One Piece Seat Void - Chapter 216
“Dressrosa, the Colosseum.”
Edward Weibull’s whole body exuded a terrifying, killing aura that roared in a crimson-eyed frenzy. The entire arena was trembling under his overwhelming presence.
“Roar!” Weibull raised the crude knife with a roar and forcefully cleaved it down.
“Buzz!” Following his swing, the massive crescent moon strike carried an unmatched force as it surged toward the spectator stands.
“No, this is bad!”
“Quick, get out of the way! I don’t want to die!”
“Don’t, someone please save me!” The spectators in the front row of the stands screamed in panic as the crescent moon strike approached, frantically scattering in all directions.
Locke remained expressionless as she watched the crescent moon strike approaching directly in front of her.
“An.”
“Yes, Captain!” In response to Locke’s soft call, the small bat An rapidly transformed into a snow-white longsword with a hint of crimson and flew into Locke’s hand.
“What a troublemaker this guy is.” Locke muttered and then fiercely swung the longsword in her hand.
A purple strike shot straight out, colliding head-on with the blue crescent moon strike. The terrifying power instantly shattered the blue crescent moon strike, continuing its unrelenting momentum as it charged toward Weibull below.
“Roar!!!” Weibull’s eyes turned crimson, and his face contorted in a beastly roar as he faced the oncoming purple strike, gripping his crude knife tightly, raising it high, and then swinging it down with all his might. The knife struck the purple strike.
“Buzz!”
“Ughhh!”
Crack
A sound of breaking echoed as Weibull’s crude knife directly snapped. Showing no mercy, the purple strike crossed over the broken knife and swiftly slashed across his body.
Splat
Red blood sprayed, and a massive wound appeared on Weibull’s body. Struck by the blow, Weibull’s eyes rolled back, and he collapsed backwards, losing consciousness.
Having easily dealt with Weibull, Locke released An. She swiftly transformed from a longsword into an adorable little bat, landing firmly on Locke’s shoulder.
“Wow, wow, wow! Truly the great leader, Locke! You defeated that big fool with just one strike! You’re incredible!”
Hiss, hiss… The Snake coiled around Locke’s waist and joined in with excited hisses.
“Heh, you two, stop with the flattery. Alright, you two, figure out how to wake Weibull up; it’s time to go.”
“Huh!!!” Hearing Locke’s words, An and the Snake made puzzled sounds.
“Why the heck not! The match isn’t over yet, is it? Besides, I don’t want to be the one to lift that big guy.” An was very reluctant to move Weibull.
Whether it was because of Weibull’s massive weight or his silly appearance, An didn’t want to do it.
“Alright, stop being so unwilling. If you don’t want to go, then Snake, you go wake up Weibull.”
“Snake, you go and deal with that guy, and then follow me to the Draculosa Palace for the banquet.”
Hiss, hiss… The Snake obeyed, swiftly flying over to Weibull and, hovering above him, created a mist to lift Weibull.
Hiss, hiss… The Snake controlled the mist with another hiss and carried Weibull towards Locke.
“Hmph!” An watched the Snake’s diligent efforts, grumbling unhappily. Seeing An’s tsundere-like attitude, Locke chuckled and ruffled her head.
“Let’s go; I’ll take you to a great feast.” At this moment, the Draculosa Palace was quite lively.
After Princess Scalet invited Locke to the evening banquet upon her return, the entire palace became bustling with activity.
They were doing their utmost to entertain Lorx and make him happy. The chefs were constantly cooking various delicacies in the kitchen, and the maids were busy serving.
“Everyone, give it your all! Cook at the highest level you’ve ever reached in your lives!”
“We’re about to host the super pirates of the high seas, Locke! If anyone angers Captain Locke because of poorly cooked food, I’ll personally deal with them!”
The head chef in the kitchen kept shouting. King Lycus of the Dressrosa Kingdom and his family gathered in the palace to discuss something.
“Scalet, is that Locke fellow really just here without any ulterior motives?” King Lycus appeared somewhat nervous as he looked at Scalet. For them, the reputation of the Locke Pirates was extremely famous and fearsome.
“Hehe, don’t worry, Father. Captain Locke isn’t interested in our poor little country.” Princess Scalet chuckled as she reassured her father.
“That’s good then. As long as he doesn’t harm the kingdom’s citizens, that’s better than anything else.” With Scalet’s repeated assurances, King Lycus finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“Ah, our country is still too small. In a sea like the New World, it’s hard to make any progress without significant national strength.”
King Lycus suddenly felt a little emotional. As the king of the New World, he had seen too many countries destroyed by pirates due to their weak national power.
The Dressrosa Kingdom, located in the first half of the New World, close to the Marine G1 Base, and relatively close to the Red Land where the World Government was located, was considered relatively safe as a member of the World Government.
Strong pirates usually didn’t bother attacking Dressrosa, considering its geographic location.
Therefore, despite not having a particularly powerful national strength, the Dressrosa Kingdom survived in a sea filled with strong individuals like the New World.
“Father, when this matter is over, we still need to find ways to strengthen our national power.”
“Whether it’s recruiting talented individuals from the common folk or increasing the number of soldiers, it’s all necessary. After all, in a sea like this, we have no choice but to get stronger.” Scalet also felt a bit emotional.
As the princess of the Dressrosa Kingdom, she had to bear a lot of responsibility despite her glamorous appearance.
The kingdom queen had passed away early, and the king had no intention of remarrying, so Scalet had to shoulder the burden.
“Alright, Scalet, you did well this time. Go wash up and change your clothes.”
“It’s getting late; Captain Locke should be arriving soon.” King Lycus looked at the sky outside and then spoke to Scalet.
“I understand, Father. I’ll take my leave then.” Scalet gave a slight bow and gracefully exited the palace. After Scalet had completely left, King Lycus looked at the palace roof and muttered to himself.
“Recruit talent from the common folk, huh? Well, forget it; when I have time, I’ll go to the coliseum and see that guy for myself.”
