it’s quite astonishing. Alright, An, tell me about your abilities now.”
An becomes even more delighted when Locke asks about her abilities. “Hehe, An is quite powerful now. I can freely transform into a bat and even take on a vampire form to assist you in battle. Moreover, I can create a black mist and hide within it.”
While An boasts about her abilities, Locke is left speechless. However, amid his speechlessness, he is also surprised.
He never expected that his sword, An, would inherit all these abilities after consuming a Devil Fruit. It’s truly remarkable.
“All right, An, aside from your innate abilities, do you have any others?” Locke interrupts An’s bragging to ask.
He pouts and looks a bit unhappy but answers Locke’s question honestly. “Currently, An’s abilities are at your disposal, Captain Locke.
Additionally, I possess a unique ability: during battles, I can continuously feed on the opponent’s blood and convert it into life force, which I can then transfer to you.
It can rapidly heal your injuries and restore your stamina.” Hearing this, Locke becomes extremely excited. He went to great lengths to find a mythical Zoan-type vampire devil fruit for An, hoping to gain this exact ability.
His only weakness in battle was that he couldn’t sustain his stamina when facing equally powerful opponents. With An’s assistance, that weakness would be overcome.
“Excellent, An.” Locke grabs An and places her on his shoulder. “From now on, you’ll be a great asset in battles.”
“Hehehe, of course! An is super amazing!” Replies proudly. Watching Lox and his weapon chat happily, Vegapunk can’t help but feel perplexed.
“Alright, now that your business is done, you can leave. I need to continue my research,” Vegapunk says.
“Fine, fine, you can go on with your work.” Lox casually responds before leaving the laboratory, An perched on his shoulder.
“That guy can be so heartless, asking for my help when he needs it and kicking me out when he doesn’t,” Vegapunk mutters with a slight smile before immersing himself in his research once again.
As Locke walks down the corridor, An suddenly remembers something and removes a golden handgun from her waist.
“Hey, Tengshe, I’ve brought a new friend for you.” Upon Locke’s words, the magnificent golden handgun begins to twist and transform, turning into a serpent with wings surrounded by mist.
“Hiss…”
“Wow, Captain Locke, you have such an amazing weapon!” An exclaims, surprised, as she observes Tengshe.
“Oh, Tengshe was created by Vegapunk during his research. I thought it looked pretty cool, so I took it,” Locke casually explains.
“Both of you, have fun together,” Locke says before leaving the room.
“Hiss…”
“Yay, let’s have fun!” An doesn’t wait for Tengshe’s opinion and pulls him along as they fly out of the room. Locke watches their departure with a smile. “She really is like a child.”
New World, Wano Country.
After three days of sailing, Barrett finally arrived at the entrance to Wano Country with the Queen. They stand before a massive waterfall, figuring out how to proceed.
“Hey, Queen, didn’t you used to be part of Kaido’s crew? Do you know how to get up there?” Barrett asks.
Queen looks equally puzzled. “Mh-mh, even though I was with Kaido’s crew, I never logged in before. I don’t know…”
Barrett stares at Queen in disbelief. “You’re completely useless, you know that?” Queen chuckles in response.
“Mh-mh… What can I say? If you don’t know how to get up there, we should call Kaido and ask him to send someone to fetch us.”
“That seems to be the only option,” Queen agrees. Queen takes the Den Den Mushi and dials Kaido’s number. Soon, a gruff voice answers from the other end.
“Queen, you dare contact me? What do you want?” Kaido’s voice is filled with killing intent.
Queen, undeterred, grins mischievously. “Mh-mh-mh… Kaido, don’t be so angry. Today, I’m bringing something good to you.”
“Let’s not sour our relationship over trivial matters.”
“Hmph! Queen, you dare show your face here in front of me?”
“I’ve reached the entrance to Wano Country, Kaido. Hurry up and send someone to pick us up.”
“Hmph!”
