One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 210
After arranging everything, Locke decided he didn’t want to stay on Punk Hazard Island any longer. Watching scientists conduct various research activities all day had become boring for Locke.
He couldn’t understand what they were doing, and with no one to keep him company, Locke felt that this place was unbearable.
After preparing all the necessary sailing supplies in the afternoon, Locke boarded the ship directly and gave the order to set sail back.
Bakel waved goodbye to Locke at the Punk Hazard port with a light smile. “Little Locke, make sure to come and visit when you have time, and next time, bring Luce along to play. It’s been so long since we’ve seen Luce.”
“Ah, I got it. Well, I’m leaving for now, Bakel. When you’re not busy with research, come and visit too.”
“I understand. Goodbye.” Locke waved his hand and walked towards the cabin.
“Hehe, Captain Locke, where are we going next?” An became a small bat, perched on Locke’s shoulder, asking cheerfully.
“Hiss, hiss…” Teng slid out of Locke’s waist, transforming into a small snake and coiling around Locke’s waist, hissing.
“Well, what’s next? We’re heading back to headquarters, Hundred Flowers Island, and Grimms.”
“Hundred Flowers Island! Wow, the name sounds so beautiful!”
“Hiss, hiss…”
“Little Teng, what did you say? Are there countless flowers blooming on the island all year round?”
“Hiss, hiss…”
“Wow! That’s amazing! Little Teng, when we get to Hundred Flowers Island, you must take me on a tour!”
Locke watched the conversation between the two with some disbelief. How were these two able to understand each other’s language?
Locke placed An and Teng She on the deck, letting them play alone, then walked into the captain’s quarters alone. He suddenly felt a bit tired and needed a nap.
In the New World, on Bajin Island.
The island was currently engulfed in smoke. Flames continued to burn. The once peaceful village had turned into a raging inferno. The bodies of villagers were scattered everywhere. The red blood had turned black over time.
“Damn it, this entire village had such a small amount of treasure. It’s too poor. I’ve wasted so much effort. Damn it!”
A petite woman with short golden hair, a golden necklace, and various gemstone rings on each finger muttered to herself.
She had thick red lips, leaned on a cane, wore a leopard-print coat, and large black glasses covered her slightly aged face.
“Come on, you idiot son. Let’s go to the sea and see if we can find a fat sheep.” The woman called out to a distant figure and grumbled as she walked towards the port.
“Oh, I see, Mom!” A figure slowly emerged from the flames, following the woman towards the port.
Ten miles away from Bajin Island, the ship Locke was on sailed smoothly on the sea. “It looks like we’re almost at Bajin Island. The tavern on that island has good liquor. When we get there, I’ll have a good drink.”
“Tsk, Captain Locke didn’t say we’re going to Bajin Island, so don’t get your hopes up.”
“Yeah, instead of going to that little town for a drink, it’s better to hurry back to Grimms. The wine at the Yelu family’s place is the best.” The pirates on the island chatted idly. Sailing on the sea could be quite monotonous.
“Ding, ding, ding…” Just as the pirates were chatting idly, the alarm bell on the ship suddenly rang.
“We’ve spotted a pirate ship ahead! We’ve spotted a pirate ship! Everyone, prepare yourselves! Everyone, prepare yourselves!” The lookout shouted.
“Haha! Finally, we’ve encountered pirates! It won’t be too boring now!”
“Quick, I want to fire the first shot!”
“I’ll go inform Captain Lox. You all get ready to meet their attack.”
“Hahaha! Lookout, how many people are on their side?” Upon hearing the lookout’s words, the pirates on the ship lost interest.
“What’s this? Only two people? A man and a woman? Can’t get excited at all.”
“That’s right, I thought we could have some fun.” Before long, Locke, who had been yawning, walked out of the cabin.
“Ah, what pirate crew are they from, and how many are there?” Locke lazily asked the nearby pirates.
“Reporting to Captain Locke, there are only two people on their side, a man and a woman. As for the pirate crew, I’m sorry, Captain Locke, but I don’t recognize their pirate flag.” The pirate replied cautiously.
“…”
A mere two-person rookie pirate crew is coming to disturb his rest. “Never mind, if this two-person rookie pirate crew doesn’t provoke us, let it be.” Saying this, Locke prepared to return to the cabin and continue sleeping.
“Whoosh…”
“Boom!” Just as Locke was about to leave, a cannonball flew from a distance and exploded not far from him.
“?!!!”
“Damn it! They dared to fire first! Everyone, counterattack!” The leader of the pirate squad roared in anger upon seeing the enemy’s preemptive attack.
Following the captain’s orders, the pirates on the ship quickly got excited. They loaded the cannons one after another and fired them.
“Boom, boom, boom!” For a moment, the sound of cannon fire became the main theme on this otherwise peaceful sea.
“Quick, keep firing at them! Damn it, how dare they attack us, the Locke Pirates? Unforgivable!”
The pirate helmsman angrily directed his subordinates to fire furiously. In no time, hundreds of cannonballs destroyed the enemy.
Seeing the sinking pirate ship, the pirates of the Locke Pirate Crew started cheering excitedly.
“Hahaha! See that? This is what happens when you provoke the Locke Pirate Crew!”
“Bring the ship over and salvage the enemy’s treasure. That’s our spoils of war!”
“Hehehe, I hope they’re not from a poor pirate crew.”
“Swoosh!”
Just as the pirates were steering the ship over to begin salvaging, a massive blue crescent moon slashed through the waves and charged towards the ship, creating a storm.
“Hey, hey! Are you kidding me?”
“Quick, someone stop it!”
“Damn it! It’s too late!”
“Buzz!” Just as the blue crescent moon was about to hit the ship, a purple slash shot out from its cabin, instantly shattering it.
“Geez, why do we always run into troublemakers like this?” Locke grumbled and ruffled his hair.
At that moment, he was wearing a black yukata, draped in a purple feather weave, holding a black crescent moon, and a small bat named An perched on his shoulder while Teng She floated beside his head, flicking its tongue.
“Captain Locke!”
“Captain Locke is here!”
“We’re saved!”
“Hehe, little guy, I didn’t expect this ship to be yours.” Just as the pirates were cheering, a voice came from the crowd.
“Tsk, tsk, Miss Bajin. Why don’t you retire peacefully? What are you doing causing trouble on the high seas?” Locke asked, his tone casual and lazy.
“Humph! Enough with the nonsense, Locke brat. Either leave this ship and all its treasures behind, or watch it sink to the depths of the sea.”
“Weibur!”
